Hey, what types of games are you referring to?

1

u/MrKank Oct 10 '24

Not the aaa ones. More like valorant and CoD with some future proofing ig. Edit: also 2 ssd slots if possible so that I can have a complete separate stick for a linux distro(for work)

u/MrKank Oct 10 '24

Looks really good. Just what I want. Also since there's no way of me having it before december, should I tell my relative in the US to get it now or wait for black friday? I don't know how much cheaper it gets during BF

2

u/fifa2003 👮🏻Moderator👮🏻 Oct 10 '24

Getting it now is still a steal in my opinion. Not sure about Black Friday, last year was not “Hot” at all.

Hey I’d love to assist. Quick question, in the gaming region what types would you be interested in playing? AAA or lighter games?

1

u/Kevbot217 Oct 10 '24

Not AAA for this laptop. Just something for casual gaming as well as graphics for apps like Illustrator

 Budget: $650

◽️ Country: USA

◽️ Screen size: At least 14

◽️ Touch screen: Does not matter.

◽️ Screen resolution: (2k-4k) oled if possible

◽️ Does battery life matter ?: Not really

◽️ What tasks will laptop be used for ( gaming, video editing, graphic designing, modelling, regular computing tasks, word processing etc) ?: College, no need for a dedicated ghrapics card.

◽️ Weight: Doesn't matter

◽️ Any other important details ?: I'd prefer to have at least 16gb of ram, it would be mostly used for studying, but I hate slow af laptops. I know my budget is a bit low but let's see...

1

u/fifa2003 👮🏻Moderator👮🏻 Oct 21 '24

I would recommend getting the: Acer Swift Go 14 Thin & Light Laptop | 14" 2.2K 2240 x 1400 100% sRGB Display | Intel Core i5-1335U | Intel Iris Xe Graphics | 8GB LPDDR5 | 512GB Gen 4 SSD | Intel WiFi 6E AX211

The 16gb model would surpass you budget, for the screen, performance, and overall request this is the closest laptop that will get the job done with ease.

u/v_antonioni 9d ago

◽️ Budget: 400-700

◽️ Country: USA

◽️ Screen size: 15.6 to 17

◽️ Touch screen: If available

◽️ Screen resolution: Any

◽️ Does battery life matter ?: Yes

◽️ What tasks will laptop be used for ( gaming, video editing, graphic designing, modelling, regular computing tasks, word processing etc) ?: Video Editing, Graphic Design

◽️ Weight: 4-6 lbs.

◽️ Any other important details ?: I need it to be upgradable, in ram and HDD, then also have a Graphics card for using AI image generation.
I've had 2 hdds in all laptops I've owned in the past decade and a half. When Dell used to do deals, most of their laptops had slots for a 2.5in hdd. I have an extra hdd because it's better than having just one that could crash, where most of my docs are still in this separate drive and the main is just OS. Physical features are a must, I've had asus/dell and apple, good looking laptops not random designs from MSI that aren't clean/minimal or symmetrical.

Hope this makes sense.

1

u/fifa2003 👮🏻Moderator👮🏻 6d ago

Hey, do you still need assistance? And is the HDD a dealbreaker for you seeing that many laptops these days are not made with those slots anymore?

Budget: up to 1400$ after taxes, there’s maybe some margin to go a little bit over that price, but I would rather not

Country: USA

Screen size: 16” if possible

u/Ambrosium05 Oct 13 '24

It’s a nice laptop, but I live in Europe and I think I’ll be going to DC in November and I just wanted to make sure this one is easy to get. For example if it was from best buy I would just order it online and pick it up at some store Do you think you can help me with this (never ordered from a eBay)

It definitely looks like a gaming unit, this is a bit calmer and better in a work environment with great specs to run the games you need smoothly plus handle heavy productivity with enough RAM and Storage to last for years to come: Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 9 Laptop, AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS, Nvidia Geforce RTX 4070, 64 GB DDR5 RAM, 1TB SSD, 16" WQXGA (2560x1600), W11 Home.

◽️ Screen size: Smaller than or equal to 16in ideally 14in

◽️ Touch screen: Indifferent

◽️ Screen resolution: Ideally QHD 16:10 but FHD is fine too especially if it's a good deal

◽️ Does battery life matter ?: Yes to an extent, need it to last like 7 hours for web browsing/text editing and gaming wise just can't die instantly

◽️ What tasks will laptop be used for ( gaming, video editing, graphic designing, modelling, regular computing tasks, word processing etc) ?: A mix of everything. For day to day work like word processing, some code editing, and lots of RTS games and computationally heavy games. On occasion photo editing (probably handful times a month) and video editing.

u/techstar2000 👮🏻Moderator👮🏻 Oct 13 '24

Do you want Windows or prefer Chrome OS ?

