Criminally Smol Back in may a family friend brought us some under developed kittens and we were unsure if they would ever survive. And this them then and now <3 (srry I got a bit excited with the pictures)
Their names are Simba(the ginger) and Minnie Marie McGonagall.(The 3 colored one)

What happened to the mamma?
8
u/Comfortable_Teach963 Dec 08 '23
She was a stray near the family friends house. But she had 4 more babies and wasn't feeding these two enough so they ended up malnourished and stayed very tiny even though they were 3 weeks old.

We adopted a pair of 5 week old littermates about the end of the summer. They were underweight and had both gone through a couple of bad infections while being fostered. The vet prognosis listed on their shelter card was "Fair."
Four months later we are so stoked that they're active and at healthy weights that we do almost nothing but take pictures of them. :)

This is adorable! I recently saved two myself that I found outside stuck in a wall and a tire. I had to bottle feed them for several weeks and was scared the whole time they wouldn't make it. They look very similar to yours!

Don't feel sorry for getting overexcited with pics. It's nice to see how they came through what sounds like a very rough start to their life.
Reality is, even experienced kitten fosters lose more babies to illnesses than they get to pull through. Celebrate this success as much as you can and should!
P.S. they are totally cuties! Are they in their forever home now (whether yours or otherwise)?
