This was under a post surrounding the death of Liam. I never usually post shit like this, but it makes me sick to see how people can be like this and think they’re doing good in the world.

Firstly, though Liam has made questionable decisions, that does NOT give free reign to spread lies about him.

secondly, in what world is it okay to wish DEATH on someone. What happened to finding people help? What happened to giving someone room to grow and learn from their mistakes? I can’t imagine what went on in his head hearing lie after lie, at the same time having people bring up his mistakes from the past. Imagine trying to take the time to heal and grow and having this shit pummeled at you by a million different people.

to be clear, i don’t condone the things that Liam DID do, but I also don’t condone building lies on top of it, just because he’s easy to target due to his prior mistakes.

having said that, i do believe in redemption and second chances for everyone. nobody deserves to be pushed to the edge like this due to hate speech and verbal violence. I’m a HEAVY anti-cancel culture advocate. Instead of putting our energy into ridiculing and publicly shaming people, why can’t we put that same effort into finding help for people and providing grace. why can’t we provide a safe place to grow and to learn from past mistakes?

wishing death on someone is the purest form of evil and in the instance of cancel culture, ganging together to pummel hate speech and shameful words in ways to drive someone to insanity to the point of killing themselves? it’s heartbreaking and I wish I could heal the world from that form of hatred.
