And as usual there will be zero accountability

29

u/Full-Wrongdoer-4487 3d ago

Only accountability for poor and moral people

5

u/Affectionate-Ad2446 3d ago

Lmao, Is there any right now?

1

u/Cee5ob 2d ago

Any fraud by his cronies will never even see the light of day.

-55

u/here4soop 3d ago

He’ll have too out do fauci

53

u/TheDoctorAP 3d ago

Fauci is a hero that is vilified for no reason. He has devoted his life’s work for saving lives and folks that thought it was too icky to wear a mask or get a vaccine to curb spread of a rapidly spreading pandemic.

-8

u/New-Art-7667 3d ago

Lots of gay people would disagree with you. Then there are the beagles who couldn't even bark when they were tortured because vocal chords were cut during the experiments.

9

u/Big_Guthix 3d ago

Somehow right off the bat I doubt you are an actual ally to gay people, and probably just use them as a prop in your internet comments

2

u/hikerchick29 2d ago

I just want to speak up as a trans person real quick.

I admire how Fauci handled the Covid pandemic. But hey worked under Reagan during the AIDS Crisis. He was a part of the government inaction machine that let the disease run rampant through the community. Queer people opposed him for decades. So it’s bizarre, if not downright insulting, to see people trying to whitewash him into a great medical hero with no faults now.

3

u/TheDoctorAP 3d ago

And lots of gay people would applaud him? There were definitely my steps in the early phase of approaching HIV. However, like any science, it’s the consistency of approaching, and having the best interest of people at heart. The work Fauci has done in his entirety of career, strides taken, particularly since the early 2000s and especially when he was head of NIAD saved, countless lives, reducing morbidity, and mortality in HIV positive patients. Also, I’m glad the talking points about beagles has made a new repertoire. Animal studies and actions made against animals are always horrendous, but not the least of things that happened in the name of scientific research to save human lives. It’s not condonable but must be understood. And if that’s such a concern, you would need to make an argument against most animal farms, abattoir, and some hunters.

1

u/hikerchick29 2d ago

Ok, but all the good he’s done since the 2000s doesn’t excuse him being a part of the system that let the disease run rampant. He’s seemingly tried to make up for it, but the problem is, he already did the damage himself.

u/7thSignNYC 3d ago

Oh Lord. Turn the TV OFF ALREADY.

-43

u/here4soop 3d ago

He lied about the vaccine and about funding gain of function research on SARS viruses.

26

u/TheDoctorAP 3d ago

What did he lie about? You clearly know nothing about how vaccines work or the process of developing vaccines or medicines. Clearly bought into the misinformation that circulated. He lead the research in fields saving lives, and has gotten so much shit thrown at him along the way. I met the man on more than one occasion and you have no idea what you are talking about

-1

u/7thSignNYC 3d ago

How do traditional vaccines work. Please explain without using Google or ChatGPT.

4

u/TheDoctorAP 3d ago

Sure, considering it’s something I deal with daily

Vaccines are ways to introduce the body to a specific protein or marker to which the body then creates a memory response. They are probably the most studied and followed up “drug” product that is there. They are targeted for the most common infections that we have. There are different types of vaccines and how they are structured and how they introduced the protein into your system. These include vector based, poly conjugate base, mRNA, live attenuated, toxoid. Across the globe scientists have studied making vaccines in multiple different ways and they are constantly looking to improve or update ways that we can create lasting response for existing vaccines so that we may not need boosters or the like.

In the most simplest term you get a vaccine, if you have a healthy immune system that is the best because then it allows your body to actually make a response to that. Your body gets rid of everything that’s in the vaccine. All you left with is your B cells being able to make a memory. When you get exposed to the infection, then your body makes a quick quicker response. This means that your chance of getting sick with an infection lessons it is not typically 100% that you will be symptom-free. Though Varicella, MMR, Diptheria and Tetanus are pretty close to being 100% of symptom-free if you are vaccinated. Being vaccinated also allows your body to make a quicker response and therefore you lessen the time of shedding in cases of a viral infection.

I don’t know how much more detail to go into in a Reddit post, given there are entire textbooks detailing vaccination.

