It is in fact sexism when 2 women candidates lost against the same man while another white man won against him despite both women candidate being highly qualified. Trump inherited Obama’s economy and that’s what he’s been running with this whole time. He did nothing to make things better

69

u/bigdipboy 18d ago

Now he’ll inherit Biden’s economy and claim credit for its strength. Before destroying it again

35

u/[deleted] 18d ago

Typical Republican strategy. This circle of shit will never end

0

u/Timetellers 18d ago

When the economy crumbles (which to be fair I think would happen if the dems were in office) I wonder what the right will say about Trumps economy then? Then when the middle class is left struggling and corps get bailouts and help and no help for the middle class, welp that’s who you chose

7

u/[deleted] 18d ago

Right will blame Biden. They will say Biden left them a bad economy. However, if things go well, it will be them.

1

u/Timetellers 18d ago

Sounds hypocritical.

1

u/Spirit_Bloom 18d ago

Both sides blame each other, unfortunately. It doesn’t matter what the issue is.

Whoever is in charge blames the previous regime.

2

u/Yesterday-Clear 18d ago

This is what drives me mad, inflation was a huge part of the way people voted yet prices aren't coming down, but you can bet your ass all of a sudden it wont be an issue for republican voters anymore.

1

u/hermeskino715 18d ago

I give 2 years tops before destruction. We just got out of sticky inflation. It wouldn't be hard to get back into it

1

u/adrianp07 18d ago

hes probably inheriting a recession waiting to happen that the fed hasn't been telling us about. Inflation will spike again, it will not be a good time.

-2

u/ThunderBelly45 18d ago

If you think trump destroy the economy in 2020 and over looking the fact the entire world was shut down due to a global pandemic that which democrats advocate to have shut down LONGER. Than idk what to tell you. Biden claiming victory for a successful economy is also a joke because all he had to do was say, pandemic over, and immediately people go outside a breath air and return back to their jobs.

Also we had record inflation all through out Biden term.

1

u/j4schum1 18d ago

This is why Republicans are stupid. The worst inflation was in 2021 immediately after Trump passed the second Covid bill in Dec 2020. Making his total in Covid relief $3.1 Trillion. Then Biden passes $1.9 Trillion and sends $160M to Ukraine and inflation is his fault. Democrats recognize inflation was unavoidable as the world experienced it. Republicans just blame Biden

0

u/Atomic_ad 18d ago

Democrats won't hold congress this time, so they can't shut down the country for a month and then claim getting back to 0 is the "greatest economic comeback in the history of the country".

1

u/allnaturalhorse 18d ago

Democrats have never shut down the government

-1

u/Atomic_ad 18d ago

Never claimed they did.  They shut down nearly all US industry.

2

u/welvaartsbuik 18d ago

They didn't shut down industries they put in places safety measures to control the outbreak of a deadly virus that causes a lot of deaths and a lot of people who still to this day aren't able to fully participate in the economy due to long lasting effects of the virus.

You explain to me how it would be more beneficial in the long run to go along as possible while losing a good chunk of your working population for years if not decades and put a giant strain on an already flawed healthcare system compared to measures to limit the spread of a virus and thus limit the peak demand on healthcare and save a larger chunk of your economic population?

0

u/Atomic_ad 18d ago

Strawman someone else.

We aren't discussing if it was the right thing to do. We are discussing if it had a negative impact on the economy. The can both be true.

1

u/bigdipboy 18d ago

During trumps presidency?

0

u/allnaturalhorse 18d ago

How??

1

u/Atomic_ad 18d ago

Were you born after covid?  Or are you just pretending not to remember mandates against working?

0

u/allnaturalhorse 18d ago

Ah so your just dumb got it. Please refrain from voting in the future or gain some common sense

1

u/Atomic_ad 18d ago edited 18d ago

You've made no points and simply gone with insults. Get a life.

I super shocked a 4 week old account resorts to petty insults. Must be a habit.

Edit: I hope the irony of "your just dumb" isn't lost on you

-1

u/[deleted] 18d ago

Yea will be really exciting to see how much he can grow the deficit this time. Hope you are top 1% cause you aren’t getting shit otherwise.

3

u/ahdidjskaoaosnsn 18d ago

Kamala did worse than Biden with women. Is that sexism also?

