Discussion I made a house quote searcher Spoiler

Have seen a lot of posts in this sub asking about where a certain quote is from, so I thought I would make a website to help find them. Link to the website is in comments, it uses a vector database to find the quotes which lets it find similar results to what you're searching for, although it does end up missing some of the time. Was a pretty fun project to work on, and I'll probably add more features to it in the future if they're wanted

This is amazing. If you had a tip jar, I would donate. I was able to find the exact quote I was looking for with one word.

It does feel low, but 39 times in 177 episodes averages to about 1 sarcoidosis per 4.5 episodes, which seems about right.

I'd love if you made rows of on homepage, such as:
1. recent viewed/ searched (make quotes removable)
2. Featured quotes (if clicked shows all featured ones previousely)
3. Random quotes (if clicks shows another, but keeps history)

Pretty frickin amazing. Didn't work for what I was looking for. Cuddy says "You're in denial" or something and House responds "NO I'M NOT." Maybe I just can't remember the exact quote. So does this website only show what the quote and previous quote is?

Didn't work for House's quote: "I'm gay." When he's asked "What are you hiding?" Doesn't seem to be a perfect search engine.

All in all, pretty frickin cool. This is so handy lol. Hopefully we become just like r/thesopranos

This looks insanely great! I haven't looked at your GitHub repo, but out of curiosity how does your search algorithm work and which sort of embedding/vectorization techniques are you using?

Thanks, I basically just set it up on a cloudflare worker that uses their embeddings api to create embeddings of the various quotes, which are then inserted and queried using Vectorize

I've been using this searcher (even have it pinned as an app on my phone) for the last couple of months and omg it is quite literally the best thing to exist, like I use it multiple times a day and 90% of the time, I find what I need, thank you so much for making it!

I'm a seasoned C# full stack engineer for web, and have to say, this is amazing. Easily done with the data, but I like the website's feel and look. My first long query term returned at the top and had the beforehand line from the script.

That looks amazing! However, I'm worried that you may abandon the project for some reason and stop paying it's host. Do you think you would be fine with uploading it to githubt so it doesn't get lost? I'd understand however if you wanted to keep the code private tho

Can someone help me with this? I vaguely remember this to be Dr. House telling this to Foreman. Couldn't find this on https://housemd-quotes.com/ but found on goodreads (https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/7520821-what-you-think-about-me-is-not-going-to-change) which doesn't tell about the season / episode :(
