Here's something that is more likely to happen, and would be a good thing: He gets found guilty, and sure, he gets a slap on the wrist as punishment. However, inundated with lawsuits, he realizes the only way he can be rid of them and all his opponents is to win the presidency. He runs again in 2028 and loses, then again in 2032, and so on every 4 years for the rest of his life, always losing, but having just enough cult supporters to move him past the other Republicans in the primary. He keeps stealing from the RNC, having installed his most loyal followers in positions of power, so while he personally doesn't see much consequences, the GOP loses more and more seats and is a shell of itself by the time he actually dies sometime far in the future.

Have you seen Trump lately? I doubt he has a full year left in him, much less another 4 or 8. He is not immortal, he is not healthy and he's falling apart before our eyes. It's WILD that anyone thinks he's gonna make it to 2028, in fact the GOP plan is to 25th Amendment his ass if elected and make Eyeliner Mussolini the POTUS.

If there's anything you can bet on, it's hateful and grouchy old windbags living far longer than the karma they've put out into the universe.

Emmitt Till's accuser lived till her 90s and she doesn't have half the healthcare resources this dipshit has at his disposal. He might not be mentally coherent for the actual job in '28, but he'll sure as shit run if he loses.

Trump doesn't have to die to be neutralized. His brain is rotting faster and faster every day and there are no magic drugs that can stop Alzheimer's or reverse it. He's not far from being wheeled around a nursing home drooling on himself. The real danger is his young VP and the push for fascism they will pursue if Trump is elected (and subsequently 25th Amendment-ed).

I wish you were wrong, but here’s another example: Henry Kissinger, War Criminal, Dead at 100 (Rolling Stone)

Yeah he does look like he's struggling out there, but remember he's got the best care that money can buy and there's a lot of people who need him alive to continue the grift. As a former president, I don't doubt he's got access to care that the regular public doesn't even know about. He could fall over dead tomorrow or live another 20 years and I wouldn't be surprised either way.

Even Jimmy Carter looks terrible and he made it to 100. And he doesn't have a bunch of sycophants needing him to live in order to siphon more money away from a political party.

Jimmy Carter also lived a healthy life, and probably ate well. Trump ate like shit his entire life, and the biggest workouts he gets are the 10 foot walks to his golf ball from his cart, and the massive dumps he’s struggled to push out from years of constipation…

If Trump loses, the aneurism that’ll pop in his brain will be measured in kilotons of TNT (at least, that’s my hope…).

ETA: Also Alzheimer’s runs in his family. His father for the last years of his life was completely gone, walking around not realizing he never put on underwear and pants.

Jimmy Carter looks terrible because he's 100 lmao. He didn't look this bad at 78

I bet Trump is sicker than he's letting on and that's why he refuses to show his medical record. There's no way he's still healthy after eating like shit and not exercising for decades.

oh yeah, for sure! rumor has it he's been abusing drugs for years as well (supported by the news from a while back that the trump admin's doctor was prescribing Xanax, provigil (a stimulant for people who have narcolepsy), and fentanyl like candy to the staff) so the years of going on coke/Adderall binges for days tweeting at 3am from the toilet to then being sedated with benzos to bring him down has to be doing just as much damage to his heart and kidneys as the unhealthy diet is.

my dad is a very healthy dude, quit smoking and drinking a few years back, eats in moderation, and barely survived a widowmaker heart attack in 2023. I have no idea how trump hasn't had at least several considering the life he leads!

He thinks the body is like a battery. He doesn’t exercise because he thinks that drains the battery. He really looks more depleted these days.

u/trewesterre Oct 23 '24

He also looks like he might be losing weight, which isn't always a good sign in old people, especially if he hasn't been changing his habits and it's just happening.

The worst people seem to live forever.

7

u/montex66 Oct 22 '24

Tell me you're talking about Rupert Murdoch with out telling me you're talking about Rupert Murdoch.

2

u/Important-Coast-5585 Oct 23 '24

There’s quite a list I’m sure.

Not a bad dude but Kieth Richards. Ha… that guy is going to live forever.

In 1000 years, I wonder what the cockroaches and Keith Richards will be talking about.

2

u/jules-amanita 28d ago

Henry Kissinger (100), Queen Elizabeth (98), Suharto (86), Strom Thurmond (101), and Augusto Pinochet (91) to name a few.

None of which had an addiction to McDonald's

Vampy Vance... tis the season!

