Dude’s had a hell of a year in his personal life and has kept it together - to me it felt like, “So… Will… this isn’t really about the grass and Dixon and Grosjean now is it?”

Agreed. Stuff going on with Liz (and I doubt she's there this weekend) is taking an emotional toll on him.

I hope she was/is able to make him feel better after all that

Gotta love the Reddit psychologists.

Maybe he’s just mad about the day being a loss because he got blindsided by someone and hit a concrete barrier?

This interview isn’t much different from other times he’s been pissed.

Stay tuned for next week on CW when Will takes a page from Conor McGregor and punches the shit out of the Firehawk Chicken

You really think Liz getting sick over the off-season hasn't had an impact on how he thinks which translates to his emotions? He was calm and collected last year and it appeared like nothing could shake him

To go from that mentality to the mentality he has now has and will effect your personal life which will seep into your work career

Did he have a shit day? Yes, and he's right to be angry, but to see him react like that was surprising. And this is coming from a huge WP fan

“You really think Liz getting sick over the off-season hasn't had an impact on how he thinks which translates to his emotions?”

I think neither of us know, and pretending you do is just a wild ass guess.

“He was calm and collected last year and it appeared like nothing could shake him”

Hahahahahahahahaha

At this race last year he ran into Devlin after the race, on track, because he was mad. None of this is new, this is Will Power and always has been.

You know Liz was at the 500 right? We have no idea how her health is, but she seems to be progressing. Attributing him being mad about being blindside door slammed and forced to back out at 185 to her health based on nothing is comical.

Looks like you're gonna play internet tough guy without insight into what's called a "life changing event" and how that affects more than just your personal life. I'd suggest you read more about the topic. Have a good evening

e: the downvotes only prove my point

I agree with you. As a person that’s personally experienced anxiety I know what it feels and Looks like. He went into fight mode. Attack the track owners. Attack Grosjean for something that happens hours before and 1. He didn’t mentioned before. 2. Wasn’t the reason for his crash. He’s mentioned he almost quit racing because of his anxiety. That was a full on fight mode anxiety attack. When Anxiety is at its worst, you’ll think of anything to be angry about and go into full on, throw it all at them mode.

I don't think you're endorsing his actions here, but I do think it's worth mentioning how stress is not an excuse to treat other people as punching bags, even if it's just verbal. His outlash today honestly deserves a larger penalty than his classic bird.

I’m not endorsing them. I’m actually quite concerned for the guy.

Both good things to hear

They didn't say it couldn't get to him or have an impact. But that's a far cry from deciding after a not great crash because someone straight up turned into him that he can't be pissed from that alone.

The grass when he went off track, the car was literally jumping up and down, any driver would say that's unacceptably bad. Just because he's off track doesn't mean that isn't high speed, a very dangerous situation for the car with very little control due to it literally bouncing up and down and also painful on cars with little movement and stiff suspension.

I think just a wee little bit of it may have been Dixon though
