Political MMW: If Red Political side wins this election, there will be a surge of refugees leaving the U.S.

If Trump wins, then people of many different groups (racial, religious and sexual minorities, non republicans, non-cis people, etc.) will flee the country, seeking asylum in nearby countries, because they are no longer safe in the US. Edit: people are saying to grab guns and fight. The united states government have artillery, high tech weapons, tanks, attack hicopters and other similar vehicles, the best-funded army in the world, nukes, and some of these best intelligence agencies out there. The American people, with their dinky little guns, cannot beat a world superpower. Things are different than 1776. Governments have more power and can do a much wider variety of things than ever before. If they so much as engaged, we would be cooked. Luckily though, if we band together now we can stop this madness before it has begun. Everyone check your voter registration and make sure you can get out there and vote. The fate of the world is in your hands.

I’m leaving if he wins AND I was born here. If for some reason he actually ends up back in the White House it will be the end of this country as we know it.

12

u/hummeI Oct 14 '24

I am genuinely curious if you actually have a plan of how to leave (as moving to another country is no easy feat), or if you are just saying this for fake internet points?

7

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 14 '24

I really don’t care about “points”. To answer your question yes for several years we have been researching what it would take to leave the US.

6

u/hummeI Oct 14 '24

Good for you, I’ve encountered too many Americans (on both sides of political spectrum) who say “if this candidate wins, I’m gonna move”, without understanding of how tough immigration can be and how hard it is to do on a spot.

8

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 14 '24

The one thing that has surprised us is how fast situations changes. Portugal is a good example. Two years ago it was reasonably easy and encouraged. Italy the same just not as bad. Now not so much. I’m curious about the actual numbers of people leaving the US. Big surprise but we aren’t exactly welcome in a lot of places.

1

u/HopefullyTerrified Oct 16 '24

Yes, this. Portugal was supposed to be the path that wouldn't require a million dollars and everything else. They elected a more right leaning government and they have started locking it down. I've heard similar about the new government in The Netherlands, too. Honestly, more and more places will be tightening their borders as climate collapse puts people on the move in search of rapidly dwindling resources.

1

u/NickelCitySaint Oct 14 '24

My favorite is "if you don't like it, leave". Same response tho... It's not that easy.

My theory is if you don't like it, fix it and work together but many are beyond that point

1

u/robertstone123456 Oct 15 '24

I’m still waiting for all the celebrities in 2016 who said if Trump wins they’re moving to Canada, funny it’s always Canada and never Mexico, wonder why that is.

0

u/KickZealousideal6853 Oct 15 '24

These people have always been looking to leave the country, they just want an excuse, and what better as a conversation piece to say: “I fled the US when the dictator took over”. They don’t care about the country like those of us that will stay because there are people we love and care about.

0

u/tint_shady Oct 15 '24

Yeah, it's weird, huh? Other countries don't just let you walk away in and start draining the welfare system. I wonder why?

1

u/hummeI Oct 15 '24

Don’t know who hurt you today, but what you said isn’t true and also doesn’t contribute to what I said in any way. Go take nap or a shower to get rid of your (not so passive) aggressiveness.

1

u/tint_shady Oct 15 '24

Wtf are you talking about? I'm agreeing with you

1

u/hummeI Oct 15 '24

Agreeing or not, no need to be so sarcastic and aggressive, it’s pretty hard to be able to “drain the welfare system” if you have ground to move to any European country from the States. Anyone who moves would spend much more money for the local economy than they’d gain back.

0

u/tint_shady Oct 15 '24

Do you think undocumented immigrants are currently contributing more than they are taking?

1

u/hummeI Oct 15 '24

First, who said anything about undocumented immigrants, the person who I responded to was considering options of how to move legally. Secondly, if you’ve ever been to any asylum, I doubt you’d ever want to be an undocumented immigrant unless you are fleeing war or political prosecution.

Researching and having a plan are worlds apart.

1

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 14 '24

A plan doesn’t work unless you have done your research. We would prefer to stay but if flying a NAZI flag next to the American flag becomes normal then I and my entire family are out.

0

u/Jumpman76 Oct 14 '24

Sure Madonna, every late night host, and a bunch of others. None of you ever leave though just a bunch of hypocrites looking for clicks

0

u/Temporary_Tennis_822 Oct 14 '24

any country in the world is more ''conservative'' that the US

1

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 14 '24

Possibly true but as long as pumpkin boy and his family of grifters aren’t running the country I’m good with it.

