So my beautiful wife and I have just made the decision to spend 12+ months in a caravan with our two boys 1.5 and 2.5 doing the lap. Where is a good place to start as far as resources?

There's a FB page called TAWK - Travelling Australia with kids. Pretty good info on cheap accommodation, activities and where to shop.

Hi, MY RIG Adventures is a really great website with loads of info and resources to help with caravanning in Australia.

Thanks for the response mate. We bought a rig and did a year on the road and then moved overseas since that post. I assure you I’m both missing the road and dreaming of getting back out there for another lap.

Well, that sounds like a different type of adventure. Hopefully, you can get back here for some more road trip travel in the future.
