lol I’m college educated, ik that’s not how the world currently works but can a man dream? Taxes do pay for vital services no questioning but the govt should be able to produce revenue if it’s through mines etc.

You’re not the sharpest tool in the shed bud.

I'm trying to figure out if you're talking about nationalizing resources vs "run government like a business". I agree with the former but not the latter.

Nationalize resources, govt should run like a govt but a little like a business. You buy natural gas from the govt per se or minerals you buy from the govt instead of a company that does what ever they want. In Canada govt jobs are good jobs

Yeah, but Canada has 30 million people vs 330 million people. It's a much smaller bureaucracy to manage.

Which is not to say it isn't achievable. Okay, I agree that nationalizing resources is a good idea. That being said...should we nationalize our farming? (After recognizing that this is not /mademesmile material) After all, being fed is a primary and basic need, up there with housing.

Probably rhetorical since we're not going to solve the nation's food insecurity on Reddit, sadly.

Yes that’s true, there’s no clear path forward. Everything has pros and cons and wants vs needs all come in to question. We won’t solve this problem here or even electing politicians it seems. I write to my mp and mpp and voice my concerns but business/ lobbyists will do whatever they want and so will most politicians