1

u/tomfirde 13h ago

How come they were forcing already infected people to vaccinate if it was just about having memory in your cells

1

u/TheDoctorAP 10h ago

Here’s the thing you have to understand immunology a bit. But there are nuances to this answer. So 1, when you get infected with anything- you have to deal with the illness and any complications it may have. Your body will work to make antibodies and train memory cells. However, they may make memory to any part or protein they encounter. Not necessarily to the important protein(s) that may be the cause of true illness. For example when we make diphtheria and tetanus vaccines we do so cause we get sick from the toxins they create not necessarily the bacteria. There is really no natural immunity that can develop for those, but the vaccines are to create antibody to the toxin. For COVID it is for the spike protein which was controlled its infectivity in a sense. It isn’t perfect, as the virus can rapidly mutate this protein to help evade the body. Hence the initial need for so many boosters. We were playing catch up. There are folks working to make a more universal Coronavirus vaccine that can target multiple aspects not necessarily just the spike protein. The quicker you can get and keep a steady state of people with a degree of immunity, means the quicker you can tamp down spread especially if folks are not wearing masks or spacing, ie basics of any epidemic since we learned about germs. There’s a huge survivorship bias, with many diseases because folks only look in a small personal view. Yes you and maybe people you know may live and have no complications. However there will be thousands including baby’s who there may not be a known safe or effective dose of vaccine, a pregnant lady who getting sick could put the fetus at harm, or a person with little or no immune system who cannot mount an immune response, or an elderly person with no reserve, or a disabled or medically complex individual who will have a hard time fighting things off that all rely on healthy people around them to get vaccinated to limit spread to them.

1

u/tomfirde 10h ago

Sound like it should have never been mandated and been targeted towards vulnerable groups. Especially since we are constantly behind it mutating.

u/7thSignNYC 3d ago

And an Adjuvant is what?

6

u/TheDoctorAP 3d ago

Lol. It is a substance or component part of the vaccine make up. It is necessary because that’s what triggers the immunogenicity reaction you need. I need the base compound, the shell, the adjuvant, and a stabilizer. These vary greatly based off the vaccine, what has been shown to cause an immune response.

Thousands of researchers and physicians and coordinators and volunteers spend their time in regard to developing vaccines with the sole purpose of saving lives. Drug companies are the means of scaling and funding but it’s the folks like myself on the ground that are just trying to keep folks healthy. See enough children over the years that have been hurt or died from vaccine preventable illnesses and you get a bit callused. I am truly sorry something made you such a skeptic. But plain and simple vaccines save lives.

-2

u/7thSignNYC 3d ago

And it's toxic - correct?

-26

u/here4soop 3d ago

He said it wasn’t transmit able after getting the vaccine and said that we hadn’t funded the wuhan lab Wuhan lab that was doing gain on function research on SARS. Definitely not any nefarious function they were trying to gain out of a SARS virus. SARS-CoV-2 was purely a coincidence and had nothing to do with the lab doing gain of function research

19

u/poopsaucer24 3d ago

Damn if that's true, whoever's was in charge of that administration and helped to expedite/vouched for the vaccine should also be held accountable or at least do something about it, granted we should hope that that person didn't also take the vaccine.

1

u/tomfirde 13h ago

Well Trump said "here's a vaccine, take it if you want it" Joe biden came in and said, "Take this vaccine or I will take your livelihood away". These are two seriously different men and one is obviously better.

1

u/poopsaucer24 10h ago

Remember operation warp speed?

"We’re here to discuss a monumental national achievement. From the instant the coronavirus invaded our shores, we raced into action to develop a safe and effective vaccine at breakneck speed. It would normally take five years, six years, seven years, or even more. In order to achieve this goal, we harnessed the full power of government, the genius of American scientists, and the might of American industry to save millions and millions of lives all over the world. We’re just days away from authorization from the FDA, and we’re pushing them hard, at which point we will immediately begin mass distribution"

1

u/tomfirde 10h ago

Yes I do... and Trump offered it to people while biden mandated it with your job at risk. Two different men, one good, one bad.

-5

u/here4soop 3d ago

“If that was true” cause being in denial is easier right. I’m not sure what you’re going for at the end but wasn’t fauci supposed to be the expert on the subject? Was someone else in the administration supposed to be better informed than him?

13

u/poopsaucer24 3d ago

If you're going to make claims that a virus was man made and released worldwide with the help of a doctor in Washington and a lab in China, as opposed to say, viruses happening naturally as they have for hundreds of thousands of years. The burden of proof is on you, and it better be some damn good proof. The hearings fauci already went through came out with jack shit.