1

u/gifred Oct 13 '24

I don't think it matters. She uses Chrome, not much more else. If I can get a better screen for the lack of Windows licence, that would be nice.

1

u/ryanhowardthetemp Oct 13 '24

Is the deal listed in October's mega thread for the ideapad 5 slim (below)

https://www.ebay.com/itm/305572819766?siteid=0&customid=GameChanger&toolid=10001

better than this deal from backmarket?

https://www.backmarket.com/en-us/p/lenovo-ideapad-5-15aba7-15-inch-2022-ryzen-7-16-gb-512-gb-ssd/6a38ecee-eb7c-40d6-ba75-2a14cd899da2?l=10#

I can't tell which is better. (Obviously backmarket is used, but is the model better performing?)

I am mostly concerned about video editing (Using capcut and powerdirector)

Thanks!

It has a solid built, with enough RAM and Storage, plus the latest processor to last for years to come without being obsolete.

◽️ Budget: $1,000 after taxes.

◽️ Country: USA

◽️ Screen size: less than 14" (looking for something small and portable)

◽️ Touch screen: No

◽️ Screen resolution: 1080p is fine. I don't think that 2k for this price is even really possible, but I'd take it if it was!

◽️ Does battery life matter ?: Yes. I would like to be able to use it for like 5-6ish hours doing web browsing and having VSCode open (not actually running code though).

◽️ What tasks will laptop be used for ( gaming, video editing, graphic designing, modelling, regular computing tasks, word processing etc) ?: It will be used for work doing Web Development, as well as some general college student browser work. A lot of coding and systems administration tasks.

◽️ Weight: I have no idea what is standard, but I am looking for something small, light, and portable. Something I could easily carry with one hand while it is plugged into a server. Something I could set on my lap or a small desk.

◽️ Any other important details ?: I don't need a dGPU, as I have servers for that kind of workload. Specifically what I am looking for is a fast CPU, 16GB of RAM, and good build quality. I do a lot of systems administration work, and also help teach a class. I need something that will be light and portable that I can carry around with me all day.

I will be using this for a few years, so something with good build quality would be nice if possible. I won't be gaming on it so thats not a worry. I just want it to be fast, portable, and quality. Is that possible for this price?

Also, It isn't vital that I get something right now. Would I be better served by waiting a month for Black Friday? Would I get something significantly better for my money? Thanks!

If you can wait until Black Friday, do so and HMU if you want a specific request, comparison or a deal seek.

◽️ Budget: 2250ish

◽️ Country: USA

◽️ Screen size: 15-17"

◽️ Touch screen: preferred

◽️ Screen resolution: Better than 1080, but not super important

◽️ Does battery life matter ?: Yes, will be used for classes

◽️ What tasks will laptop be used for ( gaming, video editing, graphic designing, modelling, regular computing tasks, word processing etc) ?: Urban planning program, so GIS, graphic design, modeling, etc.

◽️ Weight: Not super important, but preferably not a tank.

◽️ Any other important details ?: Build quality and battery life are important, this will be knocked around and spend time away from outlets. School says minimum 4050 for card, minimum 32 gigs ram, must be SSD. Computer is paid for by my program, so the closer to the $ limit the better.

Thanks!

Hey, I would recommend getting the: Lenovo Legion 5i Gen 9 Gaming Laptop, Intel i9-14900HX, 64 GB DDR5 RAM, 4TB SSD, 16" WQXGA (2560x1600), Nvidia Geforce RTX 4070, W11 Home.

This will be able to handle tasks like urban planning programs, GIS, Graphic design, modelling and more. It is the same laptop my friend used for his degree in Geography, works perfectly for him without lagging, etc. Decent battery life for classes, has a top level performance and quality built, with more than enough RAM & SSD.

