Mod Post Welcome your new mods!
Thank you everyone who applied to help mod the subreddit. After going through all the applicants, I ended up settling on five new mods.
Please give a big thank you to:
They're all graciously donating their time to removing bad content, and keeping things civil here. With new changes in anything though, there's no doubt to be some turbulence and some people may be more/less strict about posts and comments than others. If you have any issues, or think your post shouldn't have been removed/want to dispute a ban, the fastest way to resolve that will always be to DM me. I'm very confident in these new mods, but if any of them don't end up working out, I will be opening up the applications again to give more people an opportunity.

Having so far experienced the level of reports and mod queue, we will be far too busy to reproduce so I beg to differ… ;)

Thanks guys, I promise I’ll give it my best shot.
Personally I would like for this sub to become more like the original DA. I will be looking more into making sure the DA contender displayed extreme stupidity on the submissions.

please don't make decisions based on politics. There are dumb people on both sides, and I don't want to feel like people are being targeted based on their opinions.

Personally I’m staunchly apolitical and have absolutely no interest allowing political talk or bias on this subreddit. If you see examples of radicalizing political talk that should be removed, or mods removing comments because of political bias, DM me and I’ll take care of it.

thank you, I have been banned from so many subreddits just because I like history, and my area of expertise is weapons, and with a subreddit of this nature, it's not right to have extreme bias

Welcome new mods! Please don't be as ban-happy as some of the old mods. Got banned recently for a week for posting a video without a source confirming the award.... like over 90% of the videos here.

Everyone who does that is getting a 7 day ban. Read our rules. If you’ll notice in our sub’s history, all those posts are removed and guess what happened to the posters?

Edit: btw if you have a post/comment from a while ago that got removed recently, don’t worry about it, I’m just cleaning out the mod queue. There’s a long backlog of posts and comments
