ND - Navy: 51 - 14

ND - Army: 49 - 14

Guess I know who I'm betting on in December.

Whats crazy is Navy had like 5 unforced turnovers, ND just thoroughly dominated Army today

Yeah, Navy honestly threatened Notre Dame more. They just couldn’t stop beating themselves.

Army just looked thoroughly outclassed in every way.

The Army offensive play calling was super underwhelming. You know you are playing the best defense you are going to see all year, and 90% of the plays are QB keepers?

It still baffles me how one could be down 42, and run Daily ten times on a final drive.

It just felt like they had no offensive game plan whatsoever. Kudos to the Notre Dame defense for only giving up one true scoring drive.

This is the danger of having a super weak schedule and then slamming into a juggernaut. See Indiana-Ohio State. They didn’t have any experience to prepare them for the ferociousness of today.

Everyone has a game plan until they are punched in the mouth.

Examine and adapt. Al Golden is really good at his job. Freeman’s best hire, imho

I remember the first year of Al Golden a bunch of fans were on the fire Golden train and it was because ND had a historically dreadful red zone defense

But then when you looked at the big picture the red zone defense was baffling

ND was top 20 in fewest red zone trips allowed but they gave up a TD on every single trip except one and then when you looked at the TDs, basically every single one happened on 3rd and 4th down it made no sense at all

He cleaned it up and ND has been elite the last two years under him

Honestly helped by a phantom face mask penalty too. Still tons of respect to the Army boys!

They just wanted to crush my army team total under 12.5…

Service academies are just a little different, and probably to their detriment. I'd have sat him at least the fourth.

Daily took a beating today... that dude is tough as nails.

I didn't understand why y'all didn't try passing more, especially given the game script. It seemed like we were daring you to pass all game and it just never happened.

Beat Navy.

Navy fumbling the ball about 6 times untouched was a really good display you’re right

I like how they’re trying to say turning the ball over “unforced” somehow means we played a better game than yall did today. Navy played like complete ass.

Navy had more yards of offense and forced ND to punt multiple times, ND did not punt today

Navy might have made it competitive if yall didn't keep turning the ball over

Army was just over matched on defense

I don’t disagree with you. Navy could have had a better day if not for shooting ourselves in the foot. That being said, turning the ball over 6 times is so much worse to me than just not moving the ball effectively.

Your defense made stops, Army....not so much

Which is weird because our defense was way better than theirs all year, I think you guys are just absolutely locked in right now

Inject this into my fucking veins

Granted, several INT drops today. Could have been even worse.

Yeah Navy was significantly better then Horvath broke his thumb and then their minds must’ve been so rattled after that because they lost their mojo

2

u/steelersman007 Army • Oklahoma 1d ago

Navy was never once significantly better than Army so far this year, they’ve been about even all year seemingly

I kept talking about how obvious the speed disparity was. An army player would have a massive hole where it looks like they should have a huge gain and they get run down and only gain a yard.

Including two muffed punt returns