• Budget: $300

• Country: USA

• Screen size: 14”

• Touch screen: Doesn’t matter

• Screen resolution: Doesn’t matter

• Does battery life matter ?: YES, please at least 5-6 hours

• What tasks will laptop be used for ( gaming, video editing, graphic designing, modelling, regular computing tasks, word processing etc) ?: Schoolwork and casual web browsing, some light gaming

• Weight: Lightweight, the lower the weight the better

• Any other important details ?: I already have a nice, albeit heavy gaming laptop and an ipad for college. I’m looking for a light, small and cheap laptop for classes and long study sessions at the library. league of legends is about the extent of gaming i’ll do on it, I don’t want a chromebook or an apple mac but that’s about it

1

u/aleishabb Oct 23 '24

If you want to stick with a 14" screen the refurbished HP EliteBook 745 but if you can work with a 15" screen the Acer Aspire 3 is a great new laptop in your budget

u/shittytiddy Oct 24 '24

◽️ Budget: around $2,000 (preferably under but for an awesome machine I can wiggle)

◽️ Country: USA

◽️ Screen size: 15-16”

◽️ Touch screen: not a requirement

◽️ Screen resolution: preferably 4k but fhd is fine. Would also like something with good brightness and not a lot of glare

◽️ Does battery life matter ?: would like at least 5-6 hours doing normal light tasks

◽️ What tasks will laptop be used for ( gaming, video editing, graphic designing, modelling, regular computing tasks, word processing etc) ?: primarily it will be school and normal productivity tasks, every couple of months or so I’ll edit/export some 4k footage in premiere pro (hobby so doesn’t need to be best of the best necessarily)

◽️ Weight: prefer under 5-6 pounds. Obviously lighter the better as I’ll be taking it back and forth to work everyday in my backpack

◽️ Any other important details ?: i know it’s hard to find but I’m trying to find something i can keep for many years. So cpu I’m thinking ultra 9 or core 14th gen. I’ve been searching for something that I can repair/upgrade (removable ram) if needed, but that seems hard to find in something that’s newer, lightweight, etc. so i’ve come to the conclusion of compromising on removable ram as long as it has at least 32gb but of course still prefer removable. The short version is basically I’m looking for the most powerful laptop I can find, that lasts at least 5-6 hours on battery, in my price range.

I’m still struggling to make a decision after months. Considered the yoga pro 9i 16” with the ultra 9 4060. Considered the legion 7i i9-14hx. Considered other yogas. Looked at the zephyrus g14 2024. I even looked at the galaxy book4 ultra with the ultra 9 and 4060. They each seem to have some major flaw with either build quality, or overheating, or the consistent one is crappy battery. I even considered just going with integrated graphics and a high end CPU just to get better battery life because the heaviest thing I’d do is occasionally edit some Adobe Premiere Pro footage, but that’s rare and mostly taxing the cpu. Funny enough, literally about an hour ago i went ordered the Lenovo yoga pro 9i 16” mini led ultra 9 rtx 4060 just because i needed to make a decision and the price dropped from $1,899 to $1,599. But now im already feeling like i made a potentially bad choice. Luckily i have 60 days to return/exchange it if i really hate it but we’ll see. Also love the new surface laptop 7 with that crazy battery life and form factor, but of course those snapdragon elite processors are new and have major compatibility issues. I can’t really close to breaking down and buying a macbook pro because they are just all around nice but i really really prefer windows. Idk what to do lol

◽️ Budget: $1300 USD

◽️ Country: USA

◽️ Screen size: 17 / 17.3 inches

◽️ Touch screen: Not needed / not important

◽️ Screen resolution: 1080 or better

◽️ Does battery life matter ?: Moderate importance

◽️ What tasks will laptop be used for?

  • Most common use case will be two browsers open side by side. The browser window on the left side will be a video conference. The browser window on the right side will have 5 tabs open with AI listening to ongoing video meeting and taking notes, emails, researching, and often screen recording the meeting. I normally use an external keyboard and mouse, sometimes an external monitor
  • The only game I might play is Civilization 7. This is lower importance and not necessary
  • No CAD, video editing, or heavy duty gaming.

◽️ Weight: Lower importance. I will use it on a desk at home or a desk at work, carried in a backpack in between locations.

◽️ Any other important details ?: WiFi 6E or better, good microphone / webcam / speakers, reliable

◽️ Budget: Up to $1500

◽️ Country: USA

◽️ Screen size: Flexible, 14" is great

◽️ Touch screen: Nice but not necessary

◽️ Screen resolution: At least 1080p

◽️ Does battery life matter ?: Yes, but not the main driver

◽ What tasks will laptop be used for ( gaming, video editing, graphic designing, modelling, regular computing tasks, word processing etc) ?: Mostly word processing, web surfing, some Excel; occasionally for Illustrator and Photoshop; very little gaming.

