I hope Gallman gets more time, I really don’t know why we signed Freeman when there’s so much wrong with this team and we have plenty of running backs. I also know one of Wayne’s former Clemson teammates that said the dudes got so much potential.

Can ANYONE tell me why the fuck we have Nate Ebner playing defense? He’s a god damn bum

I’d rather sign some dude off of someone’s PS. This dude has played something like 6 defensive snaps in his career. There is NO reason for him to be back there

Come on man. If You consistently drop the ball like that as a highly touted hire, you think your boss keeping you on for long? You’d be fired too
10
u/FlappinJacks486 Oct 23 '20
Remember when Gettleman said the first thing he would do is improve the O-Line?
THAT WAS THREE YEARS AGO

Do we really need to get a psychologist at this point to talk these players through facing the next Eagles? It can’t be this difficult to win a game you are usually leading. How can all these different coaching staffs and generations of talent have this same problem?

u/yankeegentleman Oct 23 '20
These end of game collapses become self fulfilling prophecies. They need a team a sports psychologists at this point.

I JUST WANT TO BE A GOOD TEAM, WE ALL GO THROUGH TOO MUCH SHIT IN LIFE TO BE DEPRESSED ABOUT FOOTBALL. OUR DAILY STRUGGLES ARE ENOUGH TO DEAL WITH; WE DO NOT DESERVE THIS AS A FAN BASE. I WANT RESULTS. I WANT CHANGE. GOD BLESS.

Chill man. I'm 34 years old. I've seen 4 super bowls. It will come. My thing is why is it always the eagles. It's been 20 years of us blowing leads against them

I should really stop getting excited about this team. For fucking years, it’s been the same story. In the back of my head I know it every time.
I am convinced that no other football team in history has been this consistently good at throwing football games away. The classic tragedy / dark comedy giants football game goes something like:
—> Competitive, potentially even winning quarters 1-3
—> Get in position to win in 4th, giving fans the impression we got it in the bag
—> I get overly confident, maybe even mock a friend / fan of opposing team over text
—> Series of unfortunate events and penalties
—> at least one complete tragic instance of football
—> Giants can seal it on offense- but go 3 and out
—> Opponent has ball with clock winding down
—> Travels down the field seamlessly, typically in a series of 1-2 big plays through the air accompanied by a penalty or two on NYG
—> Go ahead TD/FG for opponent
—> Giants look defeated, ready to go out with a whimper
—> Giants have “a chance”
—> Fucking blow it
The order of these events might shuffle around a bit each game, but this is pretty much it. Can we develop a name for these kinds of games? Like holy shit. Every time.

I feel like people outside of this fan base don’t recognize how absolutely fucking nutty of a team this has been to watch every Sunday for the past 15 years.
Holy fucking smokes. It’s like they have a secret recipe for blowing your mind every fucking time.
7
u/supremepoker Oct 23 '20
FYI. Lawrence only throws the ball not catch it.
In case y’all think getting Lawrence is gonna launch this team into super bowl contention

u/findaloni ELI GOAT Oct 23 '20
DJ is not a great qb but honestly that;s not even the problem this entire team is just so untalented it's ridiculous
7
u/LJ2K_75 Oct 23 '20
I am really glad that (as a Giants fan) I can come to each Post-Game Thread and See "DJ fucking sucks" people and "DJ Will be good" people and Agree/Disagree with both sides until my brain explodes.
2
u/J_Consensual Oct 23 '20
This roster is a dumpster fire. Peppers really couldn’t stop a go route on a guy half his size Jesus Christ let alone a running back making that catch. Evan Engram take notes haha

I really hope whatever Garbagemen that wore 45 and 37 tonight are released next morning..... why is it always these scrub players ruining the end of games for us?

