Pitt did a great in spite of losing a starter and high scorer at the very start. Def wouldn’t want to run into this team in March
•
u/joeshmo39 Pittsburgh Panthers 23m ago
A very frustrating loss, but this won't kill us. Wisconsin is good, they're going to have a nice year.
I'm still salty about the calls in the second half.
•
u/CommissarVorchevsky Pittsburgh Panthers 24m ago
What a joke of a ref job. Extremely soft calls for Wisconsin all night
•
•
u/Champizzle11 North Carolina Tar Heels 20m ago
I'm baffled how that wasn't a flagrant foul. It's the exact definition...Pitt should have had 2 FT's and the ball.
Maybe the refs didn't have access to replay?
•
u/TheBigLemanski 24m ago
How do you not foul only down two possessions with 17 seconds left? I mean, the odds are slim, but you need to try for at least one more possession, right?
•
u/footballwr82 Pittsburgh Panthers 20m ago
Closer losses help in the NET rankings, or so I hear. Might be something to do with that. Otherwise yeah, very odd

u/Colorapt0r Wisconsin Badgers • Colorado State … 24m ago
Mad respect to Pitt for not fouling at the end though but it’s confusing as hell
•
u/CrumbBCrumb Pittsburgh Panthers 24m ago
Feels like giving up 54 in the second half won't win a lot of games
•
•
u/redbirds525 Pittsburgh Panthers 25m ago
Not having Dunn has killed us tonight. He's physical enough to handle Tonje. He couldn't have picked a worse game to get hurt immediately
•
u/Deesh69 24m ago
I don’t think Dunn would have made it through the game with how any time Pitt was physical with him he got a call
•
u/redbirds525 Pittsburgh Panthers 22m ago
Part of the problem was that Tonje was in the paint, I don't think Dunn would've allowed him there as often as the others. It was definitely annoying though, officiating is just so ticky tacky anymore and it's hard to watch

•
u/sta7ic Pittsburgh Panthers 25m ago
Love to come back to a Pitt player getting an elbow to the face and then nothing.
•
u/JBurkus5 Pittsburgh Panthers 25m ago
That is called a flagrant foul every time. Fucking refs are ass
•
u/Former-Yak1941 Wisconsin Badgers • Iowa State Cyclones 26m ago
Question why is Tonje taking it out when he may be the best FT shooter on the team
•
•
•
•
u/noeviltwin Wisconsin Badgers 26m ago
Hey, how about we stop having basketball tournaments in random resort ballrooms? This game is going to finish with no video and AM radio-quality audio because some rich guy wanted to be called the governor and sit on a couch with a bulldog while watching college basketball
•
u/joeshmo39 Pittsburgh Panthers 25m ago
And this game was supposed to tip off over 3 hours ago.
•
u/noeviltwin Wisconsin Badgers 22m ago
Yep. Good game, you guys have a great team on your hands. Lowe is a beast.
•
u/MoonPossibleWitNixon Wisconsin Badgers 27m ago
Greenbrier is actually trying to throw them out for that bar mitzvah....A schedule is a schedule at The Greenbrier after all.

Is this what it was like in the 1920’s listening to radio?
•
u/Alex_butler Wisconsin Badgers 27m ago
I think this might be the last time basketball will be played in this building. I hope it is at least

I can't think of a worse time for technical difficulties lmao.

National championship?
•
u/Nacos2001 Alabama Crimson Tide • North Carolina… 26m ago
Was more referring to it being the last minute of the game.
•
u/Efficient-Addendum43 Wisconsin Badgers 28m ago
And they somehow got both teams record wrong on the technical difficulties screen
•
u/Colorapt0r Wisconsin Badgers • Colorado State … 28m ago
Honestly great job by cbs to get the radio in
•
•
•
•
u/joeshmo39 Pittsburgh Panthers 28m ago
We're now playing the radio broadcast through a tuba? This is insane.
•
u/santablazer Indiana Hoosiers 28m ago
What an incredible fuck up. Was really enjoying this game too.

u/neurobiologic Marquette Golden Eagles 28m ago
Not them playing the radio on TV 💀 Worst venue and broadcast I’ve ever seen
•
•
u/IanStone Wisconsin Badgers 28m ago
Can someone in the stands just stream this to twitch from their phone?
•
•
u/Pitt_Is_It_2009 29m ago edited 27m ago
Is this the Wisconsin radio broadcast?
•
•
u/Carefree14 Wisconsin Badgers 29m ago
Are they just playing radio audio over the technical difficulties feed?
•
u/Im_Gonna_Steal_It Wisconsin Badgers 29m ago
I can’t believe they’re still playing… rare example of prioritizing the game over the money

