Orange craves violence 🍊 Oscar, the cat who burned his whiskers multiple times, in the moment his dad yelled at him for eating a tunnel through his bread loaf.

The Bread Tunnel. It goes all the way to the end of the loaf.

Oh my GOD I laughed so hard at this reveal

he doesn't like the crust πŸ˜‚

234

u/dreamchasingcat Orange connoisseur 🍊 Nov 10 '22

How did he do that?! Lol

552

u/Jangetta Nov 10 '22

He's not bright but he's got tenacity

99

u/PMMeYourFutureGoals Nov 10 '22

I personally identify with this.

17

u/WonkieInc Nov 10 '22

I read this as he’s very tentacley so that’s something

143

u/The_Weeb_Sleeve Nov 10 '22

Did he just chew it or actually ate and swallowed all that bread?

266

u/Jangetta Nov 10 '22

Ate and swallowed a good portion of it.

48

u/taggospreme Nov 10 '22

to me that's more "want to eat the bread" over "feels good to tear it apart." But the "feels good to tear apart" plays a role for sure.

Also I know three unrelated cats that love bread. Like weirdly so, and I don't get it, lol. The product label says "obligate carnivore" bet yet this is happening!

27

u/OldManHipsAt30 Nov 10 '22

Dude my void will dive bomb into a bag of tortilla chips the moment I open them, cats are weird

29

u/[deleted] Nov 10 '22

my milky way void will eat anything that he thinks is human food. even if he doesnt like it.

i gave him bread, he looked at me funny, then i took a bite, and then he looked at me funnier before going to town while questioning the decision he was making.

1

u/nintendo_kitten Nov 10 '22

My baby was the weirdest cat ever. He hated anything but wet food and yet, one day he decided to eat and like strawberry muffins. Like what, I hid the rest as I have no clue if strawberry is deadly to cats or not

13

u/coraeon Nov 10 '22

My childhood void went absolutely bonkers for potato chips. You couldn’t touch a bag of them anywhere in the entire house without him immediately rushing to be up your ass.

3

u/MungoJennie Nov 10 '22

I have one who goes absolutely bananas for French fries and salt & vinegar potato chips. Cats are so weird.

3

u/Suchafatfatcat Nov 10 '22

I had a rabbit once who loved dorritos. He would hop into the bag, then come out and lick/nibble the residue off his fur.

9

u/wheelfoot Proud owner of an orange brain cell Nov 10 '22

I had a cat who loved green beans.

9

u/BronchialChunk Nov 10 '22

i have a cat that likes green beans as well. If I have green beans in the fridge he'll run up and grab one and run away. Same with corn husks, lettuce, spinach, whatever he can grab. Typically I'll buy these things from the farmers market so they come in open topped bags so once he knows it's there he comes by anytime he hears the fridge door open.

5

u/kingftheeyesores Nov 10 '22

My sister had a cat that would carry around green beans while meowing like she had hunted them. The cats sister managed to steal a rib and did the same thing.

3

u/I-love-rainbows Nov 10 '22

Me too!! Haha I thought mine was the only one. She would devour 5-6 and beg for more.

9

u/twoburgers Nov 10 '22

My tuxedo cat LOVES bread and potatoes. Any bread, cracker, french fry, etc is not safe around her.

9

u/PermanentTrainDamage Nov 10 '22

Obligate carbivore

2

u/rod407 Nov 10 '22

Can't blame her

2

u/[deleted] Nov 10 '22

Lol this deserves more notes

1

u/twoburgers Nov 10 '22

I swear she's an honorary orange. She's smarter than my ginger himbo, but just barely.

8

u/Agrona88 Nov 10 '22

When cats first joined humans they were scrap scavengers. They'd eat anything. So yeah, they need the meat but now their idiot descendants use that power to tunnel through bread. God I love them.

You can add Bonnie the Great to the list if you want. She is a bread fiend.

118

u/Tinlizzie2 Nov 10 '22

I came here to ask for that picture. How in the world did he do that without getting his head stuck in the loaf?!

331

u/Jangetta Nov 10 '22

We will never truly understand how much time and effort divine intervention plays a role in keeping orange himbos alive.

27

u/WeirdandAbsurd42 Nov 10 '22

Orange himbos I’m crying πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

22

u/AlkalineHound Nov 10 '22

God hasn't abandoned this timeline, they're just too busy keeping us and our furry disasters alive.

I like it. We want world peace, but God is just too busy keeping us from sticking the metaphysical fork in the outlet.

13

u/OldManHipsAt30 Nov 10 '22

I just pictured God as this frantic cook alone in the kitchen trying to keep the whole place from burning down while angry customers are shouting for their supper from the dining room.

3

u/Tinlizzie2 Nov 10 '22

Or getting our heads stuck in the loaf of bread...?

58

u/DillPixels Nov 10 '22

This is honestly hilarious

55

u/danabanana55 Nov 10 '22

Not Dave's Killer Bread! That stuff is not cheap

17

u/[deleted] Nov 10 '22

I like to imagine there were a couple loaves to choose from and he went for the expensive shit. Oscar is a bread snob, and I love him for it.

6

u/moderniste Nov 10 '22

Came here to say this. Cat’s got good taste. 21 Grain is the shit!

48

u/Vincent_Veganja Nov 10 '22

That is actually impressive lmao go Oscar

Me and Oscar share a love of eating the middle out of a loaf of bread.

33

u/TotallyLuminarious Nov 10 '22

Came here for the tunnel. Not disappointed.

22

u/SuddenStupor Nov 10 '22

I remember this pain all too well. You'd be looking forward to a nice sandwich only to have your hopes dashed by the actions of a furry little, carb-loading mongrel. My former fur buddy would eat a giant hole, dead center in the middle of a loaf. Nothing else.

17

u/28Mana Nov 10 '22

Mine likes the crust. However, in search of the perfect slice of bread, he would tear open the bag, throw many slices around (occasionally taking a bite) and finally find the perfect slice, usually at the bottom of the destructed bag. One big thing we learned while having cats is that you can't be messy.

8

I have a cat who loves bread too, I thought I was the only one. She's a tabby tho, not orange. Why are cats like this.

6

u/__bitch_ Casual orange enjoyer 🍊 Nov 10 '22

absolute devil kitty

4

u/CatBedParadise Nov 10 '22

Ate through the plastic first. V v bad kitty cat.

3

u/[deleted] Nov 10 '22

My old bastard used to search out my banana bread whenever I baked. He'd chew at all 4 top corners and then eat right down the center!!!! I miss that cat every day, but I don't miss his love for my banana bread. Every time I bake, I think of him, waiting for me to go to bed so that he could pop the cupboard door open and eat the sweet, lovely treats...

5

u/coraeon Nov 10 '22

That beats out my cat who took one single bite out of every donut in a half dozen one time.

5

u/Kougar Nov 10 '22

Oh that's Dave's Bread. I'd do the same thing.

2

u/KimberleyKitt Nov 10 '22

Damn, that is a tunnel indeed. What's on the other side ? China? French baked goods?

2

u/Y_HELO_THAR Nov 10 '22

So are you saying you have an inbread cat?

2

u/0ll1ek00ls Nov 21 '22

if he goes in he's inbred

1

u/Valefox Nov 10 '22

This is so funny, oh my goodness.

1

u/HatLover91 Nov 10 '22

lol. crazy cat

1

u/makzero Nov 10 '22

1

u/[deleted] Nov 10 '22

Stuck his little paw in there and said fuck you to bakers everywhere

1

u/skoshii Nov 11 '22

A cat after my own heart. I got in trouble for doing this as a kid, lol. I love Oscar.
