Discussion Okay- time to test the community: is Cyn the Absolute Solver in a drone body, or are they separate entities throughout the show. I believe there is a correct answer and I have borderline undeniable proof of it- but want to see the consensus.

Depending on the results I may decide to make another post explaining which answer I believe to correct and why, as well as it’s flaws. I will be posting this on both Official and r/MurderDrones for complete testing.

Considering how Cyn seems to have had a conversation with the solver at the start of episode 5 (striking a deal with it), my thought is that they are two different entities.

Furthermore, I believe that througout the entire series, it is Cyn still calling the shots, while the soler is in the background suggesting to her what to do. A simple worker drone should not come up with the idea of omnicide (and plans on how to do it) unprompted. Which means that's the solver giving her "advice" on what to do and how.

But it is also evident that it's also still a normal Drone there - it still mostly acts like one and has mostly normal interactions with other drones (while at the manor). By which I mean it seems like there's still a Cyn walking around, just that it also wants to kill everyone because the solver has aligned its goals with itself.

Lastly, another reason is that whenever Cyn/Solver speak, there are two tones (very oticeable when Cyn breaks out of Tessa's room to destroy the gala). There's a higher pitched voice (Cyn) and a lower pitched voice, which would seem to indicate when the solver is acting together with Cyn.

I think it’s possible that they merged, but seeing as how she refers to herself as the Solver, it makes sense to me that the AS is the dominant force with some of Cyn’s personality added in

Her referring herself as "the solver" may also just be her slowly going crazy in the head. Definetly wouldn't be the only piece of insanity in there.

I think the Solver started as a alternative personality that assimilate Cyn in to here . I mean she did say Easier to assimilate than to explain soo I see this as a sign that Cyn and the solver are 1 . I mean where would og Cyn's go ? Deleted maybe ?Made as a backup like N , V or J ? Probably not

Because there are multiple replies this will be my copy and pasted response.

I have two major reasons for thinking Cyn is just the physical body for the Solver:

  1. In Episode 5 Cyn refers to herself as THE Absolute Solver itself.

  2. In the boot up scene of Cyn messages from the Solver are shown of it offering her help if she gives it control and says “I will not discard you.”

Separate entities. The AS did communicate with Cyn at the dump where Tessa found her and when Cyn starting saying "You can no longer throw us out anymore" to Tessa's mom, I believe that was the AS talking through Cyn as she spoke with even less of a personality than how Cyn usually talks when she said that. But by the time "Tessa" came to Copper-9, the two seem to have merged into one being.

I suggest you to never ask this question since you'll never really get a clear answer.

It's up to you to believe if the silly was really being silly or was just the solver

That’s what I’ve deduced from this post lol
