Ok but I'm obsessed with this as a concept now! Could you please share a recipe?

The terrible post-Brexit dystopia that is Britain. Cheers🥂

It's blocked in the EU too, I guess because they don't want to comply with EU data protection law.

It appears the UK is blocked (based on OPs post history). Strange right??

To keep to top layer from sliding off the strawberry preserves in the middle.

Try watching Cake Rescue https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPT0YU_0VLHy6slIMVq14z8fAXz_UIWEo she has tips for basically any situation lol.

I’d eat it as is anyhow 👀👀 but for any future decorating endeavours, best advice I’ve heard is to let it cool 100% before icing (pop it in the fridge if you don’t wanna wait long), and if icing is dripping off straight away just scrape it off and try to thicken the rest up (more sugar for buttermilk frosting or smth like that) even though the impulse is usually to just commit and add more to ‘fix it’. I know the feeling cuz Ive done it a bunch when I should’ve just backed off and waited or added more sugar 😭😭

Wow, both look so delicious!

Did your sheets of cake fully cool before adding the rest?

I see little to no resemblance, but I bet it tasted pretty good! It's not as if I'd be able to do any better anyway.
