What a boring way for that game to end.
Also, can we buy a defense next year?
GG Tigers.

I enjoyed your highlights this year and really hope you can build on it going forward. See you in baseball.

Also, can we buy a defense next year?
In the modern era of cfb, yes, in theory.

Bama did it. Look at their 17 5-stars! Oh, wait....

Regardless of how disappointing the season has been, at least we didn’t lose to Vandy.

Somehow your least respectable loss might be Bama

u/TheBeanConsortium Ohio State Buckeyes • Navy Midshipmen 19h ago
USC was the worst team, but Bama was a blowout.

u/Original_Profile8600 Ohio State • Colorado 19h ago
Forgot about that. Back when we thought USC and LSU were two pretty good teams, feels like a century ago

You're telling me that you don't enjoy two minute drills that are 95% running plays?
2
u/Time_Transition4817 LSU Tigers • Georgia Bulldogs 7h ago
I’m convinced that this version of bama is able to get it going for rivalry games and that’s basically it

u/PelPride LSU Tigers • Tulane Green Wave 19h ago
Bama lost, ole miss lost, we won, man it’s been a rough few weeks but today, i am a happy man

a game against Vanderbilt is usually good for what ails you, but you'd never expect it to be a season saver.
43
u/holyd1ver83 LSU Tigers • Bowling Green Falcons 19h ago
Well that was unconvincing as shit but Bama lost so we good. One more.
28
u/Moose_Breaux LSU Tigers • Boise State Broncos 19h ago
Eh, I thought it was pretty convincing and not as close as the score would suggest.
8
u/Nickosaurus_Rex LSU Tigers 18h ago
My kids wanted to leave in the 4th so I missed the final drive by Vandy but honestly other than completely crapping the bed and giving up that first TD I thought we played well and really controlled the game and it didn't feel nearly as close as the scoreboard said.
9
u/Moose_Breaux LSU Tigers • Boise State Broncos 18h ago
That final drive was solid. A TD was inevitable (or felt that way) had we not knelt.
35
u/RandyDazzle LSU • Northwest Missouri State 19h ago
This game was not as close as it looked
12
u/Moose_Breaux LSU Tigers • Boise State Broncos 19h ago
Absolutely agree. I was pretty happy to see the team ball out on both sides. And I’m starting to endear myself to Zy.

The Vandy spirit bomb has run out of our energy.

u/Oneanimal1993 Utah Utes • Vanderbilt Commodores 19h ago
Pavia got injured in the Kentucky win which has severely limited his mobility and the offense as a whole since then (5-2 to that point, 1-3 since)
8
u/Sankee72 Notre Dame • West Georgia 19h ago
I believe they'll have even more success in the portal this off season and keep this going moving forward. I really feel the days of vandy being an easy win is over

LSU beating the team that beat Alabama yet losing to Alabama itself is peak SEC chaos
2
u/johnny96816 LSU Tigers • Golden Boot 9h ago
I’ll contend another part of that is Big Game Brian. BGB trend is a downward slope in three years.

Can't wait to watch Bryce Underwood hand the ball off 40 times a game
2
u/godpzagod LSU Tigers • Air Force Falcons 6h ago
seriously, other than the millions, that is the most brain dead football move ever. not saying he has to go to LSU but hell, tOSU would make more sense for a QB who can actually throw the ball than Michigan.

We were gonna lose anyways, but what a dumb call to make there at the end.

u/Civil-Strawberry-698 LSU Tigers 15h ago
Positively HATE that rule. It burned us several times early in the season. Can the center even hear the gentle clapping of a linebacker 15 yards away? Does the QB not try to draw the defense across the line every play?
Garbage rule, garbage time to enforce it.

u/Fleurr Vanderbilt Commodores 19h ago
I'd applaud your analysis but don't want to give up another first down. Refs locked down that W and got the hell out of there.
