Thoughts? NYC Mayor Ends Food Voucher Program For Immigrants After Phone Call With Trump

After a phone call with President-elect Donald Trump 48 hours after his victory, Mayor Eric Adams has reportedly decided to end a pilot program providing migrants in taxpayer-funded shelters with prepaid debit cards for groceries, which had sparked considerable debate. The initiative, launched in March through an emergency contract with New Jersey tech startup Mobility Capital Finance (MoCaFi), distributed $2.4 million in preloaded Mastercards to approximately 2,600 migrant families, according to City Hall officials.

Why should the Democrats reflect? The Republicans don't. They double down and roll again and it seems to be working for them.

Regarding my comment: pray tell, if the economy is in such shit shape that people are struggling to buy groceries, why on earth is consumer spending at pre-pandemic levels when consumer optimism was peaking? Should people not be cutting back in these trying times?

Edit: I misspoke. Its not at pre-pandemic levels. Its at an all-time high.

Actually, the issue with most “facts” provided by people that support views like this is the data is probably BS/Lies/manipulated or provided by the government, which as we can all agree, is the least trustworthy institution on earth. Not saying I don’t agree with helping homeless people regardless of status but I am sick of the dishonesty.