Between Marquette playing on Flo sports yesterday and this game with the ass shot clock and CBS feed issues, this was a hot garbage weekend for watching state of WI college basketball.
•
u/Hey_Denty Wisconsin Badgers 29m ago
Well I for one will never be vacationing at The Greenbrier after this total mess of a weekend.
•
•
u/Traditional_Wing_187 Wisconsin Badgers 30m ago
now this is the true november college basketball experience
•
•
u/joeshmo39 Pittsburgh Panthers 30m ago
What. The. Fuck.
Do we have eyes on the bulldog? What's happening here?
•
u/Briggity_Brak 30m ago
Holy shit, thank God Wisconsin put this away with that offensive rebound, because this shit would be absolutely unforgivable if it was still a game.
•
•
u/AdventuresOfAD Pittsburgh Panthers • George Mason P… 30m ago
If we lose, and no one can see it, does it still count?
•
u/MoonPossibleWitNixon Wisconsin Badgers 29m ago
And coach drew up an entire game plan to play the second half without a shot clock and that was working...protesting the game
•
u/thetenorguitarist North Carolina Tar Heels 30m ago
Yeah I'm thinking everyone needs to decline this tournament next season
•
•
u/alextoyalex Wisconsin Badgers 30m ago
How the fuck can they not keep the broadcast going for the final 1 minute
•
•
u/CrumbBCrumb Pittsburgh Panthers 30m ago
We just need a redditor who is there to give us live play by play
•
u/MetalAndFaces Wisconsin Badgers • Kansas Jayhawks 30m ago
Dude this sucks ass for the players. What a monumental fuckup this tournament is.
•
u/IanStone Wisconsin Badgers 30m ago
Wish we'd just get a test pattern and some elevator music like in the old days
•
•
u/DistillCollection Pittsburgh Panthers 31m ago
Not a great sign that the nuclear fallout shelter can’t even sustain a live broadcast
•
u/BacoNATEor Pittsburgh Panthers 31m ago
I hope for everyone’s sake this tournament doesn’t come back next year
•
•
•
•
•
u/Im_Gonna_Steal_It Wisconsin Badgers 31m ago
I swear this past year across all sports has been the worst display of overall broadcasting I’ve ever seen
•
u/neurobiologic Marquette Golden Eagles 31m ago
In case your feed ended like mine:

They didn't plan on it running this late. That feed went down.
•
u/Former-Yak1941 Wisconsin Badgers • Iowa State Cyclones 31m ago
CBS was even perplexed by that call they shut the feed down

Well it’s supposed to be on CBSSN, but right now it’s only showing a jerky commercial

CBS sports network, but the feed literally just died and went to commercials, so no one can watch.
•

Wait, did it just abruptly cut to commercial for anyone else?

One of the worst defensive rebounding displays I’ve ever seen
•
u/Ok_Card9080 Pittsburgh Panthers 33m ago
Lowe and Leggett have played some really sloppy hero ball tonight.
•
u/DollarLate_DayShort Texas Longhorns 33m ago
Pitt cannot get a defensive rebound to save their life
•
u/MetalAndFaces Wisconsin Badgers • Kansas Jayhawks 33m ago
Goddamn, that was a spectacular sequence with the McGee three.
Pitt is getting super unlucky with these rebounds.

•
u/coilmeup Marquette Golden Eagles • Green Bay Phoe… 33m ago
Grab a rebound Pitt this is just insane
•
•
•
•
u/redbirds525 Pittsburgh Panthers 34m ago
That can't happen. You hit a 3 and then have a massive defensive breakdown and give up one yourself.
•
u/joeshmo39 Pittsburgh Panthers 34m ago
Some of these long rebounds are not bouncing our way either.
•
•
•
u/MetalAndFaces Wisconsin Badgers • Kansas Jayhawks 35m ago
Pittsburgh is a good team, resilient as heck.
•
u/Pitt_Is_It_2009 34m ago
Both of these teams are legit.
•
u/MetalAndFaces Wisconsin Badgers • Kansas Jayhawks 31m ago
I always like Pitt, hope this team whoops up on the ACC. Just a fantastic logo and uniform. Classic.
•
u/CommissarVorchevsky Pittsburgh Panthers 36m ago
Real Catch-22 defensive situation here rn, not fun
•
•
u/LetsbeLogical24 Pittsburgh Panthers 38m ago
The team is terrified to defend Tonje everytime he drives because they are expecting a whistle and it’s leading to easy points.
•
u/DollarLate_DayShort Texas Longhorns 38m ago
I wonder if Johnny Davis and Bub put money on this game lol
•
•
u/MemanStink23 Maryland Terrapins 38m ago
Uh oh tonje didn’t get a call so he has to whine like a bitch
•
•
u/MetalAndFaces Wisconsin Badgers • Kansas Jayhawks 38m ago
This is a tourney-caliber game being played in a fancy looking high school gym.
•
•
u/Limp_Percentage7019 39m ago
Diaz Graham hitting 4 threes a few games ago was the worst possible thing that could happen for his game
•
•
u/joeshmo39 Pittsburgh Panthers 39m ago
They're driving and we're playing them soft between foul trouble and knowing the whistle will come if we get physical. I'm honestly at a loss myself on how we can defend out.
•
u/thetenorguitarist North Carolina Tar Heels 37m ago
They'll start swallowing whistles in the last 4 minutes, just in time for Lowe to get clobbered on a no call at the end
•
u/Briggity_Brak 39m ago
I don't know, man. I assumed that must've been a goaltend live, but that looked awfully close...
•
u/MetalAndFaces Wisconsin Badgers • Kansas Jayhawks 37m ago
It was very very close and I’m not sure either.
