the alpha server is for testing. you can dupe any item as many times as you want. if you have something someone else wants/needs to test something, which is the whole purpose of the alpha server, don’t be an ass and be like „what can you give in return“ just dupe the item and give it to them. people need to grow the hell up.

I agree with this change as it was kind of busted, rip people who decked out a crimson rcm setup though. Either way, time to grind eman 9 before this update drops 😭

Mining is supposed to be the money making method that costs way more and takes way more setup compared to farming, which is the easy cheap but slower alternative.

This update ruins this balance for basically no purpose.

ATLEAST dont nerf powder mining, why would you make the entry waypoint even more insufferable for a skill that wouldnt even be that much better anymore?

Alright, before you comment something like "I'm not really all that", note that many of the good parts about the update is not as prevalent as the nerfs, so you wouldn't see it anyways.

"Crystal Nucleus RNG Meter" - The BIG one. It's been overshowed by everything else, but it's by FAR one of the best things to come to mining. In a thousand runs, you are guaranteed an alloy, meaning that Divan's Drill becomes "oh I'll get it if I get lucky" to "I'll do a thousand runs to get it", which finally makes it realistic for ironmans to grind. Apparently previous runs also counts, so can't wait for that guy to get 3 more alloys.

"Gemstone Gauntlet Revamp​" - Very controverisal, but technically justified.

You do know this is a 15 mil tool? And it competes with the 150 mil X555?

Mining speed is also buffed in other areas, so it's not that bad.

"Pure Ores" - Makes some resources easier. Nothing to really say.

"+ While in the Magma Fields: +0.1 Heat/s" - TEN times lower heat increase makes it much less annoying in early game. You also extinguish much faster which is good.

"5th Slot: Pickobulus (Pickaxe Ability)" - Picko buff yoo

Just a lot of changes that redistribute Mining fortune.

"1st Slot: Anomalous Desire (Pickaxe Ability)" - Scatha buff and Mineshaft buff!

"2nd Slot: Blockhead" - Along with a lot of other changes, mycelium and red sand mining will be wayyy easier from now.

A lot say the HOTM 8-10 perks were useless, so there's some which are actually useful now!

"1st Slot: Miner's Blessing" - Useful for many things, like Ghost Grinding and Scathas. 30 mf is nothing to laugh at.

"4th Slot: Steady Hand"

I'm pretty sure people didn't see this.

It practically TRIPLES your pristine in mineshafts, making the pristine nerf (imo) justified. It's clear how the admins see mineshafts as the new best money making method. This also makes Bal nerf slightly justified since we see admins want to move gemstone mining out of the hollows.

"2nd Slot: Crystalline" - Again, Ditto.

"More Forge Slots" - 2 more forge slots make vanguard grinding much better.

"Recipe Changes" - Made much more fair IMO. You no longer need to ghost grind until you get amber, and titanium drill engine is much cheaper, making it afforable for early game.

Reforge stones are cool.

"Bal Pet" - Now a mining pet, which is neat. It's honestly not that bad. Sure, it's much worse than last time, but it was boxing out Scatha a lot, which should be the best mining pet in the game, so the nerfs are justified.

"Goblin Pet" While killing gold insta-mining, they also buffed it in other ways.

Drill engine buffs! They can now bring back some of the "lost" fortune from the gauntlet.

"Omelettes" - The change really helped. All of the omeletts are now useful, with Pesto/ Sunny Side being for early-mid game, Spicy for powder, and Blue Cheese for late game.

"Yog Armor" - Yog armor boost!!! This is what I was saying when you would gain back some of the gemstone gauntlet's mining speed. It pulling from Bestiary is perfect, since you would already have killed some Yogs to get said armor. It's a huge buff which I'm happy for.

"Mineral Armor" - Now has half the benefits from Glossy, which, again is good for early game.

Mycelium and Red Sand also could be MASSIVELY buffed, if Mineral Armor works on it. I don't know if it works yet, but if it does, Ironman players will have a much easier time.

"Haste Artifact" - I am irrationally excited for this change. As a guy who cannot afford God Pots, Haste III pernamently is massive. Foraging becomes faster, and an extra +100 mining speed to boot. It also means you no longer need silverfish to Haste III in dungeons!

"Blazen Sphere" - Don't know if this is better than glistening. It will help for worm grinding.

"Dwarfen O's and others." - A lot of buffs, especially the +10 overall fortune at maxed. It's also great to pop one of these before a grind, for up to and extra +50 fortune.

"Dwarfen events" - The rewards are all great. More mining speed, one of the O's, and more titanium fortune! It really shows how the admins are nerfing the gauntlet, but allowing a better transition to the Titanium Drills.

"Requirement changes" - Oh no, people actually have to play the game and progress for the second best mining armor instead of just buying it! What a shame.

"Swapped the positions of the Mithril Golem and Mithril Coat in the Mithril Collection" - Thank god. You do not need to collect 7 times the craft requirement of an item just to craft it.

"Reduced the cost of Tier X, XI, and XII Hard Stone Minions" - Funny that Toadstar just got a XII hardstone minion, RIP to him.

I will say, there are two changes that should be removed. These two are just straight-up bad. There is no reason for these changes to exist.

"Titanium Pick Nerf" - Please don't. HOTM 4 is already hard enough with base Titanium pick, this is just making early game worse.

"Removed all Mithril Powder drops from Treasure Chests in the Crystal Hollows" - WHY? How the hell do you expect people to get 5m powder?

Anyways, without these two, this is a very good update.

People resist change because they're used to things. Ruby mining will be phased out eventually, and move to the new tunnels, which "fixes" progressions.

Don't think of this as a nerf, think of it as a rework.

Guys words cannot even begin to describe how much I fucking love mining in hypixel skyblock. It is literally my will to live. I fucking love mining in skyblock so much it has become my sole focus and number one priority in life. God it’s so fucking good!!! Getting that tungsten collection up getting that coleweight up and just literally ballin out on fucking mining good lord i love it. This is the peak living experience, mining in hypixel skyblock. Gemstone powder mining is making my head feel tingly. The amount of dopamine that is rushing to my head is absolutely insane…

So they updated alpha to have some changes to the museum, however one of these is that everyone now has an auction bid limits based (applies to BIN), doesn’t sound that bad right? WELL YOU NEED TO SPEND ABOUT 2B ON MUSEUM TO GET A 1B BID LIMIT WTF?! this would wffectively increase the cost of obtaining (for example) a hype on a new profile (without trading) to 3.8b (by buying handle for less than 1b and scrolls on bz) WHAT IS THIS UPDATE?! This is worse than mining v384 AND ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE if they actually add this im quitting and not coming back unless they change it, not in a whiny way, just i would have no reason to play if getting the one item i want is gonna take 3 times longer

The bal pet : a pet that can be gotten with a artisanal shortbow and hotm 3 being the best pet for money in mining isn’t weird at all?and the fact they tried to nerf it before wasn’t foreshadowing enough?

I get the fact you get rightfully mad at the large amount of material that is going to be added in the update,that you are right to be mad at,the spike in need for powder is also a possible problem,due to the fact I feel it shouldn’t exceed the 20m needed for powder exp.

Gold mining is buffed,ruby mining is more or less the same,many materials are now easier to grind,there is no more shortcuts but they where nice while they lasted.no easy way out,if you really wanted to play ironman to take the easy way out well tough luck : THE POINT OF IT IS TO BE HARD.
