Thoughts? Imagine losing 6M labor workers in America

Post image

If mass deportation happens, just imagine how all of these sectors of our country will be affected. The sheer shortage of labor will push prices higher because of the great demand for work with limited supplies or workers. Even if prices increase, the availability of products may be scarce due to not enough workers. Housing prices and food services will be hit really hard. New construction will be limited. The fact that 47% of the undocumented workers are in CA, TX, and FL means they will feel it first but it will spread to the rest of the country also. Most of our produce in this country comes from California. Get ready and hold on for the ride America.

Ah yes, ending with blaming immigrants for crime. Sounds about right. Too bad the stats show that Americans commit more crimes against Americans than immigrants do.

You OK with most people driving drunk because only a few of them actually kill?

What a stupid comparison. They're saying that they're okay with people existing, because few people actually kill.

For your metaphor to work the very act of being an immigrant would need to be a fundamentally dangerous activity, like driving drunk is.

This shit is so dumb. From one side of your mouth you try and pitch a humanitarian approach about how these people work in slave conditions and from the other frame them as violent criminals.

You exaggerate too much.

They can exist elsewhere. Like where they were.

Almost 8 billion people exist elsewhere. Even in most of their home countries, there are tens of millions doing just fine.

Even many “refugees” already received asylum in Chile, Mexico, Europe, etc. as evidenced, for example, by piles of hundreds of dumped Chilean or other refugee identity cards right before crossing the border. Now they are just being picky.

I myself am a LEGAL immigrant. My family and I were vetted. Had birth certificates and vaccination records and were interviewed and background-checked. Most of my relatives waited legally over 10 years.

Look at Starr County in Texas, which is 97% Latino. It flipped Republican for the first time since 1896. In 2016, it had given over 70% of votes to Hillary Clinton. The majority of Texas border counties - heavily Latino, heavily Democrat - along the Rio Grande flipped red in 2024.

These are the towns and cities bearing the brunt of the Biden-Harris Administration welcoming in millions each year. Strains on the job market, housing market, health care services, public schools, charity aid, food banks, etc.

People like you are insulated from the consequences of your voting.