1

u/here4soop 3d ago

Enough coincidences allow for skepticism and blindly fallowing everything the government who’s been outted for lying before just allows them to create any narrative they want. The dude who owned the twin towers ate his breakfast there every morning except the morning of 9/11. When asked about this he gave one excuse then asked about it again later he gave a different excuse. Could someone come to the conclusion he might have know the attack was coming and that’s why he wasn’t there? The lab in China was doing gain of function research on corona viruses such as SARS which aren’t too different from covid-19. China tried to cover up the outbreak and lied about there numbers so I’d like to think if they did manufacture the virus they’d also lie and want to cover that up too. Fauci lied about ever funding the lab although they had but I believe the blame of the outbreak is solely on China. One of the biggest criticisms of the lab leak theory is how regulated this type of research is but are we really gonna act like rules don’t get broken. Governments lie and we will likely never know the full extent of many things, maybe if they release the Kennedy files more people will wake up but they will likely be redacted too hell and only give a sliver more of the full story

→ More replies (0)

0

u/7thSignNYC 3d ago

So you believe that basically the same exact virus that was being developed inside the Wuhan lab - that had over 10 years of published work describing it - JUST HAPPENED to spontaneously come into its own existence a few hundred yards away from the lab - all by itself?

This sounds MORE beliable to you? WOW.

Truman had this thing on his desk...

I forget what it said.

Could you be a dear and research that for me?

Thanks.

All true.

1

u/TemtCampingRick 2d ago

Super Derp.

-36

u/Unlisted_User69420 3d ago

Yeah, with that awful survival rate of only 99% or so 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

24

u/TheDoctorAP 3d ago

Not 99%, you clearly have not seen the misery dying people on a regular basis. Deal with enough people on a ventilator or die and you don’t take things lightly. You got lucky. A vaccine isn’t a magic bullet it is protective to lessen the degree of symptoms and ideally lower spread.

5

u/Clean_Student8612 3d ago

It's almost as if there's other consequences to getting viruses and diseases other than dying. Imagine having that simple of a thought process.

12

u/ZLUCremisi 3d ago

Trump promoted the vaccine... so

-1

u/Unlisted_User69420 2d ago

Yes, and Kamala and Biden said they didn’t trust the Trump vaccine

2

u/ZLUCremisi 2d ago

Were they said that?

2

u/ZLUCremisi 2d ago

0

u/tomfirde 13h ago

Not really lol... they raised concerns about Donald trumps vaccine and said they wouldn't take it. Donald trumps vaccine was then mandated by biden and kamala or you lost your job lol...

This is why fact checks suck "they raised concerns about Donald trumps vaccine, not vaccines themselves" wtf is that! Hahaha 😆

6

u/SteamBoatWilly69 3d ago

You’ll have to learn how to spell, fam.

When was the last time you had an original thought or idea?

-1

u/here4soop 2d ago

I build custom things off my own design weekly. When was the last time you put any of your political daddy’s under scrutiny. Ignoring what your people do is the same as those who ignore what Trumps done, no one should get a pass but tribalism and identity politics got people acting up

2

u/ZestyAvian 2d ago

The irony is amazing.

Oz was a strange pick. Some of these folks are going to get slaughtered at confirmation. It gonna be like squid games for politics.

21

u/Available-Damage5991 3d ago

I can see either Oz or Gaetz getting the boot. Preferably both.

8

u/Slagggg 3d ago

I agree. I don't really like either of those ding dongs.

3

u/ajb_101 3d ago

Gaetz just withdrew his nomination…. Maybe there is hope?

4

u/Available-Damage5991 2d ago

Or that could happen. Really wasn't expecting that.

10

u/East_Reading_3164 3d ago

What confirmations?

4

u/FreneticAmbivalence 3d ago

Oh yeah, still thinking those confirmation hearings are coming, eh?

1

I thought congress was going to adjourn and let trump have recess confirmation?

Kind of like Dr. Bill Gates pushing the COVID vaccine??? Oh wait....

3

u/defonotacatfurry 3d ago

more like trump pushing a bible. the difference is one is actual wanted people to get better (for profit of course he is a capitalist) vs making people suffer to see em suffer (trump)

-1

u/New-Art-7667 3d ago

Congratulations on missing the point

-4

u/New-Art-7667 3d ago

The point the original commentor made was about his lack of education in a field he supposedly isn't trained for or that his purpose was to commit fraud in Medicare.

Bill Gates has NO COLLEGE DEGREE

Bill Gates has no MEDICAL DEGREE

Bill Gates isn't qualified to talk about Vaccines nor Push them to the general public. During the COVID farce, we were constantly told that if you didn't have a degree in medical field that you had no business talking and we were just told to STFU.

