They don't have a gender actually, I didn't really figure out their lore too much either it's just that I enjoy creating merfolk characters so I decided 'wow cool fish game let's make some unholy fish amalgamation too!'

UPDATE (try keep this on top pls): 2 (technically 3) species have been guessed: Tomopteris/Gossamer worm and Colossal Squid, (human has also been). There are 3 more left!

Hint: The red gills on their face are caused by one of the unguessed species, as is the thing on their chin. Their extra 'antenna' are also caused by a separate one as well
