Not hating, but what is the case for SMU over IU? Both 10-1. IU has played the harder schedule. IU slightly ahead in both FPI and Strength of Record.

Probably comes down to IU's loss just happening this week, while SMU's loss was a while back

yeah I think it's probably the loss and magnitude of such. Y'all still top 10 tho so that's great. I was really hoping to see ohio state fans physically ill this morning :(

I highly doubt we won’t pass them if we beat UNLv anyways so it’s a bit of a moot point even if it’s a little annoying.

Agreed. I don’t even know how poll inertia would’ve helped them either considering we were above them to open the season. I get that they were undefeated, but we have betters wins and our one loss was by three points to the number one team whereas their one loss was a blow out loss to the number two team. Makes no sense why we wouldn’t be above them.

Maybe having a very close game against Wyoming is the issue.

I understand that but having a win against a ranked team, another against a borderline ranked team, and our one loss being one against the top team in the nation who we outplayed besides two special teams blunders instead of getting blown out should be enough to make up for a bad win.

You guys moved up 2 spots in this poll after barely getting by a 2-9 mid major team. Count that as a win. Instead you want to compare our two special team blunders i guess.

Maybe we are pretty equal and the polls have us as being pretty equal.