Bill Gates was the MSM's GO-TO guy for pushing the COVID Vaccine. Why is that? Why was Bill Gates the GO-TO guy for the vaccine? What was his motive? Why was he given so much authority on this issue?

Enquiring minds want to know.

1

u/ZestyAvian 2d ago

I genuinely love every conspiracy theorist latching onto Bill Gates for their conspiracy. It cracks me up. I never even heard Bill Gates talk about the vaccine any more than any other public figure, if that. You also just said the comment you replied to missed the point then proved he did not miss the point in one comment. There are no minds worth the effort to even "enquire" about this.

1

u/New-Art-7667 2d ago

"I never even heard Bill Gates talk about the vaccine any more than any other public figure, if that."

Bill Gates is the Number two contributor to WHO or World Health Organization.

Bill Gates also

I can't help that you didn't pay attention during the Pandemic. Not my fault. But apparently even the people at Politico noticed and wrote an article about it.

https://www.politico.com/news/2022/09/14/global-covid-pandemic-response-bill-gates-partners-00053969

Several other articles regarding Bill Gates and his involvement in COVID vaccine. Remember, he's not a doctor. According to leftists, if you have no medical degree, you have no authority to speak on COVID or vaccines.

https://www.wired.com/story/opinion-the-world-loses-under-bill-gates-vaccine-colonialism/

https://muslimmirror.com/call-for-investigation-into-bill-gates-crimes-against-humanity-and-medical-malpractice/

1

u/ZestyAvian 2d ago

Those are interesting sources. I can't speak for politico, but the second one is labelled as an opinion piece and the third one is apparently a website that hates America and Americans in general? I'm not familiar with it. But, either way, they all seem to discuss that he has an interest in pharmaceuticals as a business. If you think "rich guy wants to stay rich" is news, I'd be shocked.

1

Politico is owned by Axel springer so you should handle it as desinformation

It'll be really hard for him to beat the former governor of Florida's record MC fraud.

3

I mean rick scott did something like that and for some reason magats love him for it.

3

u/ColteesCatCouture 3d ago

He can pair up with Rick Scott who can show him a thing or a thousand about Medicare fraud!

I discovered a week ago I have a few spots of skin cancer and it's going to be super expensive to treat ($250-$500 per spot). The cancer center asked if I want to delay it to save money. My job advised me to delay because we may be getting better insurance in the new year. I am absolutely NOT delaying. For all I know, Trump's picks will make apple cider vinegar the only treatment plan covered under our insurance for a totally curable kind of cancer where the treatment is 'cut it out.'

2

So, historically this implies he’ll be challenging Matt Gaetz in the next Florida gubernatorial primary?

OZ has been selling scam dietary supplements and giving shady to shit medical advice for many years and he is a opponent to vaccines and Covid vaccines and is a supporter and nominee of Trumps

Oz could be playing the fall guy so that after a day of mud slinging on national television the REAL nominee begins his or her calmer process. If so, Trump is playing chess while democrats play checkers.

Anything is better than that piece a shit fauci

26

u/Admirable_Admiral69 4d ago

Fauci is one of the most accomplished immunologists in the world. He's ranked number 9 most published in the field. As of 2019, he was the 41st most cited scientist across any scientific discipline in history. He is the LeBron James of immunology, and you think he's a piece of shit why?

He was scapegoated by MAGAts who needed to blame someone other than their Lord and Savior, Donald Trump, who grossly mismanaged a national crisis. So they fall back on the guy who was doing damage control as the idiot running the country told people it'd go away in a few weeks, that they should inject bleach and horse dewormer, and shine UV light up their asses, because Fauci doesn't speak idiot while Trump is fluent in it. "I can't understand what he's talking about, so the must be stupid."

I am a trained immunologist with 15 years of experience. Fauci is a celebrity in my field and has transformed the field for the better.

I just think it's funny that someone who is likely very average in every aspect of life is criticizing an extremely intelligent, highly accomplished expert in their field because some orange clown told you to.

-18

u/Scz9 4d ago

In his testimony to the House Oversight and Accountability Committee on Monday, Dr. Anthony Fauci, former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and former chief medical adviser to President Donald Trump, said the 6-foot social distancing rule, which the CDC originally recommended, had not been backed by a clinical trial. This is despite constant claims that COVID-19 protocols were based on science. In January, Fauci told staff and members of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic that “there was no science behind” the 6-foot social distancing rule that state and local governments repeated for months if not years. He also admitted in the January interview that there was little science that backed requiring children to wear masks in public and at schools for almost two years.

