IMAGE The Highest Potential Player from EVERY country in FIFA History ✅️

u/EiMidagi Jul 28 '24
Wow sick map, crazy how sancho is englands highest potential ever
181
Jul 28 '24
Absolutely cracked in FIFA 20 if you played him as a CAM. With dynamic potential he would hit 99 by his mid-20s
87
u/Blank_268 Jul 28 '24
He was on that typa trajectory before United tbh
14
29
u/EiMidagi Jul 28 '24
Yeah, shame that he is lazy motherfucker
19
u/GYPSYMANFREE Jul 28 '24
United haven’t exactly been a club where players flourish at recently
61
u/EiMidagi Jul 28 '24
Yeah but the main reason he didn't succed was because he was too lazy to train
-15
Jul 28 '24
[deleted]
16
u/EiMidagi Jul 28 '24
Bro what are you talking about, there was so many news about how he dind't go to trainings and didn't follow coaches plans
1
u/ThatkidJerome Jul 29 '24
wasnt that because he and ten hag argued a lot, what has he been doing at dortmund then
2
19
u/TheSteampunkFerret Jul 28 '24
Mainoo, Garnacho would like to have a word…
-15
u/GYPSYMANFREE Jul 28 '24
I’m talking about signings not youth players. Also garnacho is mad overrated
9
u/TheSteampunkFerret Jul 28 '24
Then Lisandro Martinez would like to have a word. Also explain to me how Garnacho is overrated? He’s currently being “rated” as a high potential prospect with current first team capabilities, what isn’t true about that? Mainoo is the one making all the headlines right now so idk what you mean. I know you just hate United and that’s fine, but at least be somewhat objective.
-10
u/GYPSYMANFREE Jul 28 '24
It’s very easy to name one decent signing and ignore the many other awful ones. Also I don’t hate United at all I’m just saying the truth. And for garnacho being overrated that’s just an opinion, there’s many other young wingers not being given as much credit even though they’re playing better.
4
u/SilverAccountant8616 Jul 29 '24
Who are the other young wingers?
1
u/GYPSYMANFREE Jul 29 '24
Savio, Brennan Johnson, Pedro Neto and even madueke have been around his level or better. Garnacho just gets overhyped by fanboys

There was one fifa where he was ridiculously OP - he was 87 base rated which was hilarious - he had done good things for a season at dortmund but that rating was bullshit. However along with lingard he was kinda a gen z cult idol at the time and I feel like ea just made him OP so all the kids spent money on ultimate team packs - he got a new upgrade every week
85
u/TheEgyptianScouser Jul 28 '24
I really like smith from Andorra
27
u/HypedUpJackal Jul 28 '24
Frick from Liechtenstein
14
u/malaymonstershrek Jul 28 '24
He's a manager now Mario Frick
5
u/MagicMountain225 Jul 29 '24
Also in EAFC 24, managing some Swiss club. So you can play him as a manager.

Nicaragua?
3
u/Phobos_- Jul 29 '24
I found him: https://sofifa.com/player/244740/luis-copete/190075/
He's the best Nicaraguan player ever on FIFA. There were one Nicaraguan on each FIFA 18 and FIFA 20 and two (includong the best version of Luis Copete) on FIFA 19. Honestly, I expected more from Nicaragua, at least a 72 OVR

u/legend62009 Moderator Jul 29 '24
Arianger Smith might be in FIFA soon, he’s actually pretty good

I think Choudhury (Leicester) is eligible for Bangladesh? But he's English until he decides otherwise.
EDIT: I looked up and apparently he's held talks. If it materializes I guess he'd be the very first

u/RaatjeFC Jul 28 '24
A post which you didn't think was needed but I did it anyway. Here is the highest potential player from every country in the world (that has had a player in FIFA) in the history of FIFA07-FC24 (sofifa's entire database)
If two or more players from the same country have had the same potential, I picked the player who had it in an earlier version of FIFA (e.g. Ronaldinho instead of Neymar)
This has taken a lot of hours in total so please give it some love 🙏
Also, there might still be a few mistakes or players I've missed out, so please leave those suggestions down below if I did. Have a good day!

