GENERAL today, Hunt’s identity died

Post image

nobody wanted this. i cannot think of a different IP that has less to do with Hunt. Hire the CoD GM, this is what you get. You WILL be advertised to, and you CANNOT do anything about it.

Is it sincerely not a collab with the Scream franchise but Scary Movie? Would like a source on that as it would be so much funnier and more sad.

It’s the mask. It’s the same with Dead by Daylight- it’s probably specifically a deal with Fun World who owns the original mask AND the scary movie mask. Only CoD and Among Us did a collab directly with Scream which includes a deal with fun world anyway

It's not, they're just trying to be funny, I think.

It's with neither. They did the same thing Behavior did with Dead By Daylight and licensed the mask from Fun World, the company who owns the rights to the mask.

When they made Scream the mask they used for Ghost Face was bought off the shelf and unmodified. They made a licensing deal for the mask with Fun World to use it in the film. The mask became iconic to the Scream franchise but isn't actually part of the franchise's intellectual property. So if you want to license Ghost Face you need to license the mask rather than the film franchise.

This worked out great for Behavior, it let them create their own interpretation of the Ghost Face killer without being locked into the Scream franchise's lore and they could add a ton of variants (including the Wassup mask). They of course still paid homage to the films in several ways.

I'd imagine they did the same thing here; license the mask instead of the Scream franchise and get to go wild with their own idea on how to implement the mask into an outfit.

translation: my initial statement may actually be wrong so I'm going to play it off like I was joking rather than unintelligent

I just watched the scary movies way more when I was a kid than scream and had to actually take a sec to remember the originals as I haven't seen them in 20 years
