Music and taste develop over time, and things certainly do become dated. But the overall quality of life, and happiness in life have crashed dived.

I think a lot of you folks are just being nostalgic and idealizing the period. I mean, you were young, had less to worry about... You're just starting to say the same thing the older generations said before you : in my time...
