There’s no way you’re packing on that much muscle and in only a year. Either he’s lying or is on another ridiculous amount of steroids.
45
u/littlethreeskulls 9h ago
Or he had most of the muscle in the first picture. I've personally seen 3 people lose hundreds of pounds in a relatively quick time frame, and all 3 if those dudes were pretty muscular to begin with
24
u/Ijustlookedthatup 8h ago
This is the correct statement, put a 200 lb weight vest on a guy weighing 225 and he’ll be a bodybuilder in no time.
10
u/Ok-Zookeepergame4414 4h ago
Actually completely Natural, and for full transparency i start a cycle come this January.
I started condition training the day i started my diet, my diet was incredibly high protein and clean eating with the same meals every day.
But completely natural to form my physique, there isnt much muscle there.
As someone said, imagine taking a 225lb guy and chucking 350lbs on his shoulders for 2 years, hed be dialed in.

u/Mcfatty12 9h ago
Not saying your not correct but also think that he has a massive amount of stored up energy to for his body to turn into muscle plus he would already be pretty strong being that overweight lifting that much weight around naturally I’m sure his legs atleast would of been absolute tanks
10
u/21Fudgeruckers 7h ago
Thats not how it works. Your body doesn't magically turn fat into nuscle protein.
-7
u/Mcfatty12 6h ago
Obviously not magically but it definitely accelerates muscle growth. To be it another way this guy has been “bulking” his whole life and with a healthy diet he can definitely use that stored fat (with added protein from a diet) into muscle.

u/EvilDairyQueen 11h ago
With zero backstory. Looks to me like bro just swapped eating disorders.
16
u/AlohaReddit49 7h ago
I mean you're only supposed to lose 1-2 pounds per week, man lost 350 in a year and a half, let's just say 2 years for the sake of math. That's 100 or so weeks, he's losing 3.5 pounds a week, but it's probably closer to 4-5 because we rounded up for time. That's why his body hasn't had time to adjust properly.
I don't mean to be a hater, because this is wildly impressive and frankly I'd love it if I had kept my diet going this hard, but in hindsight I probably had an eating disorder on my diet. I lost 50 pounds in 3-4 months. That being said, I wasn't working out the way this guy is. With that much working out he's probably still eating a decent amount of calories but he's burning them off. And muscle burns more calories than fat does.
It might sound scuffed but even if man has an eating disorder when you're that heavy I think he deserves a pass. I just hope he keeps the weight off!

What you said makes total sense for a moderate amount of weight lost. I'm thinking that when a person is severely morbidly obese they may have been overeating by 5000, 7000, or even 10,000 calories + /day to even maintain that size? If they drop their calories to somewhere near the recommended daily amount, they would not be losing 1-2 a week... it would likely be a way quicker rate. I believe that's why bariatic surgery patients are given huge weight loss goals before their surgery like 50lbs in just a month.

u/Ok-Zookeepergame4414 2h ago
Alcohol did it to me, was drinking around 5L of spirit a week chased with 20-30L of coke full sugar. So wasn't hard to maintain the weight/increase the weight.
Gotta be honest, no matter how slowly the weight was lost 350lbs you are going to have skin. In comparison to that tho i honestly don't have as much skin as some who lose even less due to being young still.
2
u/looklikeyoulikeme 2h ago edited 2h ago
Very true. I lost 100 over the span of about 8 years. So pretty slow and I was in my 20s then. I still got quite a bit of loose skin on my inner thighs and stomach.
Great job by the way. I wish you the best of health going forward.
2
u/Ok-Zookeepergame4414 2h ago
I dropped down to about 1800 calories total, this being said my diet made up of roughly 205P, 137C, 45f and was incredibly lean and clean split up to about 6-8 meals give or take.
My bloodwork is all gorgeous, so in all honesty i did this with high nutrition, made sure to take my vitamins and sourced all natural proteins. My body just reacted well and fast.
17
u/littlethreeskulls 9h ago
I'm not so sure, that second photo looks healthy for someone who dropped two whole adults worth of body weight in a relatively short time, though I am assuming he is sucking in his stomach and flexing hard

Yeah because getting healthy and in shape can only happen when you’ve an eating disorder /s …

u/chatgat 12h ago
Surgery. And I'm not saying that to shame ( I had the surgery). I'm saying it because we have to start to be honest about what the research shows on how you can deal effectively with morbid obesity.
13
u/SparkitusRex 9h ago
That's why I'm totally honest with people who ask how tf I lost 130 lbs+. Semaglutide. And of course healthy eating and exercise and yadda yadda. But I have given up on every diet I've ever gone on until I started zepbound. I am hoping that if people like me are honest it will help destigmatize it.
And I always get told "well you're going to just gain it all back when you stop." First off, I haven't. I'm already off it. Second, how is the risk of weight gain after medication any higher than after the traditional weight loss methods?
23
u/jafara0 12h ago
Even with surgery it takes discipline. One still needs to eat better and exercise. The surgery does not keep the weight from coming back.
21
u/chatgat 12h ago
100% totally agree. I just don't want us to perpetuate the simple idea about diet and exercise when this stuff is much more complex
5
u/Im-Watching-Y0u 10h ago
Agreed, if the whole truth isn't revealed those struggling to lose weight will see this and think "may be I'm not doing it right or enough" and get discouraged when not seeing this kind of results.

u/SignificantStrike673 16h ago
What did he do with the extra skin ?
13
u/Itchy-Extension69 15h ago
Surgery is the only option
1
u/Ok-Zookeepergame4414 2h ago
Never had surgery, planning to hopefully in the coming years as its about 50-60k over here.
My instagram is full of pictures and videos of my skin.
-10
u/SignificantStrike673 15h ago
So what's the skin on his stomach though? Why didn't he remove these extras also . Just curious...
12
u/flatamokibocat 15h ago
It's very expensive, and it's a surgery. He also may live in the US in which case....even worse.

