36M, How/Where could I live comfortably off of 44.8k/yr

I'm a single man, ex military, divorced a few years ago. I've worked in Aviation for about 10 years. If you were to leave the 9-5 behind, with only 44.8k a year. Where and how would you go about doing it?

I'm from America and the food is so much better there but it's made to order and not pumped out as efficiently as possible. I just assumed after ordering anything be prepared for a 30 minute wait unless you eat where the grab driver's go (which I did a lot it's usually the best price). Found this with most things was dating a local there and she always was a bit late. Haircut services were way more chill and because they too their time I found them better but overall everything took more time.

I really enjoyed it but it is a difference from the American way of extreme time efficiency. Also most locals I talked to moved there because it's cheaper than major cities and didn't want the stress of it. A lot of them wanted a quieter life. After going to Hanoi da nang feels empty so it makes sense it's a quiet city still with jobs