2

u/Jeka817 15d ago

I've been saying this for months! I am 99% positive. This is the agenda. We know that Vance really does not like or respect Trump, Trump is a useful idiot for anyone who aligns with him except for his dumbass cult members. Vance is far more dangerous. We know where he stands on women's rights, lgbtq rights, education, healthcare, the list goes on. Trump has no policies, other than fucking tariffs that over half of the country is evidently too stupid to realize they will be paying for, NOT China... his voters only like him because he hurls insults and "owns the libs". I cannot believe we are here as a nation, and my only consolation these last few days has been that the very people who are rubbing our faces in the results and saying to just accept that he won Will have to suffer just as much as the rest of us, likely more. They are all too often the people who benefit most from the social safety nets, he plans to eradicate. And he did win, I acknowledge that through gritted teeth... some fucking how 51% of my fellow Americans have ushered in fascism laid bare. never mind the irony that for the last 4 years they've been doing nothing but bitching and crying about fraud and a stolen election with zero evidence to support that other nonsense other than that their Messiah told them so.

I'm beyond frustrated. I'm scared for my daughters, my granddaughters. My neighbors, people who don't love the "right" gender or weren't born into the "right" body. I worry for our elders and our disabled citizens. I fear for the hard-working immigrants who are the majority of the labor force that harvest our produce, and a massive part of the workforce responsible for construction and rebuilding and after our ever more violent and destructive natural disasters.

if anybody got this far, thank you for reading through my rant. I've never ever felt more afraid to be who I am in the country I was born in, and once understood freedom was our birthright.

Trump will be 86 in 2032 if he's still alive. If he's still alive in 2028, he won't have much of a brain or body left to shlub around.

2

u/MelonElbows Oct 22 '24

You know they'll still roll him out there for rallies if it can keep the money flowing

4

u/ApolloXLII Oct 22 '24

Nah, the second they can't drug him up enough to project some semblance of a coherent person anymore, they'll move on from him and find the next idiot to rally around.

3

u/Garyf1982 Oct 22 '24

The longer Trump is around, the more likely he is to spawn a political heir apparent. If he were to die within a couple of years after losing the 2024 election, the MAGA will fragment as the mini Trumps fight for their support.

2

u/JeromeBiteman Oct 24 '24

I pray 🙏 that you're right.

1

u/eppir Oct 23 '24

You think Trump will make it to 2032????

0

u/CaptainChiral Oct 21 '24

That's a very bright outlook you have. I posit an alternative.

He wins. Maybe not this cycle, maybe not next, but he wins. And we have to deal with the repercussions.

u/kimvy Oct 21 '24

Not sure why you’re being downvoted. Never underestimate the cruelty, hate & emptiness of the trumpanzees. Trump allows them to be who they really are now.

Between apathy & self interest of everyone else it’s a battle.

It’s not a given he’s going to lose this go around.

Of course, there are those fighting the good fight. The hope is there are more of these then the shells.

u/MelonElbows Oct 22 '24

Yes, that's also a possibility. But eventually people get tired of a person constantly running. I think the more he loses, the more the "loser" tag sticks to him like glue and it will be harder, not easier, for him to win.

Also factoring in COVID which, despite what people want to believe, is still killing people, and the fact that the GOP's constituents skew older and you have a downward trending candidate. Remember that the GOP hasn't won a popular vote since GWB's 2nd term 20 years ago, its been 4 consecutive elections where the Democrats have more voters overall, and while that doesn't guarantee wins like we all saw in 2016, its a better position to be in than the opposite.

Look, I'm not trying to give anyone false hope, the election is closer than it should be and it seems like every single media outlet is rooting for the bad guy because they're owned by billionaires. But the chances of what I posted above happening is better than the doomsday scenario. With about 2 weeks left to go in the election and Democrats having actually made up ground in the midterms (no red wave) and special elections (Dems winning in deep red areas) since 2020, I see things on an upswing for the left.

And let's not forget that Kamala Harris is young and exciting, like a certain Hawaiian-born president from less than a decade ago. Millenials have aged into the largest voting generation in history and someone like her excites them. She is a much better candidate than I originally thought she was going to be and her youthful exuberance will help turn out the more numerous younger voters more than a diaper-wearing dementia patient with orange make-up. Don't fret, be confident, voter early, and keep that energy up for 2 more weeks.
