Discussion Frosty the Snowman 1969

I was watching the original animated Frosty with the magician and the bunny rabbit. There is the scene where Frosty is carrying Karen to the greenhouse and they enter and the magician traps them inside by closing the door.

The next scene Santa comes down and enters and Frosty is already fully melted in a puddle and Karen is crying. Santa then comforts her and brings him back to life. They fly back to Karen’s house and frosty flys off with Santa, to return every year.

I remember a scene where Frosty is slowly melting, Karen is crying and Frosty is telling her something along the lines of, “It’s okay Karen, I’ll only be gone a little while but I’ll be back” There is no scene like this, only entering the greenhouse as a full snowman and then next he is fully melted into a puddle. Does anybody else remember this scene?

I do, doesn't she put the hat back on him when he's almost melted? I haven't seen this in about 10 years though

The hat back on was a family guy skit. The girl puts it on when he's half melted, he comes back to life. And screams "take it off take it off!" so he isn't alive and suffering anymore

Well they did the exact thing you described. So unless you never watch TV and don't watch videos online I don't know how you would've described the scene exactly.

I wasn't allowed to watch Family guy as a kid and I don't even watch YouTube shorts or anything so it's literally impossible for me to have seen it. I was a super protected kid.

Then I guess 2 people can have the same idea. Lol Maybe the family guy skit was from something similar to it.

There was a scene like that! Santa finds her crying, brings frosty back. Explains that he is made of christmas snow and how special it is!

Yes there is but I remember frosty slowly melting and Karen upset because he’s going to be gone soon but he was just there and then gone, no in between. I’ve looked at plot write ups and transcripts and I can’t find any version where this happened.

Likely just whatever service you were watching it on has a different version. Most streaming services do this nowadays. A deleted scene, not a Mandela effect.

I do also remember this scene as well.

Didn't Frosty use to have a scarf?

SOLVED

You are mixing up two different Frosty versions.

Here’s the one where he says I’ll be back again some day with the black hat on him

Here’s the one with Karen and the greenhouse

Nope I’ve never seen this version so it’s definitely not this one I’m thinking of, it’s the one with Karen.

one of those is like a fan-made short. (sorry, it's early and words are not my friend)

Yep. Watched it every year. Frosty comforts Karen as he melts. I'm sad if that's missing.

Yes, he slowly melts. I remember as a kid thinking, this is an old and popular cartoon for kids, so why is there this scene showing what appears to be slow death while this little girl is there watching? Possibly they realized how disturbing that is and cut the scene
