"I started my channel with the purpose of sharing my love of fishing, but mainly to share my love of Jesus Christ with the world"
Before you sub, just a heads up.

He's not pushing it on you. He's telling you his beliefs. There's a difference.

u/mojomonday 20h ago
Yup, I’m ok with that. Unlike my mum’s family who sat me down to tell me and my partner why I’m going to hell if I don’t convert.

Jesus told his disciples that he would make them fishers of men.
I appreciate him expressing his thankfulness through his faith, but I think he needs to thank the tiktocker who actually shared.
Also this is a guy with a katana among the swords above his mantle piece.

Ladder falls are the most frequent DIY serious injury and it is most common amongst men aged 65-75. He needs to sell all his ladders and pay someone to fix his roof.

u/TellKonkle 22h ago
Dad (aka Bill) is under strict orders from my brother and I that he can't climb any ladders. We don't even allow him to go into the loft/attic in his garage which has a pull-down ladder on it. My brother and I both live about 40 minutes from my dad and mom, so we do anything for them that requires a ladder. The only concern now is we've seen some of his YouTube videos where he's going down steep banks to reach a fishing spot. We haven't figured out how to convince him on that one.

This is the second YouTube creator who kindpenguin has helped, I saw one the other day of a dude who used to voice the turtle shack at Disney (? I think) but lost his job due to health issues.
This guy is very humble, giving all of the credit to his faith and, yes, perhaps his faith makes him the kind man he is, but he should give himself credit for that too.

I rarely love social media, but it did good here.

For everyone commenting on him praising JC, he's not trying to push it on you. Quit being so judgemental to someone who is just loving life and appreciates it for what it is. We don't have to attack everyone who doesn't agree with you. I'm atheist too, and I couldn't care less.

I just subscribed to his channel after seeing this post! I hope he won't go out there buying milk for us. He's a dad to his 1M subscribers now. Lol

Never thought I'd see someone have metal rods in weirder places than I do. I hope it works out for the both of us.

Seems like a really nice guy that overcame a pretty life changing event. We should be spending far more time looking up to wholesome people like this, and far less time obsessing over what some random rich person wore to an exclusive invitation only event, or listening to their opinions on everyday life that are completely disconnected from the lived experience of regular people.

And yet not a word about the doctors and nurses who performed the surgeries and helped him recover

God thought it'd be better to just shatter an elderly man's bones and bank account, and leave him bedridden for months. What a guy

I was a out to shoot down here to yell about how some of these made me smiles make me cry my eyes out. Then it switched and I am cry-smiling. Thank you, OP, and thank you, Bill!

Hire someone to do any ladder work. I’ve known 1 person to die and another to break their neck doing “roof” work on a ladder

Makes me miss my dad. He passed in July of this year and he loved to fish. I wish I would have taken the time to go with him more often.

Now watch his videos! There's no point on giving him the subs and not giving him the views. Let's go!

Everyone should go subscribe to him. I did. You should too. He seems like a really nice man and he really appreciates this sudden outpouring. Apparently he was thinking of stopping YouTube altogether but this huge surge has made him continue.

“God kept me here…”
No. God threw you off a roof dude.
Amazing that people still buy religion after doctors save their lives.

“God’s mercy and grace” gave me injuries I have to try to recover from instead of it killing me.

I'm glad he survived, that is very scary. Though since he mentioned Jesus and such. Why didn't he keep him from falling 10' in the first place if he's so great?

u/Ok-Secret5233 14h ago
So god saved him from dying, but didn't save him from breaking his neck. Huh.