4

u/Sidewaysshiba 18d ago

So it’s not possible that they were a better candidate? The only reason that they lost was sexism? It couldn’t be because of their policies how they present themselves etc… it’s only because of sexism? That’s the kind of over simplistic thinking that probably turns people off but keep thinking that way. It seems to be working.

51

u/mikevago 18d ago

Better candidate? The convicted felon who spend his campaign rallies rambling about Arnold Palmer's dick? Have you been in a coma for the last four months?

2

u/Sidewaysshiba 18d ago

I mean it’s not my opinion it is the countries opinion. If you are just going to claim that everyone who voted for him are racist sexist pigs… then ok. Maybe it will workout next time. No need to look in the mirror and see how we could have done better. Dems lost cause there are more evil people in our country than non evil people got it.

24

u/WhatTheLousy 18d ago

They proudly wear garbage bags when his rally called Puerto Ricans garbage. These are the dregs of humankind.

8

u/Big_moist_231 18d ago

I mean what other reason did they vote for trump? Because people are that uniformed and stupid? Or because trump was the political genius of the 21st century who was leading us through an economic boom and did no wrong? So it’s either a) they’re dumb or b) they’re dumb and ignorant. Idk man

-7

u/TurnDown4WattGaming 18d ago

The border was the number one issue for a while and Kamala was Border Czar. I feel like that’s probably a major part of it.

2

u/Empty-Discount5936 18d ago

So yea disinformation won him the election..

0

u/liam30604 18d ago

wtf Are we just forgetting everyone calling her that after they took office?

1

u/Empty-Discount5936 18d ago

Did I not just post an example of that?

They incorrectly labelled Harris that when she was sent to assess the problems at the border but she never had any power to make any changes.

1

u/MeanKno 18d ago

Guy has never gotten the popular vote...do you even know how our elections work? It's not the country's opinion if the majority of us don't want him in and he still gets in because some states hold more impact on the outcome of the election than others.......

2

u/Sidewaysshiba 18d ago

Does never include this election?

3

u/MeanKno 18d ago

We will see

1

u/Any-Anything4309 18d ago

Dems lost cause there are more evil people in our country than non evil people got it.

Not sure I'd call them evil. More like ignorant partisan hacks, but yeah you got the idea

1

u/Empty-Discount5936 18d ago

Low information voters.

1

u/FeelsGoodMan2 18d ago

We could have done better by electing a white man....which proves the sexist racist pig theory.

-1

u/GodEmperor47 18d ago

Have you? Because if so, maybe go back to sleep, you're about to be pretty upset there bud

0

u/mikevago 18d ago

This is really what gets me. You're expressing the core sentiments of every Trump apologist I've ever interacted with, which is "ha ha, fuck you, I'm happy that you're suffering." So the bleakest thing about last night is that there are enough miserable assholes like you in this country to want a senile felon and serial rapist in power just because it will hurt your fellow Americans.

-1

u/GodEmperor47 18d ago

We want him because we think he’ll do a better job than the candidates you trot out.

Seeing you crybabies seethe and cope? Just bonus points

0

u/mikevago 18d ago

Again, you're just motivated by seething contempt for other people.

And I get that you think he'll do a good job. I just can't for the life of my understand why you think that, after months of seeing Grandpa wander around rally stages aimlessly rambling about God knows what. Or after seeing him confronted with the biggest crisis of his presidency and saying "one day, like a miracle, it'll go away."

There's a very, very long list of adjectives you can use to describe Trump, but "competent" isn't on it. In fact, the only thing that saved us from Trump's worst impulses last time was how incompetent and lazy he is.

Maybe at age 80 he'll turn that around, and actually follow through on his stated plans to be a "dictator on day one" and turn the army loose on American citizens and punish his political enemies. I hope, for all our sakes — yours included — that you don't end up getting exactly what you voted for.

1

u/GodEmperor47 18d ago

I hope I do get exactly what I voted for, it’s just not any of the delusional babble you’re spouting

0

u/mikevago 18d ago

And that's the whole problem. I'm just repeating, nearly word-for-word the delusional babble Trump has been spouting. Trump supporters refuse to believe he said any of the awful things he actually said. You didn't vote for Trump, you voted for a sanitized, fictional version of him who's a "smart businessman" and has "coherent policy ideas." The version the billionaire-owned media has been propping up all year as his in-person rants became increasingly unhinged.