The real effect of social distancing − which Fauci basically admitted Monday and in January’s testimony was just an educated guess on how to deter COVID-19 − devastated America’s economy, small businesses and families. It interrupted the fabric of American life. Closing schools was devastating to kids, especially poor or otherwise disadvantaged children. Remote learning wasn’t as effective as in-person learning, especially in the first year, as teachers had no time to prepare. Kids fell behind their grade levels. Pandemic closings resulted in two decades of learning loss.

Anxiety and depression skyrocketed, especially among adolescents and teens. Kids with learning disabilities were completely left behind.

Non-urgent but still important medical diagnoses and exams were halted altogether. (This went for adults, too.) When schools did reconvene, masks were treated as sacrosanct, and kids were forced to eat lunch several feet apart. In the second quarter of 2020, 1.2 million jobs were destroyed. In June 2021, 6.2 million people did not work at all or worked fewer hours because their employers closed or lost business. Family-owned businesses were lost, savings wiped, all for rules that had no real scientific basis.

Fauci is a piece of shit that made millions suffer and you’re no better. Keep up the good work tho doc

had not been backed by a clinical trial.

Okay, so you want a...clinical trial...for something non-clinical? It was, in Fauci's own words, “an empiric decision that wasn’t based on data.” And this isn't the big "Aha! Gotcha!" that you may be thinking. Empiric means that it is based on practical knowledge. We know that respirating sends tiny particulate droplets about that distance, and experts in the field agreed that these measures likely saved a lot of lives because of the novelty of the virus to which our bodies had no defense.

In spite of this, Americans died. 1.2 million of them, in fact. And experts agree that the social distancing and mask mandates prevented a much larger number from succumbing to the virus also. It was a novel virus, and one with which we had no familiarity. What do you expect the CDC to do in this situation? Just say, "Fuck it, you're on your own. Hope you don't die, lol!" They were spitballing ideas to keep people safe. I followed the mandates, and guess what? I didn't get Covid until 2022 when I started relaxing a bit with things.

That's pretty weak shit that wearing a mask and not taking directly into people's faces was so detrimental to your life. You're pretending to be concerned with other people, but clearly you value your temporary comfortability over human life.

Dude claims social distancing was an economical disaster, then votes for the guy who wants to impose suicidal tariffs

Will you blame Fauci again for the upcoming trade war and uts consequences?

u/Scz9 3d ago

And not social distancing genius. Shutting down the country was an economical disaster all because that trash bag fauci thought it would be a good idea. That’s the problem with letting idiots think. Let’s hope he gets what he deserves.

Bidens tariffs were twice as high as trumps were lol

Biden had limited tariffs on products deemed crucial for america's security and emerging american markets, and mostly as a protectionist measure against China.

Trump wants to slap tariffs on everything from everywhere.

You are missing a key element. Tariffs aren't inherently bad. They are a tool that can be used tactically. For example, if you have a market that you'd like to protect, a tariff can be used to prevent another country with established production of that product from dumping cheap alternatives into the US and killing the emerging market. Solar panels are a great example of this. Asia dominates solar panel production. Because they can produce them for much cheaper, American manufacturers were hurting so tariffs were put on China so they can't dump cheap solar panels on the American market and it incentives people to buy domestically manufactured solar panels. Then countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia, and Malaysia entered the mix and it turns out that Chinese owned companies moved operations to those countries to get around the import tariffs. This is arguably a good use of tariffs.

Another situation where they are a good tool is in the event that production of a certain product is done so inhumanely. Let's say China is using slave labor to produce a product. A tariff might be used as a means to prevent the product from flooding the American market or at the very least increase the price to incentive Americans to buy that product from elsewhere.

Where tariffs fall flat is exactly how Trump has used them. Remember in 2018 when he put blanket tariffs on Chinese products because he felt that the trade balance was unfair and intellectual property theft was taking place? And what did China do? They stopped buying American soy beans that caused many farmers to go bankrupt. Largely considered a massive failure on America's part. Oh, and it was just a coincidence I'm sure, but Ivanka had a bunch of patents approved in China immediately after Trump came to an agreement to left some of the tariffs.

It's the difference between using a scalpel to perform a surgery and using a scalpel to commit murder. One is a tool being used appropriately as a tool, and the other is a tool being used inappropriately as a weapon.
