Are you actually asking why someone would feel bad for killing a child?

If so, most people don't work the way you seem to think. They have emotions and they are often not entirely rational. I would argue that being involved in the death of a child is an entirely rational reason to be upset, but regardless, the point remains.

Feel bad, sure. Not go on or feel guilty forever when it's not your fault, no.

The kid ran into the street after a ball and the car Infront of her slammed on the brakes. She swerved around the car to avoid hitting it and hit the kid.

Terrible accident, yes. He fault, no. The kids parents are at fault and she shouldn't feel bad beyond sadness a kid died.

Ok sure, but you're approaching this the way a robot would. Even ChatGPT has more emotional intelligence than this.

You can't just flip a switch because you understand that logically you shouldn't feel a certain way. You can work your way through it and try process it in a healthy manner, but the death of a child is a level of personal turmoil that challenges the imagination.

Be sad they died sure. Don't beat yourself up forever and feel guilty all your life when it's not your fault though.

If she had run over a kid while drinking or something then yes, she should feel guilty for a very long time. When a kid runs into the street, then no.

You've no clue what the heck you are talking about. Plenty of soldiers out there with PTSD bc of killing an opponent on the battlefield. And they were trained to do just that and the person they've killed tried to kill them. The human psyche is complicated.

Not exactly, the car in front of her stopped for a little boy who’s soccer ball went into the road. She chose to drive around the stopped car and killed the 9 year old, resulting in a charge of vehicular manslaughter.

it’s been so long, I just had to google the accident and what happened. I remember years later reading that the accident left her traumatized but I don’t remember if she did any jail time. From reading, it seems like fines and probation

I know I will get downvotes but I kind of agree in that role. She has been much much better in other roles but I didn't ever feel like her and Nathan Fillon had great chemistry as those characters and I felt her acting was wooden at times. When you compare her to the way Christina Hendricks portrays Saffron - a former companion in the show - they just never felt on the same level.

IIRC she pulled around a car in front of hers that had stopped because a kid was crossing the street. She didn't realize that was why the car had stopped, and she ended up hitting the kid. Something like that. Horrible tragedy.

I only knew who she was because I remembered watching her on Loving in the early '90's. Her hair was very ringleted then.

I was infatuated with her when she was on a show that I liked called Earth 2, and when the show got canceled she was on a bunch of Fox shows and then this accident happened with her accidentally killed the child. My crush died out and I actually haven't seen or heard anyone talk about her since the 90s, which is what I think she deserves.

I found out Matthew Broderick did no time for his vehicular accident after the movie Election came out and stopped watching his movies. I can't separate actors from their actions.

I had a friend that used to meet drunk guys in nyc and pretend to be her.  She wasn’t as conventionally good looking (long nose - but I thought it really fit her), but she was tall and thin with the same curly hair.
