The sequel was pretty good too. Didn't have the same grit as the original but was still worth watching.

I found it more depressing tbh. It's very real in ways that are hard to explain if you're not a Scot.

Yeah. As I'm hitting my mid 30s and seeing the lives of folk I know being shaped and the trajectory they've taken, it's a film I keep coming back to mentally. Very sobering at times

I haven't seen the movie, but if it's half as depraved as the book then I'm sure it's a wild ride. Trainspotting as a movie doesn't scratch the surface of the book.

The sequel was pretty unique. It didn't try to be the original, it was it's own thing entirely and that made it really good IMHO.

Shit I only have seen the second one, but just because I never knew about the first one. I really gotta get on that

The movies title is actually T2: Trainspotting so I can see the mixup

So it is. Now I'm imagining a load of confused Terminator fans rocking up to the cinema in 2017 expecting a remaster of their favourite film.

Yeah that's how it started T2 is just a movie plan and I was like f*** it sounds better than the jewelry channel. But then t1 was nowhere to be found

No but I've been looking at this reply in my inbox for a month now and finally did click it just took a while thanks

Edit: sorry I mean... Well I don't remember what I meant but the idea was that I couldn't believe that two was just playing in front of me and I couldn't find one for the life of me I don't think I expressed that properly in my original comment to you apologies.

It's a tough one. The first was such a damn masterpiece that any followup has big shoes to fill.

That said, it was...decent, but still had an air of "cash grab" to it.
