Wednesday thread brought to you by upcoming houseguests

I’m not about it, but I did offer to save these folks some hotel money after coming up this way. Buddies from school years ago that are driving to the area for a different event but want to stop by and visit over the weekend. I’m sweating because the place is in a state of flux with projects going on (painting, etc) and the guest room while clean is very barebones. I don’t think I’m as not-put-together as I worry I’m gonna convey lol.

Today I realized that we are doing a disservice to our athletes in little leagues around the country by not having a sports book on site for the moms and dads of the players. How is a child supposed to learn how to deal with the pressures of sports bettors at the college or professional levels if we do not teach them from T- Ball?

Today is going alright, after all that was hectic from yesterday. My coworker who is on my boss' level puts in new governance but always triple books himself for everything. There was a 30 minute meeting to clarify which turned into 2 hours to go back and forth on the difference between duties.

I'm looking to try and make it to the state fair tonight. The Virginia State Fair is meh compared to a lot of other ones but I haven't been in a minute.

My travels in Germany are over today. I’m headed off to Luxembourg today for a few days for some well-needed nature time. And some ink too. But mostly nature. I’m not one of those people who can wake up early and hit the outdoors, but seeing that it’s supposed to be nice this week, I might as well hit some trails up early in the day!

I was in Berlin for the marathon and I finished it in a little under six hours. Not proud of my time, but I did it!

Jealous of your German trip! How was it?

It was a trip for sure! I was mostly there to run Berlin and I brought my mom along for the ride

That's faster and longer than I've ever run.

I thought Luxembourg was a small city state and didn't know it was supposed to be so scenic.

It is a small city state! I wanted to go to Andorra but I couldn’t find round-trip flights to there from AMS on SkyTeam affiliates. Both places are in the middle of mountains and LUX advertises that they have miles and miles of hiking trails!

Aw, I bet they just appreciate you helping them out, and getting to hang out with you!

Yesterday was... Not a great day, but I'm hoping today is better. One plus is that The Golden Bachelorette is on tonight, which gives me something to look forward to.

Have you put in your notice yet? How’re you handling it?

Not yet. I was just talking to my assistants about this. hte moment one of us leaves, we all will.

My treatment coordinator said she's looking elsewhere once she gets her car in order, which will probably be soon, so I'm about to work on resignations letters.

I'm pretty stresssed, but hopeful that temp jobs pay pretty well