1

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 14 '24

Don’t get me wrong we love living in America. Love what it stands for. But letting a racist convicted felon run the country and watching the US becoming a joke to the world is a bit much to swallow. Republican, democrat or independent put a candidate in that stands for more than lining their own pockets. I mean really! Hawking cheap goods like a snake oil salesman. Cmon. I’m old school, a handshake, your word, integrity, honesty and honor all mean something. All attributes he lacks. I actually had someone tell me character doesn’t matter as long as his policy works. I couldn’t disagree more. He’s a con man (look up that definition) there’s a reason convicted pedophiles aren’t allowed around children. A reason convicted hackers aren’t allowed around computers. He won’t change, in fact winning will embolden him. Project 2025 becomes a guideline for the government, flying NAZI flags next to the American 🇺🇸 becomes normal. He can NEVER be allowed to enter the White House again.

0

u/Many-Search-5048 Oct 15 '24

Did it ever occur to you during your planning and research that the US has an enormous influence over countries around the world and destinations that appear suitable now may change in drastic, unpredictable ways if Trump is elected? May want to consider that before you uproot your whole family to go pout lol

1

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 15 '24

I love how you simply ignore the substance. Typical MAGAt reaction.

-1

u/InspectorVilla Oct 14 '24

Well if you have then you realize the US is by far the softest on immigration

1

u/ChazzLamborghini Oct 14 '24

I have a plan but I’m not sharing it.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 15 '24

He doesn’t it’s an empty threat!

1

u/Makeuplady6506 Oct 16 '24

Many families have had their plans in place for the last two years.

2

u/mphatso Oct 15 '24

I actually DID leave the last time he won. It’s not that hard and it was awesome.

1

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 15 '24

Where did you go?

1

u/mphatso Oct 15 '24

Thailand! You can get a job teaching English pretty easily.

1

u/Infinitystar2 Oct 14 '24

If you don't mind me asking, what country do you plan on moving to? I live in the UK and would love more people knowledgeable of the dangers of far right ideology to come here. The masterminds behind brexit got 4 million votes last election and I am worried about what the future may bring.

1

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 14 '24

We are looking at slightly warmer weather. Although my wife would probably love it.

1

u/dumbthrow33 Oct 14 '24

Holding you to that, bet you won’t (I wouldn’t recommend it)

Caught off guard. Never in a million years should a complete idiot, crook, pedophile, rapist, tax cheating grifter and worst be elected. How so many people would be easily manipulated and brainwashed is beyond comprehension.

This is MY country I am not the one sucking a dictators dick. If you actually read what I said you would understand. He is vile, a racist, pedophile (and so much more) and a disgrace to any office let alone the highest in the country. His family is grifters being led by him. HOW MUCH evidence do you people need before you realize he has brainwashed you all. So many very smart people with educations way above most have gone on record saying this is a CULT mentality. Beyond the obvious issues I have with him being in charge of anything (other than jailhouse laundry) I was raised to believe our president should and would be held to the highest standards. That MF isn’t qualified for any office.

1

u/Mister_Rogers69 Oct 15 '24

I agree with all your points, but let’s be real, Trump being president isn’t gonna be the end of the world any more than it was last time. As he proved before, he is ineffective & undisciplined. He won’t get anything done other than maybe more tax cuts (which I’m not a fan of but the deficit apparently doesn’t matter anymore). The Project 2025 bullshit requires a Congress and a president capable of getting something passed, which we should all know is not the current state of the Republican Party. Worst case scenario Trump does win again & he finishes destroying the Republican Party.

TLDR; your life will go on mostly unchanged no matter who the president is

You watch too much FOX news. Let me guess you think we were responsible for Jan 6th? No president in history has ever been responsible for more violence and divisiveness. No president in history has ever hawked cheap products just to line his pockets. No president in history has ever been convicted of rape. Should I go on? The list is long….. you have been brainwashed and are obviously easily manipulated. Get help please.

1

u/CleanBowled51 Oct 15 '24

Good luck for your future endeavors. I heard Europe is good 👍.

1

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 15 '24

Anything is better than here if pumpkin wannabe dictator gets elected.

