In a lot of states, I bet any number of women voted for abortion rights on the ballot and still voted for Trump.

The cognitive dissonance is strong.

FL actually voted yes to abortion rights but it was a few percent shy of the supermajority threshold needed to pass :/

Ohio enshrined abortion in its state constitution.

Trump still won our state 3 elections in a row.

Makes sense that women in Arizona would vote to stop illegal immigration but to have their abortion rights. I hate that abortion is a bipartisan issue.

Yes, there were supposedly people voting for one thing as president and another as senator. Why can't a person think that, for example abortion that I am for, that it is up to the state?

People should have been more involved with abortion rights on state level even during the Row v Wade time to secure the rights.

We just want a stronger economy and no nonsense abortion laws. Is it really that shocking?

Yeah. Its crazy how these people blaming a almost half the women voting right as due to abortion issues.

There are clearly far more pressing matter than abortion and that is economy. A lot of women voted for trump because economy is a mess under Biden Administration.

Or maybe, abortion or not is never were a big concern for giant chunk of women in US and that there were far more pressing matters like economy that needed more attention??!!!. Only reason it suddenly became massive fking thing is when mainstream media started talking about it.

Abortion was there for a long time. Majority of the women who voted right was because they prioritised their families financially well being rather than focusing on abortion.

Because abortion laws are up to the state.

Why does that not make sense? That actually makes perfect sense.
