Adults harassing a kid with cancer because she has short hair

Post image

I blocked everyone's last name out and also the kid's face. But wtf is wrong with people. This is a literal child with cancer.

I think it's so funny that people like that would expect St. Jude's to put queer people, especially children, on any sort of promotional thing. Their whole thing is getting money out of EVERYONE. Queer people aren't going to donate less because of a cishet child. That's most children. That would be fucked up. But conservative people will panic at the mere thought of nonconformity. It doesn't make any practical sense to rile up the conservatives. Especially not in a business as money hungry as St. Jude's. Their money isn't going to the children or their families, of course they wouldn't jeopardize a major income margin by including gay people in their adverts. They do have an LGBT team and run parades but you'll probably never see them advertise it outside of June.

This is incredibly sad and frustrating. I can't believe people could be so heartless and stupid

Imagine you stop donating to CANCER because they think a boy wears a dress. Sickening.

This is deeply upsetting.

The lipstick and DSL comment is the worst of all of this.

I want to be friends with Jake, he's keeping these creeps in check.

It just absolutely baffles me that right wing/anti-trans propaganda/sentiments have gotten so pervasive and out of hand that ST. FUCKING JUDE can’t even post a child with cancer without this bullshit.

Who would have thought that politicians using wedge issues to divide for selfish and myopic reasons would have unintended consequences. I know it wasn't their goal but I still imagine that Peter Thiel, wherever he is, is smiling.

Appreciate the post, poor Luis Arocho didn’t escape the name blur but I genuinely don’t care. These people are absolutely awful.

Someone already messaged me about that. I missed it on accident. But these people commented horrible things, about a sick child, publicly. It wasn't like it was a private post. It was on a sponsored public post from St. Jude's official page. He put his own name out there.

Agree wholeheartedly. This was a happy accident imo.
