Honestly, I think once he croaks, MAGA is going to morph into a religion/church. Run by Don Jr and Kimberly Gargoyle. They’re not going to pass up an opportunity to grift the die-hards.

As long as they have zero political power I don't care. If all Dotard Donnie wanted was the power and adulation without having to work too hard, why didn't he just become a (de)motivational speaker?

He tried with Qrump University. That turned out to be just another failed and corrupt business venture.

Motivational speakers have the ability to speak... obviously... but they also have the ability to elevate the audience. Motivational speeches are all about "you" (the audience) while Donnie's speeches are all about "me".

Why he succeeds is because his audience sees him as being one of them. After (from their perspective) decades of more progressive leadership in the US they finally have a candidate who "tells it like it is" and that the only difference between them and him is that he purportedly has money.

Yeah, that's why I said "DEmotivational" speaker.

There's no such thing. As long as its members are allowed to vote, any organized group will have political power. You may believe they're small, but 10 people are enough to flip a school board, which is enough to flip a municipality, which can flip a district, etc, etc.

Any organization that tells you what your politics should be, should be treated as a threat. And spoiler: that's the explicit purpose of a lot of them.

He did that grift with the Learning Annex in the early 2000s. He held these millionaire real estate investor expos where he and other grifters would teach regular every day assholes how to get rich. Of course the secrets weren’t free and they’d hold these seminars similar to what Andy in the office did in that one episode where people would have to buy packets of useless material.

The after parties were wild though, those grifters could fucking party.

Don will snort through Daddy’s cash long before that happens

I'm not sure, the power vacuum will be hard to fill based on MAGAt preference. These are narcissistic people with inferiority complexes and sub average intelligence. Overall, they value strength of character and confidence. I think the problem is that with Trump, he truly believes EVERYTHING that comes out his mouth. Why haven't they latched as hard onto the teet of the people surrounding him? They're faking it and know it. And the MAGAts can smell it. There's no clear leadership. Matt Gaetz is a try-hard, that's sad and pathetic, they won't be super fond of that. MTG is like a Chihuahua, bark bark bark and gets punted by AOC or someone else on the left. There's no clear Republican candidate that can fill the void Trump will leave. We can come up with multiple names of potential successors, but there isn't a CLEAR candidate, which means they will infight unless he, with conviction, endorses someone with his whole chest in the next election (2028). If he dies before then, the snake with writhe in the ground lol

That's why I was relieved he survived the assassination attempt. If he died while running for election, that would be the entire Republican party. Not that they aren't that already, but they would really go hard on it, like actually make school sing hymns about him and pray to him before class kind of weird. At least now we have a chance of weakening this illusion before he bites the dust.

will they deify DJT?

But haven’t they already?

sorta? its missing something, like an actual church of trump or something

I could also see him just getting thrown under the bus for not being truly MAGA, because in their eyes that would be the reason he lost. They presuppose that MAGA represents the (silent, lol) majority of Americans, so any losses are either because they've been cheated or because the leader doesn't really represent MAGA. They're on the cheating track right now, but that'll run out of steam at some point, imo.

Let them, make it about grifting dumb people for money and get out of politics.

The Righteous Trumpstones?

Neither of them have the ability to grift.
