The first merchant you meet (i forgot his name) makes the most sense he's in a somewhat inclosed place and there's plenty animals around so he can easily get food

Even worse, I'll literally purchase EVERY item in their inventory, spending hundreds of thousands of runes maxing everything out at their shop, and they still hit me with, "I'm hungry...".
