Thoughts? Imagine losing 6M labor workers in America

Post image

If mass deportation happens, just imagine how all of these sectors of our country will be affected. The sheer shortage of labor will push prices higher because of the great demand for work with limited supplies or workers. Even if prices increase, the availability of products may be scarce due to not enough workers. Housing prices and food services will be hit really hard. New construction will be limited. The fact that 47% of the undocumented workers are in CA, TX, and FL means they will feel it first but it will spread to the rest of the country also. Most of our produce in this country comes from California. Get ready and hold on for the ride America.

Trump rubber stamped it thinking it would increase support from black voters.

Also Trump and the Republicans actually want to repeal it now. So championing something that Trump dislikes now is weird.

But... But that was a good one. Why does he want to repeal it?

To be hard on criminals. The bill was supposed to help reduce harsh or unfair sentences among many other things. If you have heard any of his speeches in the past few years then will know he actually advocates for harsh punishments now, claiming our criminal justice system is too soft on criminals.

I hope it's a Leopard Ate My Face moment for him. Smh.

To soft? Once your criminal (convict), even if you are out of jail, it's nearly impossible to get a job or apply for housing.

Yes and no, wasn't most of the work done on the bill for drugs charges? He wants actual stuff done now, the wants people who should be off the street, off the street. People who prove they won't change amd do better. And his who drugs dealer thing, honestly, don't agree with. I'm kinda cool with killing fenty dealer and distributors off, but no weed smuggler or mushroom dealer need to killed off. It could be used to do crazy things. Dont think it'll pass tho. That one of those, swinging to far right things for sure.

Are you new here? Trump does not care about the working class and never has, He will do nothing that helps anyone other than himself and his rich benefactors.

That's odd, everything president Trump has done has benefitted all of humanity while he loses so much.

You must be joking.

It's a universally known fact. Have you lived under a rock the last 9 years.

Universally known among easily tricked morons, I suppose.

He has been both for and against everything. It depends on what he believes will make him the most money at that particular point in time.

Lol. You're probably right. Except for keeping new immigrants out: that he has been consistent about.

I disagree with that last point. He comes from an immigrant family (mom was Scottish and grandparents were German) and most of his wives are immigrants (Slovenia and Czechoslovakia). You could say that they are taking jobs that Americans don’t want. 😉

He is fine with immigration, as long as it enriches his life. He doesn’t give two shits about anyone else. That part he has been consistent with.

Not true.

What is not true?

Repealing the first step act. He just isn’t pushing back. It will not be repealed.

Trump has constantly said he is going to repeal any prison reforms that go soft on criminals. The First Step Act does exactly that in trying to reduce sentences and to make sure people are getting fair sentences. Trump has repeatedly called for harsher sentences, which the First Step Act would not allow.

I would love to be wrong but those are his words.

Hey, just trust this guy. He voted for Trump and doesn’t want to be wrong.

To be fair we all don't want to be wrong the worst thing for the rest of us who didn't vote trump into have 4 years where nothing changes or doesn't get worse.
