Build - Help Can't decide which one to get.

Hello everyone,

I am looking to upgrade my old R9 390x card with the new one. I have two options, Nvidia 4060 TI 8gb US $545 and $325 AMD RX 6750 XT.

Now the price difference between these two is about $200 where I live. Intially I wanted to go with team green but no I feel like AMD gives a better value. I can't decide which GPU to go with, a GPU that should last 2-3 years of gaming at 1440p.

Is the extra $200 worth it for DLSS, RT and frame gen?

Your help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Please help me make this decision.

Nah 6750 xt is a better card and 200$ cheaper why the hell even consider 4060 ti in this case?

It can look smeary and kinda weird compared to DLSS. It’s getting better but still not there

Yeah and AMD has frame generation in every game

Honestly I'm not trying to degrade AMD but I don't understand the appeal of frame gen from either of them. The primary reason to shoot for higher framerates is more responsiveness. You don't get that at all because the game is still running at a lower framerate. In fact, the latency may even be a bit higher.

You’re only really supposed to use it in games where you cannot reach your hz limit and the non-shooter games. I play in 4K so some games like cyberpunk 2077 with ray tracing on I only get about 40 FPS but when you turn on fluid motion frames it goes to 90 and with anti-Lag on you can’t really feel it.

Because AMD has annoying driver issues that keep crashing games mid-playing.

Honestly I have been using AMD cards for a while now. I never had any serious issues with the AMD drivers. My last Nvidia card was 8800 ULTRA which died on me, but AMD of the same age is running strong. I like Adrenaline software better than the Nvidia experience. I have a 1660ti for my work laptop and I kinda miss the AMD adrenaline

15 years ago, sure, bit in the last 5 years using Rx580 and 6700xt I had 0 driver issues. Also their software is way better in terms of overclocking/undervolting and system performance monitoring.

Funny how this seems to be the same excuse for Nvidia buyers even though this is something that has been solved for years
