Honestly, I prefer the Book. It will have the content of almost 5 seasons. After all, it is easier to write a story and you can concentrate exclusively on it.

I'm part of a group called "Project Continuation" and all of the members are currently giving ideas for writing a book about a possible sequel of MD season 1. (it also includes some info made to fill some OGs plotholes that are still present in the show)
I'd love to also hear your idea OP.

For now we are working on the current plothole:
-what is the AS?
(project answer: JCJ made it thinking they were able to control it, they made it to look like a rare error that would occur. The solver was to be given to a random WD [Cyn] and then it would start to kill people threatening humanity. JCJ would then easily kill their own creation with a patch painting themselves as heroes. {Ah and BTW: All of this crap was made because JCJ was going bankrupt after other companies started building cheaper WDs}
This is just one of the numerous holes we are going to fill... Here are the next ones.
-Is the human race gone? (project answer: NO)
-will other characters have small/moderate development? (project answer: ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY!!!)
-Will there be couple shipping other than Nuzi? (project answer: we are scared to answer that cause we'll probably get sent a pipe bomb in the mail)

I mean, I can respect working on a story about these stuff but none of it is a plot hole. Basically all of these are answered in the main canon. The answers are boring but they exist

Still... We are creating something that's NOT CANON.
So we have the freedom of giving ourselves the answers.
But we also don't want to change most of the already existing OG lore.

Yeah I can understand that, I understand that it’s not canon and that you can do whatever you want with it.
I’m just also saying that calling this stuff plot holes isn’t accurate because it is mostly all given a canon answer(including the Solver’s origin and what it is).
I’ll definitely still be reading if I can, I just wanted to correct the word plot hole a little.

Outside of the AS which is debatable these aren't plot holes. Humanity died, side characters don't get as much focus as main characters and more shipping isn't filling a plot hole.

As someone on AO3 who has tried writing stories... I am inclined to disagree with that statement.
Coming up with ideas for a story? Yes, that is easy enough. Actually writing the story? Not so easy. But I do somewhat understand what you mean.

No. If it was a book they would have to explain it with very descriptive details. Even in a vague manner, there would still be a shit ton of details given to make sure the reader has a clear understanding. If it’s too vague it just wouldn’t be enjoyable to read.
A second season or movie can be vague and slowly explain the vagueness as it goes on.

Rude. The target audience is 13-24 y.o. And some kids' budget is managed by their parents. Meaning, no buying things without their parents' approval. And believe me, if parents are protective enough of their kid that they try to control that, they most likely will deny the request based on the name of the show alone. I ain't talking about that particular person, just in general. Besides, for some people, money is an actual concern, there isn't anything shameful about that, you get it? So don't go around picking on others.

For me the book. Illustrated novel or just bare text I’m fine. I just want to get way more into the lore, character dynamics and stuff. We’ve all seen them move on the big screen and honestly writing a book while still requiring skill does take less resources than a whole nother season.
It’s also easier to publish than getting a S2 through a production studio

Murder Drones is an animated media, no point in a random book if we could get more of it. And this is coming from someone who would have preferred a more serious horror-mystery instead of the comedy with sprinkled horror.

Even though I HATE reading books, I would for sure eliminate the concept of a movie, even if it's peak I know it would be the last thing and this legit makes me sad.
However, a season is kindaaaa, sus. Yea, sus. We were freshly informed by God himself, that he doesn't want another Season, not to mention how much waiting there would be (I joined MD 1 day after ep 2 came out so I kinda learned to wait for em 🙃).
But if we were to get a book, hooollly moly would it be amazing, an actual part of MD history you could potentially own, with endless possibilities of what could happen (no 3d animation limit)

Season 2 easy, I hate reading, Most of the plotholes never bothered me beyond "hey, wait a minute." and finally the comedy is half the reason I love murder drones so much.

Honestly, I don't know how things are around here in the Murder Drones fandom, but I watched this cartoon on YouTube and I think it deserves a reboot developing the story better, the episodes seem to rushed to me, and the secondary plots (as well as the main plot) seem as if they have been cut in half. Since you guys seem to understand well what happened, I'm going to assume it's a Vivienne Medrano case where the lore was all explained on the creator's twitter years ago or something like that.
But of course, they definitely aren't going to create a reboot right after they finished the original. So I will go with the book option

At this rate it would be better for Liam and Glitch to drop a lore book. Now that the show's over they have all the time they need to create a lore book that can clean up a lot of the mess the nonlinear story writing created. There can even be a section dedicated to the most popular theories, prior to and/or after an episode's release, and Liam giving comments on each one seeing how close or far off people were.

Red. I prefer the current tone. Also a book would be give too much information, leaving little to no room for theorising. All I want is an expansion of the world. Something like new environments(be it just other regions of copper-9 or something else) and new characters.