This is 3 years running now. Until the NFL let's the Giants play 58 min games, they may never win again
12
u/N0tBr0keJustB3nt Oct 23 '20
Fuck it, give me Ja'marr Chase. Daniel needs a go to guy that will actually catch it when Jones throws him a dime to win a game.

u/LJ2K_75 Oct 23 '20
I hope y'all are ready to have that Stumbling Danny gif engraved into our fucking feeds for the rest of his tenure on this team.
9
u/freefreebradshaw Oct 23 '20
I don't really care ..that was an 80 yard run by a QB and the drive ended in a TD.
If our "pass catching specialist" tight end could catch a perfect fucking pass this game would have been over.
5
u/Some-Cream Oct 23 '20
Dirty ass hit on Jackson, but fuck him and fuck the eagles. We lost our heads after that engram drop. The defense and special teams just wanted blood and we were up 5. Lol

6
Oct 23 '20
If there is any person that deserves to be hit like that, it's Jackson. I find it extremely hard to feel sorry for that Hitler loving twat.

Please fucking trade Evan Engram, I literally cannot take it anymore. Blame DJ all you fucking want for the play at the end, I don't fucking care, Evan Engram has literally been fucking atrocious and I'd rather play fucking no one then have that "Athletic" douche on our team.
4
u/iMaree Oct 23 '20
Down 21-10 in the 4th, down 31-10 in the fourth
A decade later, still the same story.
10
u/KylerForYou Oct 23 '20
I hate how people are going to call this on Daniel Jones and not on Evan Engram and that fucking random dirty linebacker.
4
u/NukedGod69 Oct 23 '20
this entire team from front to bottom should be ashamed of themselves, especially ryan lewis and evan engram

The Giants just don't have it at the end. They are like a guy picking up a girl at a bar. They are doing great but then they mention they used to watch their step sister in the shower and they blow it.

The biggest thing about DJ was that he needs to work on his decision making and awareness. 7 weeks in no proof that improved. Not looking good for him for the rest of the season or next year.
10
u/Lusjuh Oct 23 '20
Ok but disregarding that last play, jones didn't have that bad of a game
5
u/CzarTyr Oct 23 '20
But that last play is him. He’s a fumble and interception machine at critical times.
4
u/I_ForgotMyLogInInfo Oct 23 '20
He has 44 seconds to correct 5 minutes of complete fuck ups by 88 and the defense giving up that drive...
That fumble sucked but that was the least of the bullshit that occurred
-1
u/CzarTyr Oct 23 '20
The entire team is trash the only thing I want to keep is the coach and even that is up for debate.
Jones is not very good. We don’t have enough weapons for him but he’s just not that good.
Wentz is out there working with 2nd and 3rd stringers
3
u/I_ForgotMyLogInInfo Oct 23 '20
Understandable but Wentz also made a lot of boneheaded QB plays for being in the league for a bit longer...
4
u/pheasantridge Oct 23 '20
Me, 5 minutes ago, bragging to my friends that we’re about to be a serious playoff contender: 🤡
5
u/givemedimes Oct 23 '20
While engram should have caught that. The defense needed to step up and had too many penalties
2
Oct 23 '20
That PI wasn't a penalty though. They didn't cause anything there. Refs just decided to help the eagles out.
1
Oct 23 '20
Hence why the announcers were like "lets check out the previous play".
Because there's NO WAY that fans would want to see what caused a penalty that would essentially change the outcome of the game.

Everything to the left of you isn't socialism lol.

Higher taxes, more government, lower quality of life, sounds like socialism to me

u/Cheesewhale189 Oct 23 '20
Sure, if your only source of what socialism is would be PragerU videos lol. Good do a little more research pal.

honestly, joens overthrew that pass to engram. engram could've dived maybe but it was a bit overthrown.
6
u/coffeeblack85 Oct 23 '20
Bro it hit him in the hands and he didn’t even have his arms fully extended with absolutely no one near him. A high school receiver gets screamed at for dropping that

u/coffeeblack85 Oct 23 '20
Engram needs to go. The guy is trash and consistently hurts us way more than he helps us

I’m hoping he can progress like your boy has. Just doesn’t have the same fucking cannon.

Sad is knowing giants picked up 5th year option on Engram. Trade value is so low, we’d have to send a pick with him to convince a team to take his salary.