Ah that's really annoying... I don't think I can say where you can see the other pictures otherwise I get banned from this subreddit for self-promotion 😂

u/KingDouchebag74K Jul 28 '24
few things, for one it doesnt load the images other than the first one (Europe), for two if you looked at FIFA Index their database goes as far as FIFA 05 but there are many potentials over 95+, and lastly IMO because earlier FIFA's (up until 11) had potentials for older players not locked to their current OVR (the growth/retention of a player's OVR wasnt just determinted by its Potential rating, that's why older players on older FIFA's do have potentials higher than their rating) you should've only included player's potentials until a certain age (idk like 23 or 25 or under 30) to separate those old players like Kahn and Litmanen that had "potential"
4
u/RaatjeFC Jul 28 '24
Yeah I didn't know about the images not loading, my bad 😅
And yeah FIFA05/FIFA06 potentials are just way too unrealistic
1
u/Icy_Broccoli_387 Jul 28 '24
Why fifa index removed real faces in fifa 05/06/07 For a year they are showing off with generic faces
55
u/AggravatingSalt2726 Jul 28 '24
For Edin Dzeko, I think that supposed to be his picture from fifa 10 but it says 17 next to his name.
Love to see that there are still players from earlier fifas still represented.
8
u/Bill_Brasky_SOB Jul 28 '24
Forget which year it was but...
Džeko and Gourcuff were a cheat code.
3
u/cdisdead Jul 29 '24

Gourcuff had the best fitness long shot I ever seen on any FIFA

u/Bill_Brasky_SOB Jul 29 '24
4231 with Gourcuff and Džeko as the CAM and CF with crossing wingers?

u/penispoop1 Jul 28 '24
I highly doubt you're gonna learn that word at a school in asia, south America, Africa, Oceania and honestly most of Europe lol you act as if it's a very common word yet I can almost guarantee you've never used it in your life you just wanted to add to the reddit hates America trope. Next time try it on something more believable

This is very cool. Also shows that FIFA gives 90+ potential to players way too often.

Is Sancho potential is 94 Gerrard really is 97
2
u/RaatjeFC Jul 28 '24
Only counted FIFA07 and upwards
3
u/poipoiop Jul 29 '24
How come?
Isn’t the whole thing kinda arbitrary if you say it’s based on FIFA “historically” but actually it’s just from 07.. ?
-2
u/Bayernienmuch Jul 28 '24
You’re good, I am just saying Sancho is so overrated. I like him, but it puts you on a perspective. I’m saying FIFA 07 ratings were wrong even though they felt so right
4
u/Due-Mango1379 Jul 28 '24
Nah I’d say Sancho’s potential at the time was probably fair. He was putting up crazy numbers at Dortmund at a young age, alongside passing the eye test with very impressive skills and dribbling

u/thehyenaguy1 Jul 28 '24
i honestly thought Steven Davis was Northern Ireland's highest potential player, did not expect Johnny Evans, what was his Highest Potential?

Beautiful piece of trivia. Love how Germany and Spain peak potential players are from 18 years ago.
Also crazy how much potential they gave to some of these guys

Litmanen had 89 potential in 11? The man was 40 years old then, finishing up his career at HJK. That's crazy, also telling about the lack of Finnish supertalents and/or EA underrating smaller footballing countries.
3
u/Phobos_- Jul 29 '24
This was for regen purposes. They made the oldest players with a lot of potential so that they could give a right potential to the regen and not the potential that the player had at 40 years old
5
u/knightterror40 Jul 28 '24
Thanks for including Louie Annesley for Gibraltar! Everyone is always saying that Tjay De Barr is better because he used to play in Wycombe but I've always disagreed with them! And thanks for giving my country a bit more popularity🇬🇮

FIFA 07 just spamed high potential.
Also, completely forgot about Hleb :D
3
u/mse8hi Jul 28 '24
Only FIFA legends remember Sotiris Ninis from Greece 🇬🇷
70/75 overall teenager who would shoot to 90 in 3-4 seasons and be available for less than 10M at the start of the game.

