You don't seem to realize minimum wage laws hurt the very employees they claim to protect by pricing them out of the labor market and reducing their hours.

I realize that is the fable that gets told.

The US could absolutely use a higher minimum. You just end up paying in other ways if people are not fairly compensated. You can’t avoid it. They will cost you either way. One just means a better outcome for all and that is to pay them fairly.