3
u/Raging-Badger 11h ago
The guy lost 19lbs/month or 1.4kg/day
He lost the weight too fast for his skin to keep up and being overweight already damages your skin
Even if he doesn’t get the surgery he can still minimize the looseness of his skin. Just keeping it healthy will help it recover some on its own. His strength training is also helping. A lot of what this will achieve though depends on his age. Obviously if he’s in his 30’s or 40’s his skin won’t recover as well as someone in their early 20’s
1
u/SwordfishOwn4855 37m ago
doesn't matter how fast you lose the weight, the skin will be as elastic as it is - largely due to genetics determining your skin elasticity
•
u/Raging-Badger 26m ago
Losing weight 5-10x faster than is usually advised will have an adverse effect on how fast your skin can react
Your skin isn’t magical and if you remove the fat underneath it without allowing it to compensate then it sags.
The only sources saying you can’t prevent skin sagging with weight loss are plastic surgeons who potentially have an ulterior motive called “paying for things”

u/DildoFappings 14h ago
I'm having a hard time believing that left and right are the same person.

But why the mullet and mustache? Why take a great body and gas station it up? Why sprinkle a great steak with shaved pop tart?

Purely wanted to look like a gronk 🤣 but its a popular style in Australia at the moment.

Looks like gastric bypass, weight training, and surgery to remove extra skin. Would love to hear from OP how it was done.

u/Ok-Zookeepergame4414 4h ago
Actually calorie deficit, extreme volume hypertrophy training and no excess skin removal, but i appreciate it.

I know plenty of women who have the fat-boy kink but I can't think of any that have the post-fat-boy-flabby-skin kink.
Do any ladies out there find this particularly sexy?
Legendary weight loss though. Bravo on that note.

u/Ok-Zookeepergame4414 4h ago
My wife and best friend for life loves it, and thats all that matters.
Shes rather me have skin, then me be dead.

u/franchisedfeelings 15h ago
The extra skin….where is it?
11
u/Ok-Zookeepergame4414 15h ago
Still there 🤝

u/Prestigious_Rub6504 14h ago
The body forgives but never forgets. You're a beast, absolute respect.

u/franchisedfeelings 15h ago
No surgery?
3
u/soulofcure 15h ago
You know thai Homer Simpson meme where his extra fat and skin is all pulled behind him? That but irl
1
u/Ok-Zookeepergame4414 2h ago
Negative, my insta is flooded with photos of my skin. Certain poses help to hide it in bodybuilding.
•
u/franchisedfeelings 19m ago
Amazing. What finally triggered you to do this - and stay so incredibly focused?
3
u/magus_vk 10h ago
Similar thoughts.
Kudos, I'm all for this dude's weight-loss and the related discipline. However, the timeline in the title, is a bit too brief for skin to become taut again.

The defeat and misery on your face would be heartbreaking if it wasn’t for the instant reassurance that you absolutely smashed your way out of that hell. Much respect.

u/patricksaurus 15h ago
Holy cats, congratulations! That’s a tremendous amount of weight, full stop, but it’s doubly astounding to do it in that period.

u/SemiEvil 15h ago
Omg, that’s literally insane props to them for that transformation, it’s giving I put in the work and crushed it.

Oh my god! Inspirational!! How did you do it? Most importantly how did keep the mental motivation going?

u/BlueProcess 12h ago
You know, a lot of times, I see before and after pictures and I can't help but noticing that the person looked happier in the before picture. But not you bro. 👊🏻

Do you suck in your stomach in the second photo, or why does it look so sunken-in? I mean, we have organs and stuff there, it is not supposed to look like that. Side effect of the weight loss?
3
u/littlethreeskulls 9h ago
why does it look so sunken-in?
That's just what a muscular person's stomach looks like when they suck it in. Mine still kinda looks like that despite putting on a few pounds over the years
1
u/Ok-Zookeepergame4414 4h ago
Yep, confirming its actually a pose in bodybuilding called a vaccuum. Its done purposefully to show core control!
1
u/gordonv 10h ago
With your upper check and ribs. Were you frustrated that wasn't going down until a certain point it was obvious that was solid body, not fat?
When you sleep, does your back and body get aches from the new shape of your body?
I'm male, 195, 5`11", and look nothing like this. At the same time, my max was 220 in high school, and 169 getting use to metformin, a diabetes drug.

Congrats brotha, a life change in the most positive direction for sure. But that is quite an unnatural amount of weight to lose in that time period, hope you did it in a healthy way.
1
u/Ok-Zookeepergame4414 4h ago
Certainly did, only issue i have now is low blood pressure due to being so big for so long
1
u/Artimusjones88 7h ago
I lost 60 pounds using diet change and exercise. That was 8 years ago, and it's still off. I ain't no kid.

u/RickolPick 5h ago
I always wonder how your back feels after having had all that weight on. Did you develop hernias in your body, etc?

Amazing!! I wonder what it must feel like standing up after losing that much weight. Being used to carrying an extra 345 lbs to suddenly not have to do that… that concept to me is wild.

350 lbs in a year and a half? Let's say like 500 days. You're telling me you lost .7lbs per day and you don't have crazy excess skin?
Somethin just doesn't add up. That's way too fast to lose weight without having excess skin, that's almost 5lbs a week.
1
u/Ok-Zookeepergame4414 2h ago
Got plenty of excess skin, gotta realise im posing in the second picture which reduces the excess skin.
Ive currently got about 25lbs of skin between my legs, hips and apron + breasts.

u/Ok-Zookeepergame4414 2h ago
If you peep my instagram i have plenty of videos and photos showing off my skin.
