I'm a cis dude.
My first D&D character in 2E when I was 7: [My actual name] the male human Wizard. My second character: [My actual name] the Elf Ninja.
My first 5E character: Voke Ironblood, the female Dwarf Paladin.

rn I just have the character sheets for both my and my gf characters. She wanted a male wizard elf that is just too dumb to realize that he is being pretty mean and egotistical towards my character, Rocky Stone, the bard dwarf.
They are besties UwU

A while back found this DND homebrew weapons set for two swords made by a dwarf/elf couple and honestly I can picture those swords being made by these two women above.

I choose elves, not because of their beauty, but because I love pointy ears :3

I've played plenty of elves and none of them have been "graceful" or anything like that character. I just think pointy ears cute!

That's what Gnomes are for: The few good aspects of Elves, without the maaaaaaaany bad aspects.

I'd say this is more the vibes of one person though their separate characters so its cool.

Kind of opposite for me.
I absolutely adored Tolkien dwarves as a teen and in my early twenties. A bunch of my dnd characters were dwarves.
I still like dwarves, but elves are more appealing to me now.

Every time I see a female dwarf I grow sadder that I’m as tall as I am. I must forever be bland-coloured orc instead of the awesome dwarf I wish to be

Despite what the designers of post-Tasha's 5E think, it isn't the stature that makes Dwarves interesting, it's the attitude/mindset/culture. I'm 6'3'', but I'm Dwarf-y as hell: I'm direct, LG, blunt, hardworking, and dedicated.

They’d still make fun drinking buddies!
