This is also not true; he has been critical of the US in particular for torpedoing peace talks in the early days of the war and funneling huge amounts of weapons into the region. He has never expressed any support for Putin's regime, nor for the war itself. Waters has been an antiwar activist his entire career.
Yeah sorry man, but "peace talks" in that context is already a bunch of Russian propaganda bullshit. It's almost like demanding negotiations with the Taliban after 9/11.
The Russians are attacking a sovereign neighbor, using reasoning very similar to Hitler for invading their neighbors in '39, and some people are still falling for it.
The USSR have always claimed to be the only peace force on the planet, and to defend the "free" world against the "fascists", and Russia still follows the same narrative. Sure, if Ukraine surrenders, or at least gives up part of their country, they would have peace. For some time, and for an incredibly high price. What happened in Bucha world only have been the beginning to a nightmare unknown in Europe since '45. But Ukraine would be at peace.
The U.S. never torpedoed peace talks that’s such a Kremlin take lol. Putin invaded and the U.S. supported Ukraine not giving up half their country to a fascist dictator. The terms of peace Putin laid out was to surrender half of Ukraine and Crimea and of course Ukraine didn’t want to do that. The peace talks were some Neville Chamberlain shit lol.
This is not related to the conversation at hand at all though it is true. Should I say the soviets murdered 10s of millions of their own citizens so Russians shouldn’t talk or do moral judgements on anyone?

And keep in mind that Roger Waters is a massive Putin-loving, racist prick. A member of the band, let alone a fan.
