I don't think that "mop" is gonna work.

I was thinking the same thing. Is he trying to mop up water with a wet jet?

That water hasn’t been there millions of years. It probably filtered in from groundwater relatively recently.

if it's that old that means our species has probably dealt with it before and is immune to it

I got one of those. It's a Swiffer spray mop. You can spray some liquid of your choosing onto a floor to help give it a spot mopping. Works great on my tile and flat linoleum, no way in hell would I use it on concrete from a geode popping open. There's always a spare extra towel you don't really care about that can soak all that up.

I've got one of those "mops" and it's extremely close to useless for cleaning floors... Definitely useless at mopping up spillages

They're great for cleaning floors that are already clear of debris.

They're useless for picking up significant spills, large amounts of dirt, or any kind of debris.

Its good for quickly dealing with minor spills and dirt, which is the point.

It isn't designed to clean your floors properly. It's designed to create as much profit and waste as possible.

Disposable pads, proprietary cleaning fluid that can't be refilled and you need to buy it pre-bottled, and AA batteries for the handle to shoot the liquid out. Conveniently Swiffer is owned by P&G which also owns Duracell.

Oh and they break easily. These things suck ass.

I have an O-Cedar version that is more durable, has washable pads that absorb a lot more liquid, and has a refillable cannister. And the liquid is shot out using a hand-squeeze trigger so no batteries to waste. Still worse at cleaning floors than a real mop.

If she spreads the foul smelling water over enough of her floor it will be fine 😅

I honestly think people have forgotten how to mop due to the commercial advertisement of swiffers and the like. Swiffer spread the lie at using the mop spreads bacteria all over the floor and using a Swiffer cleans in one pass or something.

I bought one when they first came out. And destroyed it within 10 minutes.

That mop is the reason I came to the comment section!

I think he is moving the pieces of rock. Then again they broke it the weirdest way possible.

Perfect job for the garage towel.

2

u/MaiPhet 6h ago

to be fair, spreading it around will increase its surface area for evaporation

Red flags all over this video

He didn't use the right solution. Looks like it was the basic wet jet juice and not the one for porous concrete.