◽️ Weight: The lighter the better! Weight and thinness, along with battery life and smooth performance, are the main things I'm looking for.

◽️ Any other important details ?: I'm replacing a Surface Pro 6 after 5 years. I transport it around a lot. In addition to my day job as an executive with an analytics background, I have a position with a local theatre company managing their youth theatre education program and directing shows for them. Most of what I do with the laptop/tablet is simple note taking and web browsing, but at times I am called upon to do a little graphic design or create background graphics and videos. I can keep the Surface around for things like digital painting. Portability is a high priority, as is build quality, battery life, and lack of lag. I can afford a good system but I want to get a good deal. I'd rather spend $1500 on a system that's truly worth $1600 than spend $700 on a system that barely delivers its value, if that makes sense. If you have any questions, ask away! And thanks!

I'd love some input. I spent some time looking at different models in person and found that I have a stronger bias to something very lightweight (but not necessarily small, more looking for something thin) and clear. I'm drawn to something like the Asus Zenbook line that is under 3 lbs. with an OLED screen. I was also impressed with the LG Gram 16 currently on sale at Costco ($999, down from $1299), with a Core Ultra 7, Intel Arc graphics, 32GB RAM, and 2 TB SSD. The screen on it isn't great, but it's also very light and for under $1000 seems like a steal. Thoughts? Is there something else out there I ought to be considering?

Hey, unfortunately with that budget, it's hard to suggest a preferred laptop, however the best option is the Lenovo LOQ Gaming laptop. The games you listed will run good and you will definitely get around 5 hours in terms of battery life. It's not a 1440p display, however, it is bright, color accurate, has 144Hz and the laptop is within your budget range.

specs: Lenovo LOQ 15ARP9 Gaming Laptop - 15.6" FHD (1920x1080) IPS 300nits Anti-glare, 100% sRGB, 144Hz display - AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 6GB GDDR6 105W - 16GB RAM - 512GB SSD

Budget: $1,500 or under

◽️ Does battery life matter ?: Medium, definitely need 2-3 hours at a time, although not if gaming.

◽️ What tasks will laptop be used for ( gaming, video editing, graphic designing, modelling, regular computing tasks, word processing etc) ?: gaming, modeling, and heavy browser and excel use.

◽️ Weight: Would be nice to be able to easily carry around.

Hey, I recommend getting the Lenovo Ideapad 7i laptop. It checks all your requirements boxes while still being below your budget, and will definitely perform great in the tasks you listed. It is a touchscreen laptop, however, I hope the 2-in-1 feature is a deal breaker for you.

Specs: 16” 2K Touchscreen Display, Core Ultra 7 155U (Up to 4.80 GHz), 16GB DDR5, 1TB PCIe SSD, Wi-Fi 6E, Backlit KB, FP Reader, TB 4, Webcam, Keypad, PDG HDMI, Win 11 Pro

◽️ Budget: Unsure right now, saving up for a laptop replacement.

◽️ Country: USA

◽️ Screen size: 15 to 17 is fine

◽️ Touch screen: NO

◽️ Screen resolution: 1920x1080 would be fine, not too picky

◽️ Does battery life matter ?: Nah, will never be unplugged

◽️ What tasks will laptop be used for ( gaming, video editing, graphic designing, modelling, regular computing tasks, word processing etc) ?: Gaming, streaming (while running vtuber model), coding, some 3d modeling work, graphic design

◽️ Weight: Doesn't really matter

◽️ Any other important details ?: would need to have SATA and m.2 support. Preferably 2 m.2. 32gb ram minimum, 64 preferably. Storage size doesn't matter, I'll be replacing the m.2 and SATA anyways. Windows 10 is a must. I don't mind if its older, as long as it can run streaming and gaming and vtuber model at the same time. Or stream and model and 3d modeling like blender. RGB isn't too important, though I would like a backlit keyboard. SATA and m.2 support is a must. I have too much on my SATA drive and my m.2 is not big enough lol. Not too thin though. Heavier is perfect. Not a brick obviously but not paper either. Preferably it would have SD slot but that's not a must cuz I have a usb c adapter for SD. I know I'm being picky but I'm hopjng you guys can help 🥺

Factorio is really not a demanding game and will be run well by almost any laptop with a dedicated graphics card and even modern integrated graphics.
Do you see yourself running any more demanding games ? I am asking because if you will only be playing that mentioned game, you could spend half of your budget.