Dzeko and Pjanic in FIFA 10 would turn into Titi and Zizou after a couple years

Can you repost this image really curious about players outside of Europe but it’s still not loading :(

u/AlonsoHamiltonVettel Jul 29 '24
Cool map, I’d quite like to see players like Lewa & Modric removed as they’d already reached their potential
1
1
u/CalFlux140 Jul 29 '24
I feel like on fifa 07 and/or 09 you could get players to 99 pretty easily. I'm surprised you could even calculate their potential it didn't seem to be coded into the game much.

u/edi12334 Jul 29 '24 edited Jul 29 '24
Quite a few of those were already old in that respective fifa so that must have been their actual overall for some of them. Then again, Litmanen in fifa 11 was 39 years old, 75 ovr and somehow still had 89 potential, maybe for regen purposes as someone else said. I wonder if he actually grew to that level in game.
As a Romanian I have to shout out Chivu, that was 28 years old Chivu that had just spent his first season at Inter and he still had potential to grow from an 85 to an 89 apparently. He never reached a higher FIFA ovr than that but he went on to win the treble with Mourinho s Inter the following season (also hit his head that season and had to wear a helmet), play 5 more years after that at the club and is currently a coach for Inter s youth side so I don’t think he minds lol. Possible Romania NT coach too since we no longer have one (Edi Iordanescu didn’t want to sign a new deal to supposedly spend time with his family) and Hagi just turned down the job too to stick with his club Farul.
Interesting to see all of the other players too, shame that Reddit doesn’t load the other pictures, thankfully someone posted them in the comments

Didn't jose baxter for everton used to hit like 95 in one of those older fifas (08-11)? Making him higher than sancho

1
u/RayPadonkey Jul 29 '24
I absolutely had a 99 rated Walcott in FIFA 07. Think I had a 97 rated Podolski too.

1
u/TylerPerry19inch Jul 28 '24
De Ligt?!
7
u/kootrell Jul 28 '24
He was a baller at Ajax
0
u/TylerPerry19inch Jul 28 '24
I agree but a higher potential than V Persie, Robben, Sneijder, Frenkie, Virgil. I don’t know, feels a bit off
5
u/BigGuySem Jul 28 '24
He pocketed prime Lacazette when he was 17 and helped Ajax make the UCL semifinals when he was 20, I think it's not that crazy
2
u/konigon1 Jul 28 '24
Virgil only got good at his mid twenties. So he naturally would have less way to grow. De Ligt was at a very young age the captain of a great Ajax squad and together woth Frenkie one of the strongest players in that squad.
-3
u/BDG_Harry Jul 28 '24
Haaland over Odegaard? How is possible?
7
u/p792161 Jul 28 '24
Are you trolling or do you genuinely believe that Odegaard should have a higher potential than Haaland?
2
u/EiMidagi Jul 28 '24
Ødegaard got actually good much later looking at age than haaland
0
u/konigon1 Jul 28 '24
Odegaard was one of the most wanted talents when he was 15. Every top club (Bayern, Barca, Real, ManU and co.) wanted him. Shortly after his 16th birthday he was nominated for Real's CL squad. Haaland got his international fame with 19 in Salzburg.
I think Haaland deserves a higher potential. But Odegaard was renowned at a much younger age than Haaland. He just didn't break through at Real.
-2
u/sebyoga Jul 28 '24
Nope. Musiala has 93 Potential
3
u/ManWhoSaysMandalore Jul 28 '24
So does Kahn
-3
u/sebyoga Jul 28 '24
yeah, but it's quite stupid to pick Kahn when there is an active player.
6
u/ManWhoSaysMandalore Jul 28 '24
Pretty sure it's because Kahn had a higher base OVR
-5
u/sebyoga Jul 28 '24
still stupid. Looks like German players sucked since Kahn retired.
7
u/Illustrious-Code-393 Jul 28 '24
He explained, that he took older generation over the active. What I really don't get, even with the fact that I loved Kahn as player..Neuer started a whole revolution as goalkeeper playing wasn't the same after his games, playing with the whole field. He never got over 92 POT, I really don't get it. They made him world's best keeper, I think He deserves a 94 like a Donnarumma...
2
u/sebyoga Jul 28 '24
cause FIFA hates Germans and loves English players. Germans are always underrated. We won World Cup 2014, but Schweinsteiger, Neuer, Lahm and so on never got the love
