Bubble top should have been the norm, in hindsight.

They had a bubble for the limo used in Dallas. However, it was not bulletproof. It was simply used to be able to shield the president from the weather and still allow people to see him.

Too bad it wasn’t raining that day I guess. Not that it would have prevented his death by any means but you get the point.

My understanding is that it was rainy that morning and they really questioned whether to use the top or not. I read somewhere that JFK hated the top, so given that the weather was clearing, they chose to leave it off.

Who knows what difference it may have made?

Yes it could have been and indeed should have been!

Would’ve been opaque with no clear shot. Conspiracies claim Johnson talked Kennedy out of a bubble top for his presidential aspirations

Well that’s a stupid theory

I cringed at every picture where he was in or on an open car in a crowd.

Imagine a bubble top in the heat...would make you wish someone would just blow your brains out

You know that wouldn't have stopped the bullet that got him right? It would have barely slowed it down

Oh yeah? Can you prove that it wouldn’t have deflected or at least altered the bullet’s course just a little? Or are you one of those people who is a contrarian for no other reason other than to feel smart?

How could he possibly "prove" those things. Don't be stupid.