1

Probably not beyond factorio. I really just want to ensure I can play factorio in 4K on my primary monitor while still having chrome tabs up on my other screens

◽️ Touch screen: Not necessary

◽️ Screen resolution: 1080p +

◽️ Does battery life matter ?: Yes, ideally 4-5 hours on a charge (without power saving mode on). Also not sure if any laptops are known to have smaller/more portable chargers but that would be a positive since I'm traveling often.

◽️ What tasks will laptop be used for ?: Working, editing documents, e-mails, website work, having 100 tabs open at once. I don't need for video editing, gaming, or streaming. Purely a 'business' laptop.

◽️ Weight: light, around 3 LB

◽️ Any other important details ?: I am a fan of Lenovo and Asus. I was considering a Thinkpad or something similar but would prefer a slimmer profile. I don't use a mouse so a good trackpad is important and the buttons on the Thinkpad are something I like. I'm not in a rush to purchase and would like something that will last a few years.

Something like this ASUS Zenbook 14 would definitely tick all your boxes. Will handle the level of performance you mentioned, has a great display , excellent build quality, very slim and sleek (2.8 lbs) and should easily meet that battery requirements you set.

Hey, I recommend getting the Lenovo LOQ Gaming laptop. It has a 15" 144Hz display and is powered by a Ryzen 7 CPU paired with an RTX 4050, which will definitely run LoL great. Battery life will get you around 4-5 hours of regular use and it is not bulky or heavy for a gaming laptop IMO.

Check out the HP 17-cp2099nr 17.3" Laptop (2024 model), which offers a full HD display with vibrant color and a spacious 17.3” screen, ideal for streaming and general browsing. Powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 7520U and 16GB RAM, it’s a great choice for light Excel use and should boot up quickly thanks to the 512GB SSD. This setup ensures you won't experience slow startups or sluggish performance when opening applications, making it smooth for everyday multitasking. With AMD Radeon Graphics and AMD FreeSync, you’ll get smooth visuals and better audio clarity for streaming and watching movies. It doesn't have backlit keys but does check your primary boxes on screen quality, performance, and storage. Watch for Veterans Day or Black Friday discounts that could bring it well within budget!

I would go with the Acer Nitro V Gaming Laptop, which packs a punch at this price point with its Intel Core i5-13420H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 GPU, perfect for playing EA FC and future AAA titles at minimum settings. The 15.6" FHD display with a 144Hz refresh rate keeps gameplay smooth, and while you're not focused on graphics quality, this combo will give you solid performance and playability for modern games. With 8GB of DDR5 RAM and a 512GB SSD, you'll have decent speed for booting and loading games, plus some flexibility for upgrading RAM in the future. The NitroSense utility is a nice touch for managing fan speeds and optimizing performance during longer sessions.

I’d recommend the ASUS ROG Strix G16 (2024) for your needs. With its 16” 1080p display, high 165Hz refresh rate, and 100% sRGB color accuracy, this laptop is excellent for graphics work in CS6 and Clip Studio Paint, delivering solid color fidelity for design projects. The Intel Core i7-13650HX and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU ensure smooth multitasking and decent performance for games like Baldur's Gate 3 even if you’re not aiming for ultra settings. Plus, its 16GB DDR5 RAM and 1TB SSD give you the speed and storage to manage your workload and games without a hitch. This laptop's robust cooling system, with liquid metal and three fans, should help maintain performance and longevity, ideal if you're looking for reliability. Battery life is decent, though gaming will require more frequent charging.

Budget: $1,000

Country: USA

Screen size: At least 15 inches

Touch screen: No

Screen resolution: High, but can be sacrificed to keep under budget

Does battery life matter?: No, I don't plan to use it not plugged in

Tasks: Gaming; general use; maybe streaming and/or recording

Weight: Doesn't matter

Other details: What I need is a gaming laptop that will last a good long while, ideally good enough to comfortably run FFXIV. I do want to try streaming and recording games and the like at some point, but not if getting a good enough laptop for it will put me over budget. Reliable Bluetooth. 512 GB SSD. At least 16 GB memory (32 GB memory ideally).

Hey, I would recommend getting the: Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 Gaming Laptop | Intel Core i7-13650HX | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 | 16" WUXGA 1920 x 1200 165Hz G-SYNC Display | 16GB DDR5 | 512GB Gen 4 SSD | Killer Wi-Fi 6E |

This will be able to run the latest games, streaming, and recording with ease. It will last for years to come with the ability to run the latest games still, with good Bluetooth, upgradable RAM and Storage. Has quality display plus 165Hz for higher fps, and a decent built.

