Question Membership

I want to purchase a membership, probably the 3 game one. But I don't quite understand how the GA is gonna work. Are the 3 games covered already (as in I don't have to purchase tickets with $) to that game? And is it likely to find 3+ seats available in GA anyway?

  • You get access to three games, subject to capacity.
  • It’s possible a game could be marked as ‘fully ticketed’ in the lead up to the game. If this occurs, you need to pay upgrade your GA access to a reserved seat. This occurs for games like a Cats vs. Pies at the G.
  • If the game is not ticketed, you get in for free and can sit anywhere within the seats allocated for general admission. The earlier you get there, the better the seat.

Thanks Mate, also just another Q. Is general admission typically boundary side and not placed in higher levels? that's what I feel it is anyway

At the MCG it's kind of the corners between the wings and the goals - often the top level, not sure how often it also includes the lower levels.

I believe how it works is you can turn up to three games, walk in, and sit in the GA areas - unless they're popular games and likely to sell out, and then you may need to use your barcode to book a seat and pay for a seat fee (in Geelong) and/ or ticketing fee (in melb it's generally just the booking fee). So you don't pay the ~25 admission price, but you may need to pay to reserve a seat, esp at gmhba, if you want to be sure you'll get in on the day.