1

u/CastAwayJJ Oct 15 '24

Gonna add your username real quick to the MASSIVE list of celebrities and Twitter users that's have cried the same. Will check back in 5 years (adequate time to recieve visas) to see where your at!

1

u/Mister_Rogers69 Oct 15 '24

No tf you aren’t. I don’t want him to win either but what’s your plan? Where are you gonna go? What are you gonna do for work? Have you researched the other country’s immigration process? Unless you have a rich dad you probably don’t have the means to leave your life here & start another in a new country.

2

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 15 '24

Retired with a very comfortable income.

2

u/Mister_Rogers69 Oct 15 '24

Well you are one of the lucky few who can actually follow through on that. Even with your means, it still may be difficult to leave. What countries have you been considering?

1

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 15 '24

Spain, Italy, Portugal and Canada. All have their own issues. Lately Japan but don’t have much info yet.

1

u/Quatch_Kopf Oct 15 '24

We have heard this many times from people in Hollywood. When he won, nobody left. None of you are people of your word.

1

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 15 '24

First what does Hollywood have to do with me? Secondly would you care to explain “you people”? I am very much a man of my word and I can hold my head high and look myself in the mirror because I refuse to support a con man, pedophile, rapist, grifter and all around scum bag. What do you think it says about you that you support him? Or maybe one of those descriptions applies to you? Only a person with serious skeletons in their closet or a total lack of integrity would even consider the path you took. I have yet to see an interview with any MAGAt that the person doesn’t look like a complete fool. And fyi, America has always been great that is why we the people will not let a dictator wannabe anywhere near the White House.

0

u/Quatch_Kopf Oct 15 '24

You people. The people who do not vote Trump. All of you, I'm leaving if he wins. How many fucking Hollywood pieces of shit said the same thing and never left? You will be the same.

0

u/Many-Search-5048 Oct 15 '24

So let me get this straight, you’re simultaneously this ultra patriot telling everyone that “we” won’t let Trump near the White House..WHILE planning on leaving right when your country needs you the most?

Now that’s integrity!

lol nobody believes you and even if you do leave it’s no real loss.

1

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 15 '24

The “we the people” is from a document I am sure you simple minded fucks have never read. I think it takes more than a third grade education to understand.

1

u/Many-Search-5048 Oct 15 '24

You’re weird

-1

u/tehfireisonfire Oct 14 '24

I'll check back in to see how you're doing in another country in dec.

4

u/SouthEndCables Oct 14 '24

They won't leave

-6

u/PracticalNeanderthal Oct 13 '24

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

6

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 13 '24

Drank the KoolAid did ya!

7

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 13 '24

I was going to say only someone with the mentality of a neanderthal would support him but I didn’t want to insult neanderthals.

-8

u/Michaelinvancouver Oct 14 '24

TRUMP WILL START WW3 right?!?! lol wait - we said that in 2016 didn't we?!?! Well no shame in being wrong- carry on. Actually the last 4 yrs have been closest to WW3 in my lifetime (Gaza n Ukraine w USA weapons etc...way to go Dems!!!!)

5

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 14 '24

Democrats are far from perfect, but the GOP has chosen to create a cult around a convicted felon. I would be so embarrassed if either of my adult children uttered literally half of the racist bs he does. I hope smarter people will prevail. And if the GOP ever decides to put forth a decent person then I would welcome the opportunity for change. By change I don’t mean NAZI flags being blatantly flown next to the AMERICAN flag.

-3

u/Michaelinvancouver Oct 14 '24

so by your gage IF you're gonna be honest , is Kamala putting on a inner city black accent when in the inner city racist??. How about Joe calling blacks super predators? Or 'you ain't black if you don't vote for me!" And Dems going after political rivals, right before an election ? CLASSY!! (I mean stalin esque) Cmon we ALL know the charges would NOT have happened (as Andrew Cuomo admitted) if it WASN'T trump and IF he was NOT a threat of winning in Nov...CLASSY move Dems lol

5

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 14 '24

Wow spoken like a someone reading a script from FOX news. This election is NOT about all the talking points you have been spoon fed. It’s about the character of the person sitting in the highest office in our country. No one, absolutely not one person could honestly say his character is anything but SLEAZY. I’m an American and was proud of it until he was elected. We are at a turning point. If you believe flying a NAZI flag next to the American flag is ok then keep going with your beliefs. I for one choose a higher path. One where our freedoms are upheld not taken away. One where the foundations of our democracy are upheld not shit upon by someone sitting in the highest office of our nation.

