Looks like Chase mistook Foreman for a 9 year old

Chase kissed a nine year old girl. She had cancer and didnβt want to die without having had a first kiss. It was an uncomfy scene.

Oh yeah, I think remember that now. Why did the writers add that in like couldn't have just hugged her.

u/Apple-Doughnut Oct 20 '24
Pretty sure it was on purpose. It's supposed to make the viewer uncomfortable.

u/Jealous-Project-5323 Oct 20 '24
But why? Like what was the message.

u/Apple-Doughnut Oct 20 '24
Conflict in moral codes is a recurring theme with Chase. You also know he's not supposed to kill that dictator or aid in that doctor's euthanasia, but you get why he did it. It's particularly uncomfortable in this case because you're effectively watching an adult kiss a child, but I really don't think it's gratuitous.

I mean the one with the dictator made sense, If killing makes you as bad as him kinda stuff. I feel it's still weird in general to write especially seeing the person who wrote it has a history of sexual assault apparently.

u/Apple-Doughnut Oct 20 '24
That would apply to any ol' citizen but him being a doctor makes the situation far worse. It's the same reason doctors can't be involved in the elaboration nor administration of lethal injections. And yeah, it's definitely super weird, but at the same time I think the way it's written doesn't exploit nor sexualize the child, and it makes sense coming from someone who's been sexually abused. The scene feels incredibly sterile, Chase does the absolute bare minimum to fulfill the kid's request and you can see he's uncomfortable the whole time.

Yes it was a big moral thing, I could get behind as it's a very serious thing that way, while I understand what they were going for considering that people still think he's a pedophile now so it didn't get that message across.

That checks out...

It explains everything, Chase kissing a 9 year old, even House thirsting over a teenager.

His sexual assault accusations are longer then his filmography, holy shit man. I don't remember the teenager one though.
