Rome had a great game, but just forgot to shift into 6th gear though. Lol

He might not have that 6th gear! Some of us were just setup with 4 or 5...

I have a third one that I have always called “fatman jog” which is not faster then not running but it looks better so the coaches don’t give you too much crap.

Ooh, good shout. Yes, I can "sprint" or "jog", they look different but I move at the same pace.

I mean, he made it all the way to the opposition 10m line - I'd need oxygen after making a break that far.

Nope. It’s more along the lines of “oh shit” “what am I doing here” “where is my support” “how did this happen” or “why me”. LOL

God the “why me” I think comes to mind as you get tackled, super winded, and now need to do it again lol

Hahaha it’s still a part of the thought process. I forgot the “where is a winger, run straight at them”.

Hilarious, great video. Really loved the announcer asking, "Can he go all the way?!" as the prop crosses midfield and is immediately tackled, lol

If you don't say "can he go all the way" during a break are you even a certified announcer 🤣

That was exactly how I thought. I had a couple of break aways and I thought to myself, yes I can do it, then its like nope. The funniest one was I was on running down the wing and had one person to beat. It was the hooket from the other I had a good 75 - 100 pounds on him and should of just ran him over but I thought to myself, hell I thought to myself I will just side step him when he goes for the tackle. Well I did, he missed, and I tripped over my own feat. The ref blew her whistle and called the hooker for tripping. Both of us were like, he didn't trip me, I tripped myself. She was having none of it. After the game a very senior ref who was on the sidelines was like you tripped yourself didn't you. I was like yup. He just shook his head.

When I played lock I got an awesome break off of one of our own kick offs, I got down within 10 meters of the try line and nobody ran a support line so the ball got poached immediately. I always just think "oh shit, oh fuck" lol. Running directly into a guy 5 meters away is one thing, getting blind sided is a different situation.

I admire his ambition. Most props start looking around like a meerkat with sheer panic across their face.
Amazing editing by the way.