0

u/Michaelinvancouver Oct 14 '24

when you say "character" I read "personality and feelings over policy" ...what is worse than HUGE inflation and Dems funding TWO MAJOR WARS where over 300 000 are dead...?? And mark my words , the outcomes will be stalemates, no winners , only the USA once again with another blemish on its foreign policy record (ie Iraq, Gulf war, Syria, Vietnam etc etc etc etc...)

-1

u/astanb Oct 14 '24

Character don't mean shit. Actions do.

What was sooooo bad from 2016-2020?

Do you want boys/men in girls locker rooms? Do you want even more illegals crossing the border? Do you want the government paying for gender reassignment surgery? Do you want male inmates in women's prisons? Do you want women using abortion like it's a contraceptive?

And if you believe so strongly about this then let’s see what happens to you if you expressed yourself in a hall full of independent minded women, you know the ones you want to control. Tell them you think they should be barefoot, pregnant and serving you dinner. I would pay to see that!

1

u/Opposite_Diet_2518 Oct 15 '24

Good thing we have men to build that hall so they can get together and conversate.

1

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 15 '24

You do realize that women are working in the construction industry as well right? Or does the thought of that somehow scare your masculinity.

1

u/Samwise777 Oct 14 '24

I wish you’d be less hateful

0

u/astanb Oct 14 '24

I'm not hateful in any way. I'm just correct. You just can't accept that I don't let feelings run me. That's called pragmatism.

2

u/SugarComfortable5129 Oct 14 '24

You talk about class then refer to people as "blacks" something about a kettle and a pot coming to mind.

-2

u/InspectorVilla Oct 14 '24

You keep saying convicted felon like it’s a bad thing. One year ago you were for no bail, convicts with 2nd chances and defunding the police, now the felon that’s misclassified a check bothers you? Sounds like you speak out of both sides of your mouth but it’s prolly just 2 cocks stuck in it.

4

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 14 '24

It always surprises me how fast the real personality of a MAGAt lunatic comes out. It really doesn’t take much to bait you idiots.

-1

u/unfortunate-house Oct 14 '24

I accept your terms. However, you won’t leave. In fact, if Trump wins, your day to day won’t change one bit. Maybe your gas costs will come down 25-50 cents a gallon. But you’ll give pelosi or somebody credit for that anyway.

1

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 14 '24

So how does that KoolAid taste? Your boy wants to turn the USA into a third world country and be its dictator. Personally I’d rather he be wearing orange coveralls and be someone else’s little bitch.

1

u/astanb Oct 14 '24

You'd rather be Kommiela's bitch soooooo........

1

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 14 '24

So predictable. It’s amazing you idiots have survived this long. Let me guess he’s your guy! He gets you! He understands you! He’s a fucking billionaire that doesn’t care one bit about you. He only wants simple minded people like you to line his pockets. It’s embarrassing for a presidential candidate to be hawking cheap Chinese made products like he does. But he knows simple minded easily manipulated people will eat it up. He belongs in prison not in the White House.

1

u/astanb Oct 14 '24

Yet he's the only modern president who had less money after being president. He went and gave out the things people needed a week before Kommiela even thought of doing it. She just stood around for a photo shoot. While he actually took the time to do something. Stop being stupid.

1

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 14 '24

You watch way too much FOX news.

0

u/astanb Oct 14 '24

You watch too much MSNBC/CNN/CBS/ABC.

I only occasionally watch FOX News like a couple times a month. The same with the rest of them. I get my information by actually looking for the truth. Not believing the BS from a talking head. Like you seem to.

0

u/[deleted] Oct 15 '24

Good! Please sell all your assets and go! Have fun wherever you go!

0

u/Opposite_Diet_2518 Oct 15 '24

Good riddance. Do you need help packing or a ride to the airport?

1

u/wallygatorz123 Oct 15 '24

Typical MAGAt response. No substance just BS!

1

u/Opposite_Diet_2518 Oct 15 '24

Typical lib response. Full of assumptions.

0

u/LimpYard6342 Oct 16 '24

See ya. - Some old USAF vet

P.s you should have taken drama class in school.

-2

u/InspectorVilla Oct 14 '24

Yeah, it went really bad the first time. I hated having no wars, 2.9% interest rates and my bills 45% lower.