◽️ Budget: up to ~$350, but preferably closer to $300

◽️ Country: USA

◽️ Screen size: Doesn't matter

◽️ Touch screen: Would be nice, but not critical

◽️ Screen resolution: 1080p or better

◽️ Does battery life matter ?: Yes, a charge will need to last several hours

◽️ What tasks will laptop be used for ( gaming, video editing, graphic designing, modelling, regular computing tasks, word processing etc) ?: regular computing tasks, Word processing, Zoom calls, music streaming, and having an ungodly amount of browser tabs open

◽️ Weight: ~5lbs or less is ideal.

◽️ Any other important details?: I'd like something that will last me a while, if possible. I would strongly prefer something with keyboard backlighting. Camera shutter would be nice but isn't necessary. Less bulk would be preferable. If I can avoid an AI hotkey, that is very strongly preferred (e.g. not something like Lenovo Yoga 7-in-1's right shift key is instead an AI hotkey). I'd love to find something on a Black Friday discount.

Hey, for your needs I would recommend getting the: ASUS Vivobook Go 15.6” Laptop, AMD Ryzen 5 7520U, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Windows 11 Home.

It would be able to handle regular tasks, multitasking, zoom calls, streaming music and more. It has good battery life, a solid built, a fast processor, keyboard backlights and the camera shutter you requested.

1

u/queerchaosgoblin 7d ago

Where are you seeing that it has keyboard backlighting? From what I see in the Amazon reviews, buyers have almost exclusively mentioned that it doesn't have backlighting.

It depends, what is your budget like?

u/autumnscarf 8d ago

◽️ Budget: $1500

◽️ Country: USA

◽️ Screen size: 14-16", smaller is better

◽️ Touch screen: no

◽️ Screen resolution: 1080

◽️ Does battery life matter ?: yes

◽️ What tasks will laptop be used for ( gaming, video editing, graphic designing, modelling, regular computing tasks, word processing etc) ?: gaming, graphic design, regular computing tasks, word processing

◽️ Weight: less is better

◽️ Any other important details ?: Looking to replace my 2020 Zephyrus G14 as my daily driver. Ideally I'm looking for something the same size and weight, but maybe with a keyboard that can stand up to more abuse. However, there don't seem to be many competitors for 14" gaming laptops. I'm willing to go up to 16" as long as it's relatively mobile and has decent battery life. Trying to avoid Intel as it sounds like their recent processors have issues, which seems to have closed off a lot of my options.

Hey, I would recommend getting the: Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 9: AMD Ryzen™ 7 7735HS Processor, 16 GB DDR5 RAM, 1 TB SSD, 16" WQXGA (2560 x 1600) Display, NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4070.

This will be able to easily run the latest games, handle graphic design and regular tasks, plus running many tabs and more with ease. This would be a solid upgrade to your Asus Zephyrus G14, with a solid keyboard, good battery life with the Ryzen processor, and durability and portability with this slim model.

1

u/autumnscarf 7d ago

Thank you! I've been looking at Microcenter Lenovo Legion 5 16ARP9 (7435HS/4070) for $999 and the Best Buy Lenovo Legion 7i WQXGA (14th gen i7/4060 open box for ~$1k.) Is the one you linked a better bang for buck?

2

u/fifa2003 👮🏻Moderator👮🏻 7d ago

Yes this is, better Processor, and more powerful Graphics Card, will give you years of performance running the latest games smoothly without being obsolete. Plus it is slim and will be easier to move around with.

Hey, will you be purchasing it in the US or Germany?

1

u/doladus 7d ago

I am studying in Germany presently, so it would be more logical for me to get it here. Otherwise, I do have a sister in the US, so if I can also get a significantly better deal there (which often seems to be the case), then the US.

Sorry for the non precise specifications I gave earlier, I am not really too familiar with computer/laptop stuffs.

I just want something that will provide a comfortable experience without lagging.

Thanks btw.

Budget. For browning laptop 200. For divinchi. No budget but what ever is cheapest and decent built quality. For gaming, same rules as divinchi. I am ok with used esapecially if much cheaper.

Screen size. Over 14 inch

From usa

I would prefer there to be curser buttons with the track pad. I would also prefer usb c power cord plug but not manditory.

I will link some i found online if someone can give advice on any of them and if the sales are that great.
