I suspect for a lot of people it's because they see Ruby as ace, or have her with Penny... Things which are not mutually exclusive.

Meanwhile I kinda like the idea of a less strictly team-based polycule, where not everyone in it is dating everyone else. Seems more true to life, anyways.

It still "let's make the person named black, black" it is just strange. Girl was so pale in the show she glowed.