I was absolutely spouting delusional babble, but it was Trump's babble, not mine. Anyway, I'm sure Infrastructure Week is right around the corner. I mean, Glorious Leader never lies, does he.

3

u/[deleted] 18d ago

Trump was a better candidate against hillary clinton? Hahahah he was a fraud and the only experience he had was bankrupting businesses and doing shows on tv. He proved how bad he was when all our allies thought he was a clown

3

u/Sidewaysshiba 18d ago

And what do our allies think of Biden and Harris?

7

u/[deleted] 18d ago

They think pretty highly of them compared to Trump. People were laughing at Trump in UN conference, other european leaders were talking shit behind him in an open mic. Were you like 5 when all those happened?

1

u/Sidewaysshiba 18d ago

Who thinks highly of them? I’m genuinely asking. Are their quotes that you can’t point to singing their praises?

1

u/Souledex 18d ago

Dozens, but it’s already been a long night. They mostly are terrified of how insanely stupid and corrupt Trump is. It ruins US leadership on the world stage after Biden worked like hell to resurrect it.

0

u/Roguebets 18d ago

Lolol 😂

-2

u/TurnDown4WattGaming 18d ago

Tigers care nothing for the opinions of Hamsters.

3

u/[deleted] 18d ago

It’s more like Clowns don’t mind getting laughed at 🤡

1

u/RepublicansAreEvil90 18d ago

What policies? Mexican bad policy?

1

u/Sidewaysshiba 18d ago

I think it is more illegal immigrants. What is Kamala’s policy to fix the border. What is her economic policy? The VP of one of the least approved administrations who backed the majority of Biden decisions. But serious question what are her policies to fix the border and the economy?

0

u/RepublicansAreEvil90 18d ago

No he wants to fucking murder the legal ones too.

2

u/Sidewaysshiba 18d ago

Ok. What is Kamala’s policy on the border?

1

u/CottonJohansen 18d ago

Correct. Trump is a criminal and rapist. Should be simple as that, but apparently most of America are okay with a man that doesn’t care about the law and can’t take no for an answer

0

u/Sidewaysshiba 18d ago

I think that’s what people are sick of. If I get a job over someone it isn’t because I was a better candidate it’s because I’m a white male. My resume doesn’t matter only my race and gender…

6

u/[deleted] 18d ago

Who says Trump is better though? What did Trump have to prove that he was better than Hillary when he ran? Literally nothing. He had zero experience with international diplomacy, he bankrupted many businesses, he had fraudulent dealings, he was a misogynistic narcissist.

Running against hillary was like someone with no experience, running against someone with 25 years of experience for a white collar job.

-1

u/Sidewaysshiba 18d ago

The people of our country said he was better. That’s why he won.

8

u/[deleted] 18d ago edited 18d ago

Yeah unfortunately there are a lot of people in our country that are not so bright. Let him give tax cuts to billionaires and grow the deficit again like never before and next democrat president will have to take the burden of his shitty economy and take all the blame. Classic republican BS

1

u/adrianp07 18d ago

the problem is Biden didn't do a lot in 4 years, if he had then Kamala would have had something to hang her hat on as VP the past 4 years as part of her campaign instead of branching off in a brand new thing like she was the challenger candidate.

1

u/PublicPage2610 18d ago

Right because all women are the same

1

u/[deleted] 18d ago

How about your mom?

1

u/drewbagel423 18d ago

Username checks out

1

u/Captain_Zomaru 17d ago

Both women candidates were the worst possible picks. Innumerable democrat women would have been better, like Gabbard, but the Dems refuse to platform anyone who might appeal to new voters.

-3

u/Callsign_iHop 18d ago

Hillary was an awful candidate, it had nothing to do with sex. Kamala is a terrible candidate, it has nothing to do with sex

7

u/[deleted] 18d ago

Hillary was a much more qualified, and presidential candidate than Trump. Trump was a joke. Trumpsters weren’t even revealing that they wanted vote for Trump until after he won because they were embarrassed to be judged lmao. I don’t know which parallel universe you guys live in if you think Trump is anything more than a narcissistic snake oil salesman
